The restaurant has a trendy, upscale atmosphere with beautiful décor and a lively vibe that makes it a great spot for catching up with friends. We ordered the bottomless mimosas, and they kept them coming without us having to ask. The service was attentive, friendly, and made us feel welcome throughout our visit. For my meal, I ordered the lamb burger with fries. The burger was juicy, well-seasoned, and packed with flavor. The fries were crispy, fresh, and the perfect side to complement the meal. I love trying new places but this wasn't one of them. I ordered the Crab & Calabrian Chili Bigoli and what I received was pasta drowned in a sauce. Keep in mind that it took forever to receive and we were there when the restaurant transitioned to the dinner menu. No crab meat whatsoever ever could be seen in the entree that I ordered and the pasta was hard. It made me wonder whether I read the menu correctly. I'm grateful that it wasn't an issue getting it remade. I ended up eating it all. Turns out, this is a dish I'll probably only order once. Overall, I loved our bartenders and they were all super sweet and helpful to one another. There was also complimentary valet and he was a pleasure as well. A very disappointing experience. If you are considering coming here, definitely reconsider. I've already written a review on Google, to which the owner replied and lied about when we arrived, which I have proof of on there. I am only writing a review on here because of their dishonest response. I booked my wedding dinner here for 18 people. We were running about half an hour late and let the restaurant know. We thought it would be fine because our reservation slot was for 2.5 hours, which is plenty of time. From the moment we arrived service was extremely slow. Drinks took forever to come and some were forgotten. My friend got a virgin raspberry mojito and it was so sour it was undrinkable. We had asked multiple times for one regular menu to order from and for some simple syrup for the mojito, neither of which we got. We pretty much had one server for our table of 18 people, and he was serving other tables as well. He told us at the start that another server would be helping but she was barely seen. It got to the point where my husband and I had to get up to talk to management. They were apologetic, gave us a bottle of rose, and asked how they can make it better. I told them that things need to be on time not just because we were approaching the end of our reservation but also because we had plans right after. Service was still slow and once we were finished we were still sitting and waiting for the check. We ended up being late to our other plans. Keep in mind this was our wedding day. We had just gotten married and everybody was in a great mood. We were nice and clearly communicated our needs even though service was lacking throughout the whole dinner. I write a review and then a day later they reply to my review, telling lies to try and discredit me. As if the poor service during dinner wasn't enough, their timing and dishonesty reflects their lack of respect for their customers. We spent over $2000 which included a 22% gratuity fee. Such a waste of money. You couldn't pay me to come here again. If you're looking for a restaurant for a wedding, proposal, anniversary, celebration, graduation, reunion, date, large party, or really anything, save yourself the trouble. I arrived at 5Church a little early so I sent at the bar after valet parking the car, complementary of course, because they were still doing happy hour waiting for the girls to get there. The bartender by far was amazing. He didn't waste any time telling me about the Valentine's Day drinks and the specials for happy hour. I ordered the TEQUILING ME SOFTLY lunazul tequila, cacasa leblon, agave, white peach, limes $15. A little expensive, but it was worth it treating Myself for the night. I also ordered a glass of Pinot Noir by Saddlebred Cellars $7, which I took to the table with me! After being seated, the waiter took our appetizers and entrée orders. Heard good things about this restaurant . More specifically their brunch , but we didn't have the time to go so we decided to go during dinner. The ambience and aesthetic of the restaurant was really nice and picture friendly. I was very displeased with finding hair in my crab dip. The waiter was kind to take it off our bill since we chose not to consume it anymore. I had the braised short rib which was nicely flavored , but a little dry. I had a mixed experience at 5Church for dinner. I heard this place is better know for their Sunday brunch, but we were unable to make it for brunch and I still wanted to check the restaurant out. I probably should have just passed on coming here for dinner, as I was not really impressed with their food. There was a hair found in our appetizer which definitely killed our vibe to start and we had to ask them to take it back. Everything else just felt bland, especially the lobster Mac and cheese which we had high hopes for. The Brussel sprouts were a little better with flavor, but I still didn't care for them. Now I will say the veal chop was good! That was the lone highlight food wise. My cocktail was also tasteful. Started with a wonderful Smoke on the Water cocktail and their famous Sushi Tots -- which were amazing and a feat of culinary magic. For my entree, the Mediterranean Tilefish (which was just a teensy bit overcooked mayhaps, but in a super-delicious broth that more than made up for it, making this wonderfully meaty fish delicious as well), which paired well with a nice glass of Sauvignon Blanc from Details in ?Sonoma that was recommended. Finally, closed things out with two HEAPING scoops of coconut gelato -- which I don't think I had ever had before, but was amazing and a perfect note on which to end. The bar area and restaurant in general is well decorated and instagrammable (is that a word?);I'm glad I decided to stay. The mimosas were refreshing, and I had the sushi tots for an appetizer. They were AMAZINGGG! Highly recommend. For an entree, I had steak and eggs, which was also very good. Celebrated 18 year anniversary here with my better half and had an absolutely wonderful time. 5Church Buckhead shines for special occasions and hallmark events and just note it is pretty difficult to get a reservation here in the sunroom but somehow my wife secured a reservation and we were able to experience the magic of 5Church. The wonderful vibe there was only improved by the superb service by Maila our server and Brie, the bartender who served us our wonderful cocktails and hand delivered them with a smile. We ordered 3 appetizers which were generous in size and 2 entrées. Here's what we got: Sticky Lamb Ribs (our favorite appetizer), sushi tots, soy glazed pork belly, shrimp and grits, and crab and calabrian chili bigoli. To drink we selected scent of a Woman, and a pineapple fizz mocktail. For dessert we ordered a strawberry shortcake creme brulee. We were stuffed by the end of the meal and very happy with our experience overall. 5Church Buckhead is a 5 star establishment and gets my two thumbs up as well. I'll start by stating that the interior design is absolutely beautiful! The design elements, bar layout, natural lighting, and artwork throughout are truly outstanding. My husband and I decided to grab a late Sunday lunch; however, unbeknownst to us, the regular menu was not available with the only food option being their brunch buffet. The per person price for the buffet was $50/pp which isn't out of the ordinary, but when I say 90% of the food on the buffet was either old, cold and/or completely dried out, it's a vast understatement. This included every meat on the carving station, which should honestly have been some of the fresher options. We tried several different foods, in search of anything fresher than the items initially selected, but we had zero success. In addition to the buffet, we each had two Bellinis and shared a bottle of Pellegrino. Our check came to a touch over $190 (with gratuity included in advance). As a former server, I'm always disappointed when gratuity is included for a two top (vs. a larger party when including gratuity is to be expected). Keep in mind, the only "serving" being done are drinks, given the buffet is self serve. With the majority of reviews convincingly favorable, to say we were disappointed is an understatement. My advice to future patrons is skip the Sunday buffet experience, it was a disappointing ending to an otherwise great weekend! read more

A group of friends and I were looking to celebrate one of their birthday's over brunch. Since we were looking at places the week before, lots of other hot spots were booked out. We were happy we could make reservations here. Valet is included besides tip. They gentlemen were efficient and professional. Our server offered us a round of champagne on the house for the birthday girl which we all gladly agreed to. For food we tried their Gritz, Salmon burger, Lamb burger, Sushi tots, Ham and cheese Quiche. Sushi tots were a fan favorite for the table. The deep fried rice was a perfect base for the fish as well as the drizzle of eel sauce and spicy mayo. I found the gritz to resemble more of a risotto given how cheesy and rice like the texture was. The quiche was light but also incredibly small. Definitely more of an appetizer than an entree. I loved the lamb burger but the french fries were kind of soft rather than crispy. Overall, we all had a pleasant time. The food was good but the prices were a little steep. Payment is done via the QR code on the table which allows you to split the bill however you want. Our bartender Tam created a specialty drink for us after I shared my likes/dislikes of flavors. It was perfection. The ambiance and decor is such a vibe and of course photo worthy. I returned for brunch to celebrate a friend's birthday, and the brunch experience was 10x better than my dinner experience was. For starters they have valet, which is super convenient considering the area. Valet is free btw, and if you don't carry cash on you like me, they do accept mobile ways to tip. For our entrees we ordered the quiche, 5church breakfast, stone ground grits, charred avocado toast, salmon sesame burger, lamb burger, and an eggs benedict( see pics)Everything was delicious, we all sampled each other's dishes, but what stood out the most were the grits, and the lamb burger. The grits (were huge btw, enough to split between a few people), had parmesan cheese on them. I was a little skeptical at first, but once I took that first bite, it was decided that I would return for brunch, even if it was JUST for the grits. Enjoyed an early lunch/brunch buffet at this location. I'd heard great things about it and was excited to take my Mom for her 75th birthday celebration. Reservations are highly encouraged as they have limited bar seating and walk-ins are slim. Also, there was a private party on the enclosed patio. To make matters worse it was a cold blast that came through so the draft was crazy from the front and patio door. Decor was on point with the aesthetics and they had a corner with some Christmas decorations - a santa and decorated tree. The buffet ($50 pp) is the main attraction. It's everything from cold salads, cheese tarts, a bagel bar, charcuterie, fruit, your standard breakfast items (bacon, chicken sausage, eggs, grits, hash browns) and the station for waffles & omelettes. The carving station had ham and prime rib. Then there were heavier dinner items like mashed potatoes, fried chicken, salmon cakes, steamed veggies and more that I didn't explore. The dessert spread was cookies, brownies, tres leches cake, pastries, cinnamon rolls and bread pudding. It was all a delight. The only remarks I'd make are the following: - Temperature. With the cold front it was drafty in the restaurant. We couldn't get comfortable. - Coffee. Initially served cold so it had to be brewed again for a hot cup. Our server didn't bring sugar, creamer or even a spoon or stirrer. It was odd for brunch service. - Decor. It's Christmas time and this location (compared to Midtown) was very demure. Came here one time two years ago and was not a fan of the food, but they made a come back for sure! I ordered shrimp and grits and my friend ordered steak. Mine was perfect! I love shrimp and grits and the flavor was just so amazing! The shrimp was cooked perfectly and the grits were... gritty... which I love hahaha. My friend also did like their steak, though it was too rare, but they didn't care to send it back to cook more lol. We also ordered some crispy rice with maybe tuna on top? It was okay. They offer two indoor dinings options.. either in the main dining area or on the sun-room, flower area. The food was very good--tasty! I have been for brunch three times and lunch once -- never disappointed. They serve your typical American cuisine. Brunch favorites like French toast, chicken and waffles, steak and eggs. My daughter was looking forward to the birthday dessert and candle at the end of dinner (we mentioned the occasion when booking). However, they did not offer this experience. When she asked about it, she was told that she can purchase a dessert (which is fine, but most restaurants do something nice for a birthday; paying wasn't an issue, but as a teen she liked the special touch...). We tried the Brunch Buffet experience for 45pp and honestly I have to say it was worth it. Their sunroom is absolutely gorgeous and the food was quality. The real star was the carving station with fresh Turkey and Ham. I tried the Turkey and it was juicy and hot. Such a delicacy on a brunch menu. Some of the other highlights were the Salmon Cake, the Chicken Sausage, and the fresh made DIY omelette. It was definitely worth the per person price. However since we were only a party of two we just ordered one Sangria carafe for $30 rather than each of us doing unlimited sangria for $30 each and we still each had 3 glasses. So save yourself the money unless you're REALLY trying to turn up.
