Tonight we ordered in for shrimp rice ! It is delicious and definitely plenty to share! If you have a big appetite, this tray of shrimp fried rice will fill you up. Again it is amazing and I had to add my picture of our family's favorite. It was date night and we both craved that rice. This place does quite a job sending out piping hot food! I've been trying to find good Chinese food in Tacoma for years. And thanks to a coworker, I've finally found it. After I placed my order Over the phone, they told me 10-15 min. I arrived 13 min later and my food was already bagged and waiting for me. I ordered: 4 egg rolls that were really good, chicken fried rice that was my favorite and came in a huge portion, general chicken that had a nice tang and good crunch, and finally Kung pow chicken that was my least favorite, but still good. I've never had an issue with togo from here, but both my Cashew Chicken and my guests entree were primarily dark meat chicken that was either old and/or poor quality in general. I also consider myself an eggroll snob (having moved from Salt Lake City, where they are all battered before frying - ugh!!) and think this place has some of the best!! I had the orange chicken, the Wednesday special, and my husband opted for the sesame chicken. First off, I was amazed at how much food we received. On Jan 15th 2024 I arrived at Wok V Teriyaki to pick up an online order. I approached the counter and let the women behind the counter know I there for an online order but we were early. She checked her tablet and told me there was no order. She then told me I do not have a Doordash order to which I told her I was not a Doordash driver. I then showed her my online order and that the online site says I can do store pick up.Then she says no she does not even do that its only through Doordash. Why its an option if they do not offer that service then does not make sense. I said okay and went to table to just make a order while I was there. As myself and my son are sitting at the table the women inexplicably asks me if I was just in and tricked their employee in to giving me a refund. I look up perplexed and told her No, I have never been in here before. She squinted at me and said are you sure. To which I said yes, I have never been in here. At that point I decided to leave. This women just assumed that my mere presence and blackness must mean I am some sort of scammer trying to get over on her. I will never spend money at the business and strongly suggest that if you are a Black person you do not spend your money here. In the future do not make assumptions about people. read more

Called an order for teriyaki and gyoza combo. Chicken wasn't over cooked and the teriyaki sauce they use is what I like; rich but not too tangy and over drenched. Gyoza was good. As some have reviewed, the portions are not huge but not small either. Kinda surprised that they only put two scoops of rice, as I like to eat a lot of rice to counter the teriyaki sauce; just my preference. A lot of parking and the restaurant looked better then what I typically see with teriyaki establishments. They also offer virtual punch cards. For a new person eating here, you have the potential to earn 6 punches off the bat. Ordered pickup, was ready promptly and the service was good. Went in on Black Friday around 6:45 and it wasn't very busy. Got chicken teriyaki with a side of gyoza. Gyoza was extremely average, sauce was good. The salad dressing was bland, not sweet like most the side salads you get with teriyaki. The spicy teriyaki was satisfying but average. Tacoma doesn't have a ton of great Sushi, but this is definitely one of the gems. I haven't even tried the teriyaki here yet because there are so many different rolls to choose from that are delicious. The outside of the building doesn't look like much, as it is hidden on the end of a little strip mall, but the decor and furniture inside are comfortable and clean, and the sushi bar is not only fantastic, its' one of the few I know of that plays Mariners' games almost exclusively. Recommendations: Their Rainbow Roll is a combination of two kinds of tuna, salmon, shrimp, and whitefish. Gorgeous presentation and everything is always fresh. I know that seems like a necessity for sushi but it seems like only about fifty percent of the time I have sushi is the avocado actually that perfect yellow and green and I really appreciate it when a restaurant takes pride in the whole roll, not just the fish. The dragon roll is great as well, and needs no explanation. One of my friends recommends the spicy teriyaki chicken with persistence as well, and i definitely trust his judgement as I believe he's tried spicy teriyaki chicken in about 60 restaurants across three states. I absolutely adore this place! I am not a huge teriyaki fan and I like that there are many other choices on the menu. It ranges from Chinese to Japanese....they now have some sushi options too. I usually go for lunch and order the spicy chicken and tempura combo. It is very tasty and plentiful....all for around $8. They also serve egg drop soup with all meals.
