A little more professionalism, decorum, and consideration for participants would go a long way toward improving the experience. If you organize an event, it should primarily be for the enjoyment of the guests, not for yourself.

Every bite felt like it had been assembled during a minor labor dispute. Then came the revelation that neither entrée included rice, it was an add on. This struck me as somewhat unsettling. Serving Indian curries without rice feels like giving someone a violin without strings. Yes, technically the object exists, but now everybody is sad and confused. The naan also didn't rescue the evening. It emerged from it's foil cocoon gummy and tired, like it had already lived a long and difficult life before reaching our doorstep. The tragedy here is geographic. Lawrenceville and the surrounding area are overflowing with excellent Indian restaurants. Places where the spices sing hymns and the bread seems blessed by small and benevolent gods.
