Nine Mile Station is one of those spots that has been around for a long time, and it always "feels" like a headwind to enter given the long lines for the rooftop elevator, but we finally were compelled to go for a birthday event. And we're glad we did! The service was friendly despite being overwhelmed by several parties at the restaurant. I was impressed by the congeniality of the waiters, the bar staff, and even the owner. We got the watermelon salad, the salmon salad, the truffle fries, and the green beans. All were quite delectable. Note that the truffle fries are addictive but heavy, so be cautious in consuming them! And perhaps it goes without saying, but the views are stunning, especially as we were there at twilight. This was my second time at 9 mile station. I love it up there because of the beautiful views. It's a great place to dine if your at Ponce City Market and want and elevated dining experience. I went here with my family after an event at City Winery. I had the pork chops with mashed potatoes that had a really nice light gravy and I also ordered a side of macaroni and cheese. Everything was absolutely delicious, I don't often eat pork chops and I was absolutely blown away by the flavors. Our service was pretty good for the size party that we had. Just getting up to the restaurant is an experience, you need to fill out a waiver to get up to the rooftop take a service elevator and once you're up there, you walk through somewhat of an amusement park on the roof with games and rides They have a very extensive list of beers and a few good drinks Their food selection is also very good. We came here (group of 8) for brunch before our flight back home after a long weekend bachelorette party! I made reservations few weeks prior and was able to get one. It's located at the Ponce City Market. They had a parking garage where you could park, so it was easy enough to get parked. To get to the Nine Mile Station (it's on the rooftop) was so unique and fun! You do have to sign a waiver to get up there, but when you do (after going up an industrial elevator), you'll find a carnival! There are games and slides up there - really cute. It wasn't great weather though so the slide was closed. Walking into Nine Mile Station, super cute! Loved the vibes inside. Our server, Ryan, was amazing!!! I booked a reservation for this restaurant for 20 people 1 week ahead of time for a week day dinner and everything went smoothly! I highly recommend coming here with a larger group for a celebration or a large gathering. The booking of the restaurant allows you to go up to the Ponce city rooftop for free since it is included in the reservation. The food was also delicious and there was a QR code on each table to easily split the bill and pay for your portion of the meal. The view is great and worth visiting at least once. That being said, after several very inconsistent visits over the years, I think it's best kept as a tourist attraction. Getting to the actual restaurant, much less leaving it once you're done, takes longer with every passing visit. I have had some really good dishes and some really so-so dishes here; most recently went for brunch and it was a bit bland and small portions for the price. I got the avocado toast with a crab cake. The crab cake was minuscule and I would not have added it on had I known. The eggs were undercooked. Husband got the huevos divorciados. Overall solid but lacking in seasoning. Our first visit to 9 Mile Station was absolutely awesome--we had such a great time! If you're looking for a special night out, this is the spot. First off, the outdoor ambiance is just incredible. The sky view of the city is genuinely lovely; it's a view to die for and makes the whole atmosphere feel great. The food was very good, I had the Chicken Fried Steak with gravy, and my husband's salmon was also fantastic. A huge shout-out to our waitress, Riley! She was the best--super attentive, sweet, and nice. She made us feel completely welcome, especially since it was our first time visiting. She even surprised my husband with a sweet treat and a glass of champagne for both of us for my husband's birthday. We will definitely be back next month for my birthday! **Reservations are required to visit 9 Mile Station unless you want to pay the general admission fee to access Skyline Park** Fantastic skyline views, but the service was quite absent. I was a bit disappointed that the notes that I left under my Open Table reservation were not taken into account by the staff. I had written on my Open Table reservation that I was celebrating an anniversary, and I asked for a table with a nice view. When I arrived, they asked if I was celebrating anything - it was at that moment that I realized they didn't see my notes. We were originally seated at a table with a fairly obstructed view, but I spotted a table with a better view, it just hadn't been cleaned yet. I was thankful that they let us switch tables. However, the service for the rest of the night was incredibly slow. Perhaps they were giving us space to be present with one another, but it was too much space. There were times when we wanted to order more, but just couldn't find our server. Same story for the check - we were being obvious about looking around for our server, and it took a while for us to find them. Locating 9 Mile Station: Writing notes here because I had a hard time finding it. Go to the base floor of Ponce City Market and go outside into the courtyard area. There should be a stand across from the big set of stairs where you'll check in (the stand is across from Posman Books). From there, you'll enter a big freight elevator that'll take you up to the rooftop. You CANNOT access the rooftop on your own by taking stairs or elevators within PCM. They do not go that high. Given that you have to park, sign a waiver, and take the freight elevator, I would recommend arriving an extra 15-20 minutes before your reservation! Parking at PCM is paid only. I have yet to find close, free street parking. The rates are not terrible, it was a little over $5 for 2 hours. Despite the lacking service, I would still highly rec visiting 9 Mile Station. I love rooftop bars and this one was pretty cool. Feel free to check out Skyline Park as well while you're up there. Otherwise it costs money to access Skyline Park! read more

Came here for a work dinner and seems like the hot spot for most work dinners. Our service Katie was really nice and gave the table great recommendations. She was very aware of a food allergy and made sure to let the kitchen know and let us know multiple times that the food for that individual was carefully prepped. We were celebrating a birthday today and had a reservation for 9pm. This was after a long scavenger hunt on the belt line, so we were absolutely tired and wanted to sit down and have a good meal. This didn't seem solely on the restaurant, but it seemed like it was hotter in Ponce City Market - including 9 Mile Station - than it was outside. We were seated outside, and the view is gorgeous. However, the only form of lighting near us were the string lights along the fence. We could barely see the menus, and it was annoying because looking around, other tables were given small lights. On top of that, our table was next to the wall that separates the restaurant from the mini golf course. It was kind of awkward to have people just staring at us while they were leaning against the wall waiting for their turn in mini golf, but that may just be more of a personal preference than anything. Our server was also really awkward. He did mention that he was new, and it was only his first week working. We tried to give him grace, but I think we were more annoyed with management for giving a new hire such a large table. It was clear that he still needed training as when my friend mentioned that he had a pine nut allergy and wanted to check if there was any other entrees outside of the pesto that had pine nuts. The waiter said "Oh, well don't order it. Sorry, the kitchen is mean." Which is super odd because my friend wasn't looking to order the pesto but wanted to make sure no other entrees had pine nuts and ensure there was no cross contamination. The waiter did end up apologizing later without prompting from us saying it probably came off poorly, but I feel like I had to mention that. Honestly, I struggled between giving this place a 1 or 2 star review purely because the food was ok. However, the price point and some of the portion sizes were off. My husband ordered the duck breast, and it came with three pieces and like three asparagus for $42. We've ordered similar dishes before from other restaurants, and the duck is much larger and plated a lot cleaner. My husband really liked the fried calamari, and the brussel sprouts were a hit. By the end, we waited essentially an hour for a check because the waiter didn't really stop by our table. Even though we mentioned it was a birthday dinner, my friend did not get a birthday dessert, though we saw this offered to other tables. When our server did finally come to give us the check, he told us he couldn't split the tab because he didn't know how even though it was a toast machine, and many of my friends knew how to work it and said it was easy to split the bill on it. My husband also snuck away early to ensure the birthday girl didn't pay for our meal, and it was $175 for the three of us. Later on, they accused us of still owing the $175, and we had to show our bank statement to show that we did pay it. Overall, I would not go back. You can get better food with better service for either the same price or even cheaper at other restaurants. The only upside to this place is the view, but it just wasn't worth it for us. read more

It felt longer than it needed to be, and they could definitely benefit from having a more direct or convenient path. That said, once you arrive, it's absolutely worth it. The space is beautiful, and the rooftop view at night is stunning--easily one of the best parts of the entire experience. Service was great from start to finish. We were greeted, seated, and taken care of quickly, and the food came out fast and hot, which I always appreciate. For my entrée, I had the salmon over curried rice, and this was definitely the highlight. The rice was rich, flavorful, and well-balanced with coconut milk and just the right amount of spice. It wasn't overly tomato-heavy, and the curry didn't overpower the dish--it complemented everything perfectly. The salmon itself was flaky, juicy, and cooked very well. On the side, I had mashed potatoes with gravy, which I'd rate about a 6/10. After adding salt and pepper, it improved, but the gravy was a little questionable in flavor. It wasn't bad, just not something I'd go out of my way to order again. We also tried the spicy chicken sandwich, which was very good. The spice level wasn't overwhelming but had a nice kick. The mac and cheese was decent--good, but not quite that homemade, baked mac and cheese you crave. It also needed a little seasoning to really stand out. For everything we ordered, including two drinks and a bottle of water, the total came out to about $142. We were in and out in about 40 minutes, which made for a smooth overall experience. I was so excited not only to experience igloos on the rooftop but also to try this restaurant, and I can say both didn't disappoint. I visited on a Sunday, and it was the perfect day. It wasn't crowded at all, and the weather was mid for December. We opted for brunch, so to reserve the igloo, there was a $150 fee and a $25 per person minimum, which wasn't hard to meet. The service was exceptional, and the restaurant was nice. But the best part of this restaurant, second to the food, was the view of Atlanta. Luckily for us, even in the igloo, it was present. Once you find your way to the restaurant there is both indoor and outdoor seating. The views of Atlanta are incredible. The bunch menu has some delicious offerings. The sticky bun is enough for 4-6 but definitely worth getting if there are only two of you. It reheats beautifully. The lox bagel was also really good. We also enjoyed the side of bacon. We had some issues with the kitchen on delay of some of our food but it wasn't enough to hurt the experience too much. The food that did come out was delicious. Everyone seemed to enjoy their food and drinks. The only issue I genuinely didn't like was their payment system. I'll try my best to explain... Their payment system was a little weird. We were in a group of 7, so I'd expected automatic gratuity. We had a scan of QR code and select the items we each ordered to pay for it separately. Once we did that and got our totals, it told us what our gratuity amount was on our separate bill, but didn't actually give us the percentage. Which is weird. It's like they were trying to hide it. Quick math was roughly 18%, again expected- that's pretty normal. However, when you hit next, it asked you to do additional tipping by 3, 5 or 7%. I am one that usually tips on top of gratuity that's already added bc big groups are hard to handle and they did a great job, however, there wasn't a fill in the blank on a specific amount I would like to add, just the three different % options, nor was I able to decline the additional tip if I wanted to. After I selected the additional tip % I hit next and was asked if I like to round up my bill. Not for any specific charity. Just round up the bill for them. At that point, it seemed a bit much. I'm normally overly generous with tipping, however that doesn't mean everyone else wanted to tip additionally on top of the automatic 18%. And not given an option to decline doesn't seem right, It just seemed a little shady. The brussel sprouts were seasoned perfectly. The salmon was good but I was disappointed in the size of my salmon compared to the lemon pepper salmon. My regular salmon was noticeably smaller. I also didn't like that my food was presented on 3 different small plates instead of one plate. It made NO sense. 4/5 Tips: The other ladies at my table ordered the curry rice with lemon pepper salmon said the curry rice was really spicy. Just a warning ‼ You have to checkin downstairs of ponce market and sign a waiver before you can be escorted to the elevator to the restaurant . Seems like a big hassle for dinner but I guess there is a reason for that. Overall, I would recommend a visit. The wait time to get entrees food was really long. Another time when a half star is needed. Really a 3.5 but due to service had to go up not down. Let me start by saying the restaurant is on top of a pretty cool shopping center. After browsing the stores a good place for a bite. Like I said it's on the roof top I think 9 stories so really good views of the city and I'm sure better at night. They have a cool bar and outdoor games for young kids or adult who have a young soul I guess. Either way cool and fun. Now onto the restaurant itself. You need reservations even when there and open tables because to go up to roof you need to pay or eat at restaurant. With reservations it's free to go up. When we got up top we were seated right away. The waitress came by pretty quick to get our drink order. We were there Saturday afternoon and before 4 it's basically a brunch menu which to me is a bummer. We were there about 230 so only a few non breakfast options. The food was decent. I got a burger with a sunny side egg and wife got the Cesar salad with grilled chicken. While both were good nothing really sticks out. Pretty basic but decent. There was a slight snag with our order and without even saying anything the staff and manager made things right. So as far as service it was terrific. Would I go back? Maybe. Definitely if with someone who wanted to go but not sure I'd go back with wife. Like I said the food was ok. If you have kids I can see where it would be really fun. read more
