The service provided by the staff is amazing as well from the valet outside to the waitress and team who took care of us in the private room. It was truly a positive interaction with everyone I came in contact with. The menu is tapas style and has something to offer everyone. From a simple salad to the lobster bites, there is a variety that fits any desire. So I've been to MCK a couple of times. The first time I went, I actually just had drinks, but it was a whole vibe. I went back and actually had some food with some drinks, and it was a really good time. The place is very well kept and super clean, and it's super spacious as well. You really have a lot of options as far as sitting, depending on what kind of group you have. You come there and you have to park and parking is not free. You're in Buckhead so you know the drill. Depending on what time of day, what night it is, you could pay about $10 - $20 to park. If you decided to ride share,I would understand. You make it to the door and go through security and you're in a beautiful restaurant in bars setup. The bar is very clean and well lit and decorative, and everything else is very clean as well as far as the decor and the setup for the restaurant area. And it's a lot of space too. So if you have a larger party, or a lot of people, you could definitely go here. Now they do have another area that you can't see right when you walk in. I don't know if it's like a hookah speakeasy kind of situation, but you have to go past the bathrooms into the hallway to a more hidden bar area. Now this one is a straight corridor, basically, and it's lined on either side tables and chairs. There's a bar toward the center so you still can access drinks (because there is a separate bar back there) but a lot of these tables will be where people do hookah. Of course it's Atlanta so they have to have an area for hookah lol! But this is still a very cool vibe. If you didn't want to do dinner you could just do drinks and hookah so it's an option. Papas bravas - these potatoes were done very well. They came out tender yet crispy. The sauce that they had with the potatoes was awesome. I wish I remembered what it was, but it was hittin. Crispy pork belly- the pork belly had a cauliflower cream sauce and came out with about four strips. The cauliflower cream sauce was alright, but the pork belly itself was great. It was very tender and had a nice bit of flavor to them, even without the sauce. They were nice-sized strips as well, so I definitely will order this for an appetizer another time. The absolute BEST dining experience I've had in a while -- and I be dining out, ok?! Me and a group of friends had dinner at MCK and were blown away by the service as well as everything else. The ambiance was unique and beautiful. As soon as we walked in, it just felt like it was going to be a great time. We were seated and ordered our cocktails which were so delicious. The food was really delicious and came out so fast. The thing that made this experience top tier was the service, hands down. The manager, Grace, really stood out because I made a request for something that was not on the menu -- partially joking, but hey... we miss 100% of the shots we don't take, right? Grace so nicely said "let me see what I can do" and within a few minutes she OVER delivered on what I requested. Wow!!! I was blown away! Even our server was shocked and wondered where that dish came from. Hahaha! This level of surprise and delight is so rare in restaurants-- especially in Atlanta. Atlanta is going to valet park you in a lot you can spit across and charge for the privilege! That said I hate looking for a spot to park. Went to MCK for the Bayab Gin tasting. We enjoyed it a lot. After the tasting we stayed for a few tapas. We ended up getting several dishes and cocktails. The stand out cocktail was Purple Rain. I've been charged with recreating it at home. We enjoyed all of the dishes and the three of us all had different favorites. Service was great. The manager, Grace, was friendly. The valet guys took our photo. The server recommended several drinks, but forgot to tell us that it was extra cost for the extra ingredients that he was adding in it. But it was a special occasion, so we kept the night rolling. I forgot our server's name, but he was a sweetheart and took care of our group of 5. There's a back room that's open if you ask your server. They have amazing hookah and cozy vibes as well. The Manager (Grace) treated us like family after telling her about our experience in ATL the past few days. We were there for 5 days and on the last night she made up for everything we experienced. MCK is one of my favorite places in Atlanta for multiple reasons. I've come here before for drinks and it has a really classy upscale environment and is a very good time. However, this past weekend for the first time I actually came here for dinner and honestly, I just assumed that the food would just be OK. I thought it would one of those places that people go to for vibes and drinks but if you order the food don't expect much but I was completely wrong. I ordered the salmon and it comes served over jalapeño cheddar grits and when I tell you, it was amazing I'm not exaggerating! It was so much better than I could've ever expected. The grits were soft, creamy, and flavored very nicely. The skin on the salmon was perfectly crispy on the top but then the actual filet was cooked to perfection and juicy. I feel like you literally just need to try it for yourself, but definitely if you come to MCK I would highly suggest ordering the salmon. The bread pudding is tasty too. Again, though even outside of the food, this is a great place to go on the weekends for a night out. The only thing that wasn't ideal was the service.. our waitress took a long time to check on us majority of the night and then rushed us to close out before we were ready but I still really enjoyed myself so it was okay. It does get pretty packed later in the night so be prepared for that but if you want a vibrant, upscale environment with good food definitely come here. read more

Though the outside of the restaurant is a bit chaotic, the inside holds a calmer atmosphere. There was soft music playing upon our entrance and we (a party of 5) were sat quickly on a Wednesday evening. We were looking for a quick bite before a night out and MCK was perfect for such an occasion. We shared some tapas that definitely held mixed reviews amongst the table. However, the stir fry mushrooms were a huge hit! I personally enjoyed the skirt steak, but I will admit the lobster bites and tuna tartare were a bit underwhelming and flavorless. Upon arriving, the valet was ready with umbrellas as I went on a rainy evening. They walked me all the way to the door to ensure I didn't get wet. Valet is $10, by the way. The atmosphere inside the restaurant had a great vibe. The décor is dark but chic, the lighting was low and the walls are lined with large black and white prints. We ordered a lot of different things so we could try a variety of foods. Side piece: This was a really good drink. I was worried the honey would make the drink too sweet but it was nicely balanced. Braised beef short rib with mushroom risotto: So good! It was flavorful and the short rib was tender. Bruschetta: I love bruschetta but I didn't enjoy these. There was an odd taste I couldn't figure out but it wasn't what I've known and loved bruschetta to be. Thai curry mussels: I didn't enjoy the flavor. Specialty bread pudding: Delicious! As for the service, everyone is really nice. It can get overwhelming at times because instead of having one server, all of the servers come over and check on you so every few minutes there's someone coming by. We dined at MCK last night two couples out and the music was great, maybe a little on the loud side, but definitely made the atmosphere fun. The plates that we ordered included the tuna, grouper bites, mussels, patatas bravas and skirt steak. Every single item was absolutely delicious. We had the espresso martini and the strawberry basil tequila drink and those were yummy too and not too sweet. I can't remember the last time I went somewhere and ate and everything was just perfection. The meat was tender, the mussels were cooked in a curry broth that had the perfect balance of sweet, sour and spicy. Visited MCK on a Saturday night. My experience started with a wonderful valet service. The parking attendants were kind and welcomed me, gave me their name and explained the process for retrieving my car. Walking into the restaurant I was blown away by the elegant high scale ambiance. The dining area was intimate and nicely lit. Upon sitting, our servers immediately greeted my party and handed out warm hand towels. They explained the menu briefly. I will say that throughout my visit, I was checked on by my server, a manager, the bar manager multiple times. It was not overwhelming, and each of them genuinely wanted to make sure I had the best experience. As far as drinks I ordered the French 72, French 75, Thyme 4 That, and the I Dew. The French 72 and French 75 were perfectly made and were perfectly balanced. The Thyme 4 That was light and refreshing, and the I Dew was dark and lightly sweet - not overwhelming. As this is a tapas restaurant, I ordered many items and was blown away by each and every dish. The soup of the day was a deliciously silky potato leek soup. This needs to become a staple menu item! Next I ordered the Tomato Brushetta, Watermelon Salad, Calamari, Stir Fry Mushroom, Thai Curry Mussels, Papas Bravas, Pulled Duck Confit Tacos and Charred Broccolini, and the Braised Short Rib. The Bruschetta was probably the best I have ever had, and the watermelon salad was sweet but complemented nice by the feta and lime vinegrette. The Calamari was perfectly crispy and the jalapeño aioli (which also comes with the papas bravas) was perfectly sweet and spicy. As someone who does not really like mushrooms, I was nervous, but they were perfectly sautéed with a great flavor profile. The mussels were nice and tender, and on the spicier side. The papas Bravas were soft and fluffy on the inside. The Duck Tacos were great, perfect portions, and nicely cooked. The Broccolini was expertly prepared and the Short Rib was tendered - and the mushroom risotto was to die for! For dessert our servers surprised my friend with a beautiful banana cake with fresh berries! If you cannot tell by this review, the food is beyond delicious.
