I'm so glad I found this hole in the wall! The food was amazing, portions were huge, best value! We ordered the samosa chaat and chicken tikka masala, both were delicious, we're def going back!

Our family loves the food from Five Spice! Not only does the pricing match the rest of the area, the portions are great and everything is made from scratch! Do not be surprised if you order a chicken dish and the chef/owner pulls out an entire chicken to butcher freshly! Cooking this way takes time, so order ahead, but it is very worth it! The chef/owner and his family are so very friendly and happy to tall to you and accommodate requests if they can. We look forward to coming here again and again!

I stumbled upon Five Spice for lunch while waiting for my car to be ready at the car wash across the street.

Executive chef Ashish Tiwari demonstrates his culinary creativity with sumptuous ghee-roasted lamb chops which are a must-order from the appetizers. Another standout was the eclectic vegetarian platter featuring delicious pesto paneer tikka and crispy Thai lotus root chips that taste like savory jalebis. The main course that we ordered was not as appealing as the appetizers. The Jaipuri malai kofta tomato curry was poured tableside by the attentive staff and went well with the freshly baked garlic naan but the kofta itself was not memorable. The serrano and lemongrass mocktail tasted like a spicy margarita and was well crafted. The textures of gulab had a stunning presentation but only the small scoop of gulab jamun ice cream was a standout as the rest of the components were mostly for show. It is quite expensive but worth going to once for a special occasion.

The food came out cold, including the naans, which should never happen. We returned all the dishes and the naans to be warmed up! Every main dish was mostly gravy! Very little main item! As an example , the goat curry looked generous but had just 4 small, bony pieces for $32 -- that's $8 a piece with barely any meat to eat on them. About 80% oily gravy and only 20% goat meat I would guess! Our "spinach jalapeno paneer curry" was mostly palak with some jalapeño mashed in and very few pieces of paneer! Then there's the $44 vegetarian appetizer platter - an exorbitant price for just 8 pieces total, no chutney included. Beautiful plating, but the portions and the value just aren't there. Be prepared for a second dinner after eating there! Wouldn't ever go back to this restaurant!

The food was absolutely amazing, with flavors that were perfectly on point in every dish we tried. They also accommodate jain food upon special request. Their homemade paneer is a true standout and something we would definitely return for. Portion sizes were decent, making it ideal for a relaxed sit-down dinner with family. Prices are slightly on the higher side, and you might experience a bit of a wait once the order is placed, but the taste and ambiance make it well worth it. Overall, a wonderful dining experience and a great place for a memorable family night out.

My only issue was the dim red lighting, which made it difficult to appreciate the vibrant colors of the dishes. Yes, it's on the pricier side, but the generous portions help justify the cost. The butter chicken was great and well-executed. The malai kofta, however, really needed naan to shine - it didn't quite hold up on its own. As for the drinks,, let's just say they don't skimp on the pour. ;) It's more of a 3.5-star experience. But since I have to round, I'm giving it 4 stars because of the service staff.
