Phenomenal sushi. Everything was fresh and delicious. We just happened upon this spot because the place we were going to had closed down permanently, so we found the next closest spot and we're so glad we did! Will definitely be back.

I remember seeing a video on Instagram about this place because it has fun nerdy themed rolls and cocktails from anime, video games, and movies which is always a must visit for me. My boyfriend and I was in the area so we decided to stop by and saw they even had lunch specials. We arrived and there were a few tables as well as a few customers waiting for a take out order. We waited to be seated and it didn't take long before our waitress led us to a table near the window. We were given three different menus composing of their regular menu, lunch menu and a fun guide to help sushi lovers/non-lovers to find a roll that best suits them. They offer quite a bit of variety for people who enjoy sushi, who prefer non-sushi items and even a fun non-alcoholic drinks menu for those who enjoy coffee, fruity drinks or sodas. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The decor in here is very minimal and doesn't really fit the vibes that they seem to be going for, as they have beautiful piano music playing the background and it feels like they are trying to go for a more upscale experience from their presentation, food offerings and prices.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They do also have infused orange water too, so I feel they should do more with their decor to truly elevate the experience here. Our waitress was very professional and efficient, she came to check on us when appropriate and served other tables with the same professionalism and smile. I got the Mermaid Princess which was beautifully and tastefully crafted! Themed drinks and food can be tricky if it's just randomly thrown together but you can tell there was a creative and thoughtful mind behind this creation. For food, I got their NY steak yakimono with my choice sides being the miso soup and white rice, while my boyfriend got the Double Bubble choosing the Philadelphia roll and shrimp tempura roll. We got an order of their shrimp tempura basket later too and it arrived pretty quickly. I asked for my NY steak to be cooked medium rare and they executed it perfectly as it was tender and juicy. The miso soup was good but disappointing as it was just the broth, no seaweed, tofu or green onions to make it more memorable. They do also give much more rice than necessary compared to the meat ratio. My boyfriend's rolls were hearty as other places have smaller rolls but the cuts of ingredients and amount of rice was definitely more generous than other sushi restaurants. The shrimp tempura's exterior was perfectly crunchy while the inside was soft and chewy. I definitely want to come back to try their other cocktails, food items and sushi rolls.

Wife been craving some sushi and we landed to this place. The staff immediately I can say are super friendly and attentive. They are so helpful and friendly. The food was yummy. We ordered a bunch of things starting with garlic edamame and hamachi jalapeño which both had a lot of flavors. We are ordered the Midori-$28 which consist of chefs choice 6pcs of sashimi and 4pc nigiri. All was overall good. I ordered off the Teppanyaki menu and got NY steak at $25 they come in cubed size steak and 2 side. Huge portions on the sides. Parking is located in front of the building and around the area. Overall great food and service.

If you love sushi and teppanyaki, I def recommend trying this place! They're located in Fircrest and is close to TCC. Super friendly customer service! Our waitress checked on us a few times to make sure everything was good. We ordered the chicken + shrimp, filet mignon, and NY steak + chicken + shrimp teppanyaki. You get to pick two sides such as noodles/ rice/ fried rice/ salad/ mixed vegetables/ etc. We chose different sides so we could have variety to share. First off, the servings are huge!! None of us finished our meal and had to pack it to-go because there was so much leftover lol. I loved all the sauce that the teppanyaki came with. They had a sesame salad dressing that tasted amazing as well! The fried rice and noodles were both delicious and had a nice grilled/ wok smoke flavor to it. All teppanyaki dishes come with a small bowl of miso soup. I thought the NY steak was too chewy but that and filet mignon did have a nice grilled char flavor. The chicken was a little dry, mostly because it's white chicken meat. The shrimps were small but juicy and tender. The sushi was sooo good! There's so many rolls so it can be overwhelming to choose lol. We opt for Captain Hook roll. Hungry man roll, dumbo roll, and pikachu roll. My favorite is the Captain Hook which is a baked roll with salmon on top. Hungry man is a deep fried roll with crab mix. Dumbo roll has spicy tuna on top. Pikachu is also a deep fried roll but is a smaller portion than the rest of the rolls we ordered. They gave us a plate of ginger and wasabi in the cutest tiny teacup! We also got the shrimp tempura basket because it was part of their April's special menu. It's $2 off so it's about $7 for 5 shrimp tempura. I thought it tasted ok, but is a little expensive. Prices are kind of on the higher side. I think our teppanyaki dishes were between $25-$40 each and sushi rolls were $13-$17. Our total bill after tip was ~$240. I thought it was worth it tho because the portions were huge and everything was great.

IG came in clutch last night with dinner recommendations. My friend and I went right after to work and we definitely over ordered but it was well worth it! Signs on door mention that not all items are available but there is still an extensive selections of appetizers, rolls, soups and rice bowls to choose from. And our waitress was kind enough to take off the items that were unavailable. Ambiance: This is an intimate and cozy restaurant. We loved the atmosphere. This was the perfect place to chill and catch up. Service: 10/10 best service we had. Ps this is a family owned restaurant. The two sisters were kind and gave us wonderful recommendations. And suggested a speciality roll that was on sale. I think it was the Cherry Blossom sale. It was so cute. Food: my pictures were lackluster last evening because I was in a hurry to eat and sample everything. The rolls were delicious, I could taste the freshness. And I appreciate when rolls are not smothered in sauce. The highlight of the meal was the 5 Layer Dip with wonton chips. The Tempera Don was so deliciously crunchy with all fresh veggies.

Updating my review to 5 stars.. I love this place. the best chirashi staff is super nice, chefs are women mostly I think. The food is fuhressh. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Smaller quaint spot but it hasn't been too busy the times I've gone[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. Great place for a group that has people who don't eat sushi cause they have lots of other options like teppanyaki!

My first time here and highly recommend this place. Everyone is so nice and service is great. I ordered the Salmon Lemon and had the potato appetizer (forgot what it is called) the wasabi sauce is yummy!

I live in TX now and I think about this sushi all the time. I only get to come back to WA every now and then but when I do this is one of my first stops. The service was great, staff was very friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere was relaxing, and clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My favorite is there funky monkey drink, I crave that drink.

I wish I could do a 4 1/2 star because I like these kinds of places if done well. Host: good - they sat me pretty fast because place half full. Good service overall. Ordering: excellent menu, but if you are going to serve Japanese food, you should stay in that theme, but miso soup is not on the menu. (STRANGE). She actually explained why they don't have moso, but I will let you hear it from her when you visit. Food: ordered Charashi bowl, and it was excellent. Price: Everything in the PNW is over-price, Good experience overall, but not having a sushi bar to sit for couples and single people will keep them from truly growing or making the true profits that most japanese restaurants make in Seattle.

We had their pearls on the beach sushi roll which was pretty good. The sushi was fresh and I enjoyed the sauce that came with it. The service was okay. The food took some time to make. The server lost my credit card and I was the one that had to bring it up for them to find it so that was disappointing. The ambiance is nice. The non-hibachi area has a nice setting with nice flowers and lighting on the ceiling. However, during busy hours, it can be pretty loud due to the hibachi area.

The kids really enjoyed the Hibachi grill here. I usually stay away from these types of places…read morebecause they can be overpriced and underwhelming. However, my son really wanted to take us on a "date". I'm glad we agreed because the chef was funny and entertaining which kept the kids engaged. The food was priced accordingly for the portion we got. One meal can easily feed 2. My only feedback is that the soy sauce makes the food salty and one note. Great if you love teriyaki. Kids loved it of course. I appreciated the cook on my filet mignon and the chef obliged my request to skip adding the sauce on my salmon. My Mom had Mahi Mahi and I would order that next time. Each grill has 8 seats. Since we were a party of 5 and we came mid afternoon on a Saturday, we didn't have to share the space. I've tried the regular menu a long time ago and I can't recall if it was a good meal. Seems like there are a lot of recent reviews of the sushi being bad. Hopefully the owners will take the feedback into account because I really wanted to go back to try the sushi!
