Just a normal evening date night with my husband. They sat us at the exact table we had the first time we were there in the patio area. Sorry, future Terra Terroir patrons, that table is ours now. We'll let you use it when we're not there. ;-) Our server was very pleasant. Sorry didn't catch her name. Our dinner included the Oysters and Okra appetizer. Proof you can fry anything and make it good. But the mustard dip/sauce that came with it was excellent (I say this as a non-mustard person). My husband's entree was the scallops. He enjoyed them. I had the KC strip steak with smashed yukon potatoes and forest mushrooms with a sauce and broccolini. I was not a fan of the broccolini (a bit bitter), but the flavors /seasoning of the rest of the meal made up for it. I had a citrus and a hibiscus mocktail. Not bad, but probably would just get a Coke next time. I cannot say enough about the fresh bread and butter. Heavenly. But why only 3 slices for two people? I wish they would expand their mocktail offerings, but other than that, I'm glad we picked this place for our random Wednesday date night. read more

No-go for us. While Terra Terroir carries a fine-dining price point, the quality of food, service, and atmosphere fell well short of expectations. Some describe this place as charming, but we felt the opposite; the interiors seem tired and could use some polish and updates, and most table florals were wilted. The garden area has potential, but the mix of faux plants, dated light fixtures, and inexpensive tables gives it a less refined vibe. Menu-wise, prices don't align with plating, flavor, or overall experience. Even the wine list leans heavily toward entry-level bottles rather than thoughtful pairings. On the positive side, the host greeted us warmly, and we were seated right away (only two other tables were occupied on a Thurs @ 6p). Unfortunately, service lagged after that. Our server was pleasant but offered little guidance when asked about menu highlights ("everything" was the answer), water refills were sparse, and empty plates lingered well into the next course until we finally stacked them ourselves. Food notes: * Scallop & corn fritters - 6/10 ($18). Moist and flavorful but over-fried; plating felt amateur for the price, and the sauce was thick and dull. Honestly, LaGarde & Confab down the street both do significantly better fritters for less ($11), with a better vibe * Jumbo crab cake - 6/10 ($21). Nice flavor, but again, not worth the price. (Even Chops Lobster Bar charges just a few dollars more for a far superior experience.) The jicama slaw was fresh but overly soaked in sugar water * Burger - 9/10. The highlight of the night! * Salmon - 4/10. Overcooked, overly salty, served on plain couscous with the saltiest green beans I've ever had, all topped with a syrupy blueberry sauce. * Grapefruit & pomegranate salad - 6/10. Overdressed, with too much sweetness from the pomegranate-honey vinaigrette; the grapefruit tasted canned. Grilled shrimp were cooked nicely. We have been to Terra Terroir enough times for me to give a solid review. It is in a little bit of an odd location in Brookhaven Plaza and from the front you wouldn't know the delightful space inside. Love the ambiance and all the plants. Drinks are good with a decent wine selection. Food is excellent but not outstanding, but a lot of options. Ordered a filet the last time we went that was a special. It was surprisingly good if a little undercooked for medium. Crab cake was very good. The service is a little sketchy sometimes. Last time my salad came before our drinks when we ordered drinks 15 minutes before ordering entrees and salad. This is not first time service has been a little off. Not bad it just seems a little uncoordinated. read more

What a pleasant surprise to find this place! I love the plants! You must sit in the back. I've passed this place a thousand times and would have never expected a greenhouse in the back. We split the spinach and feta salad and it was very good, still a good portion when split. I had the short ravioli in vodka sauce- sooo yummy! But I was still hungry after. My guest had the slow braised duroc pork shank. It was a very large portion with polenta and Brussels. Service was attentive and accommodating to celiac/gluten free. read more

My family and I enjoyed a birthday dinner at Terra Terroir. They are located in an unassuming shopping plaza with plenty of free parking. We had made a reservation on open table to secure a seat on the patio. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the host and shown to our table. The smells from the open kitchen filled the air and our stomachs were happily growling. We let our server know we were celebrating a couple of birthdays and she let us know that Mondays are half price wine bottles $50 or less. She made a great recommendation and brought our bottle to the table. The patio was so warm and cozy with fire places roaring, decorated heat lamps, flowers on all the tables and growing plants and a water feature. We ordered the Terra burger and lamb chops and it was all really good. We needed to go boxes because the portions were so big. Finally, we shared the flourless chocolate cake topped with berries for dessert. It was a lovely way to celebrate our birthday. read more

The food is good, it always has been. This a really good neighborhood type restaurant. I've been here quite a few times because it's very close to me. The burger is a big selling point for me because a burger is fire! But just what everything I've had here has been solid. It's an odd place because there's an inside. It's all inside but the inside, what part of it is based on the outside. It's based off of a whole treehouse kind of feel. You have the trees in the nature on the patio but the patios totally enclosed but it gives you the allure that it's on the outside which is really cool I love the place and everybody I go see there is always super friendly. They recently done some remodeling so they have a bar right in front, and actually spoke to the bartenders, and they are super awesome. We even got a couple of free drinks to taste so we gave honest opinions and they had good conversation to go along with that to how to make it better for us as far as preparing drinks. Which sometimes you just get what you get when you go to the bar, but they actually cared about what we are going for as far as taste goes. I appreciated that. I'm going to keep going to this spot, it's super close to me and I've never had a bad experience. read more

I came here for dinner and it was a pleasant surprise. This place has a very nice decor. It feels like Italy. The building has three sections: main inside, bar, and outside patio. The main inside has plenty of booths and tables. The bar is at the entrance. The outside patio has a cover for the weather. The bar is inside and nice with limited seating. The staff is friendly but the place was packed and slowed down service a bit. I ordered the slow roasted pork shank, sake martini, Rye redemption, and dessert pizza. The cocktails tasted great. The Rye Redemption is pretty much a Manhattan with a splash of bitters. The sake martini has a Japanese fruit puree in it which makes it sweet and balanced. The pork shank comes with fried Brussel sprouts and grits. The Brussel sprouts and grits are amazing and made this dish worth it. The pork shank was a little tougher than I expected and it was a low temperature. The dessert pizza or apple pizza is a fried tortilla with cinnamon sugar as a base. Then it is piled on with cinnamon apples, blue berries, crumbles, and mint leaves. The dish came cold but they took it back and warmed it up. They also put a bit of vanilla ice cream on top. My wife and I came for a quick drink and we ended up staying for over 2 hours. This place is a hidden gem. It's tucked away in a strip mall and doesn't look like much but once you go inside the atmosphere is great. I highly recommend sitting on the back patio. The cocktails were great and so were the appetizers we ordered. The service was also very good and friendly. I have lived in Brookhaven for just over 10 years, and I have heard of Terra Terroir, but for some reason I never made an effort to go there. My wife suggested that we go there to celebrate her birthday , so I made the reservation. My mother was in town so she came along. Terra is located in a strip mall on Peachtree along with a Planet Fitness and a Total Wine. Kind of an odd location for a nice restaurant, but all good. Parking was plentiful and easy. We arrived on time for our 7:15p reservation. We had to wait a few minutes, but not more than 5. Perfectly acceptable. We were seated in the back terrace area. The front of the restaurant is the bar area, but in the back is a very cool terrace. It's meant to feel like you are outside of a Mediterranean cafe. Very solid execution. Really cool atmosphere. Unfortunately, that is where the good for me ends. The menu has a vast array of choices and everything is well described. Between the apps and the main I had a feeling I was going to have a tough time deciding. But since it was my wife's birthday, she got to pick whatever apps she wanted. She chose the Rice Crispy Tuna and the Lamb Lollipop. The Tuna was a unique but solid treat. It could have been served with more Ponzu. We would have asked for more, but our server never came by to check. The lamb was okay at best. A little tough and nothing special flavor wise. At this point I am feeling kind of weary about the whole thing. Overall the service had been pretty slow. Once we ordered the apps, they came out pretty quickly. But other than that the service was extremely slow all night. A total of 2 hours and 15 minutes. While we were in no rush and I understand it's a finer dining experience, it isn't that "fine." I know it is also supposed to be a European style place, but come on. Since I was already feeling hesitant, I decided to minimize my financial damage and order the burger. It is supposed to be one of their signature items. I ordered it medium rare and it came out medium well. Again, nobody bothered to ask if it was okay. The truffle parm fries were plain horrible. Soggy, greasy, and tiny cuts with barely any parm (also served with ketchup versus aioli). The burger itself had little flavor and was grossly over powered by the smokiness of the cheese and the bacon. The bun fell apart since it was somewhat stale. I would have preferred a Quarter Pounder from the Mc Donald's in the parking lot. Not exaggerating! My mom ordered Lamb Lollipops and Fried Feta from the appetizer section as her meal. She liked both. I took a bite of the feta and I found it absolutely disgusting. I like feta normally but something about this feta and whatever they put on top was extremely pungent. But my mom liked it so I will write that off to personal taste. I've had fried feta that I liked. My wife actually really liked the Black Cod special that she ordered, so that is why this is two stars not one. It took a very long time for our server to come clear our plates and for us to request dessert menus. We let him know it was my wife's birthday. She ordered the crème brûlée. This also took a very good while to come out. He did bring it with a candle. The presentation was nice. Both my wife and I took one bite of it and stopped. The top was not warm and the custard was way way too cold and dense. It's like it had been in the freezer. Just bad. We would have asked for it to be taken off the bill, had anyone asked. We waited a while for our server to come by so we could request the check. Finally someone that seemed like a manager as he was walking past asked if we were okay. My wife said "No.". So he stopped walking and we asked for our check. The check came fairly soon after that. I was generous and tipped 15% because I am a nice person and am giving the guy the benefit of the doubt that the place was understaffed or he just had an off night. So $200 plus $30 for the whole meal which isn't bad if the food is really good. But it wasn't. In fact, other than my wife's special, it wasn't even close. There seem to be some recent reviews that are also in line with my experience so it isn't a one off. That said, there are many very positive reviews. Maybe we just were on a bad night. Or maybe people are so impressed with the cool atmosphere tucked into a strip mall that they are blinded by that and don't realize the food and service pretty much stinks. I do not know and I don't intend to find out. read more

Realllly good food. Nice ambience too. I had the salmon with red curry broth over basmati rice, black lentils, mushrooms and bok choy. It all came together fantastically. My cocktail was the banana split old fashioned. Quite tasty, but the dusting of crumbs on top was weird texturally. I would've kept those off. Dessert was crème brûlée with salted caramel. Very good paired with a glass of their dessert sherry - flavors of raisin, molasses, toffee and berries. Service was very good. Our waitress was attentive and engaging. We will be back. read more

Although the indoor patio vibes were nice, the service was very bad. As soon as we walked in for our reservation, we had to wait for about 10 minutes because not a single server or check-in person was even batting an eye in our direction. We had to say "hello?" and even then, the check-in person left and did not come back. At the table, our server was extremely uninterested and did not even greet us, just started pouring water and asking if we wanted to order anything. All in all, the service was so bad, we felt very "off" and left the restaurant to go elsewhere and did not even try the food. I have never experienced this in my life. A botched experience for a once in a lifetime event! I was really looking forward to hosting my daughter's college graduation dinner at a special venue with great food and ambiance. I was recommended this place and looking at the pictures and menu, it seemed perfect! The meeting planner, Helena, was very knowledgeable and helpful with pulling the details together to make the day special. From helping pick out the menu, to little things like the special menu printed during congratulations and specialty drink she'd have the bartender make with her school colors. I was excited! I arrived 20 min before the reservation to speak to the bartender about the wines and specialty drink and went to the event location. It looked great, but was chilly. They had a huge fireplace and several wall heaters to keep the area warm and cozy for guests, but that was the biggest problem. The fireplace kept going out and it resulting in a freezing location that had my guests shivering. I kept hearing "This has never happened before" but it didn't help the situation and fact that it was so cold with no other heaters to bring to help. There was also a hole in the floor where I guess something was removed, however it was the only way to get to the table for guests. As a result, several people (including me) kept tripping on the nails sticking up and almost falling on the brick floor. Not good! It took forever for my guests to be able to order from the selected menu, because apparently they never printed it and then couldn't get their printer to work to actually get it printed out. So we never got them and our phenomenal waiter, Malik, had to yell out the menu to the guests to get the food flowing. This wasn't until around 7:30 and the reservation started 6pm. On a Friday night, my guests were quite hungry. Food: The appetizers tasted great but the presentation of the Brussels Sprouts were horrible. I was brought out a huge plate of burnt looking food. Not edible looking at all. Understanding maple glaze can get charred is one thing, but bringing it out looking like a plate of burnt food is not appealing. I had to convince my guests to try it, and those who did like it enjoyed the taste, but it was being wasted. The Caesar salad presentation and taste was incredible! It was unique and actually the only pic I remembered to take of the food (see attached). The salmon entree was delicious as well as the sides, however the roasted chicken came out pale and apparently not fully cooked (several guests revealed the next day). Nothing that was described with that meal. The bread pudding was dry and not tasty at all, but the crème brûlée was very tasty. In the end: After everything, my daughter's father had to go back and forth with them to accommodate us in some way for all of the inconveniences and inconsistencies with our reservation. This was NOT a cheap event, and I would have really expected more from such a place that came highly referred. After everything, I had to go in and help them find my card info to make the final charge. The bartender had a pile of receipts and apparently none of them were mine. Of course that made me nervous that my card number is somewhere not secured. Smh. The night was not entirely ruined because of the love and family we had present, but it definitely was not up to par as I'd expected. The bottom line is the restaurant seemed ill-prepared for us to be there which resulted in lots of issues. The best part about my entire experience was working with the event planner, Helena, and the incredible service provided by our waiter, Malik! Thank you! read more

Super cute hidden restaurant in Brookhaven that's worth a visit! We came with a party of 6 and sat in their hidden garden in the back. It's absolutely BEAUTIFUL and even in the cold, the plants and built in heat lamps kept the garden nice and warm all night. Our waitress was attentive and the staff was great at making sure we were comfortable. I ordered the prime rib special for the night that came with creamed spinach, mushrooms, and asparagus. I thought the steak was a little too chewy, but I liked the sides, the sauce it was cooked in, and the burger and fries that others at the table ordered. For dessert, I had their special honey blueberry marscapone ice cream and WOW this was probably one of the best ice creams I've ever had! I absolutely loved the flavor and although I was a bit on the fence dropping down the rating for the steak, the ice cream solidified the four stars! I don't think I'll get a special when I come back again, but I definitely recommend the burger for first timers! read more

The menu is diverse and affordable and, with the nice weather, we were able to sit on the enclosed patio which has heaters and fans to ensure comfort. Friday 7pm reservations. I'd read about this place for awhile and it was on our list for "next time we have a nice dinner" and boy were we NOT disappointed. I love the unassuming storefront, and we were seated immediately in the [really freaking awesome!] back patio area, per our request. Sydney was our server and Bill visited us a few times. The menu is more extensive than I expected for this level of dining and they had something that my husband just jumped at - veal marrow. We had a couple of appetizers, including veal marrow and feta, and then had the duck and the pork shank. Everything was delivered perfectly and promptly - we were very impressed. I had a glass off of the EXTENSIVE wine list (and almost all of them offered in glasses!) and some local tap beer, all reasonably priced. Throughout the meal Sydney was attentive but not overbearing, and Bill came to chat a couple times. I couldn't turn down trying a dessert, we opted for the orange spongecake and raspperries with chantilly cream. It was a bit pricy, but the portions are good and we were more than happy to pay it to feel so welcome, cared for, and we truly enjoyed the atmosphere. They play great music! It's fun, creative, classy, but not fussy or snooty. There is nothing better than waiting to enjoy a special dinner and every aspect delivered. I've passed this place a few times but never tried it. Finally came on a random night out and really enjoyed it. On the outside it looks simple but on the inside, the decor is gorgeous. We just had drinks and didn't try any food other than bread but the bread and wine was really good. We also enjoyed mingling with the other patrons. I picked this restaurant for my mother day brunch I really enjoyed it the patio is very nice with all the plants and waterfall feature. It set the mood. Ariana provided excellent service and tended to all our needs. The food was delicious but lunch menu had limited entree just sandwiches, salads and burgers. I had the devil egg as an appetizer they were tasty especially with the bacon added. I was introduced to Terra terroir by a real estate agent who called it "the best kept secret in brookhaven." I completely see why. It is so unassuming from the front, but the space is super deep and it feels like you stumble across a secret magic garden after you enter. The service was perfect, plenty of free parking, the food was incredible (the burger and salmon curry dinners were out of this world), and the atmosphere was incredible unique. I took my aunt from out of town and she's raving about this dinner. Will definitely return. This is going to be one of the new spots I take visiting guests to. Good, not great. We ordered the starter that had fresh fish and slaw (don't remember the name) but it wasn't super flavorful and the Brussels. Brussels we're pretty good. I got the bison which was very nice but wish there were more of the sides that came with it. They served it with3 small purple potatoes and three pieces of asparagus.my boyfriend got scallops which he enjoyed but the portion was small. Don't come here super hungry!
