Hot pink shellac in color 502? if I remember, correct me if I'm wrong

Nancy did my pedi. Lisa did my nails. Both did such excellent jobs, great service, such beyond amazing patience & hospitality. A friend from work got her nails done here and i loved them so much and she referred me to this place! I showed Lisa what I wanted i from a pic on Pinterest and talked to her about it and she's completely corresponded with me and got what I wanted on spot! so this is my first time & I will be coming back, officially found my nail lady for being new to this side of town! To mention the inside is neat for my first time being here. I felt very comfortable 100% & the quality was definitely worth the quantity!

So this is not my usual place but I didn't feel like waiting an hour and fifteen minutes to get my nails done. I decide to stop here because it was right across the street. I was taken right away and asked to choose color and since I needed the same nail polish for my toes he asked me to come with him to the pedicure chair. Upon sitting back down I noticed him take his machine out to sort of remove the nail polish like that but I told him no because my nails are thin. He was very understanding and right away decided to wrap my nails so the polish came off by itself but I was concerned that he was not to clean, because as he was removing the foil from my fingers he was just throwing them to the side. He started on my nails and it just got worse he literally had a mess all over with powder. As I looked up at him I noticed her had pink powder on his face and hair. I wish I could have taken a picture but I was embarrassed for him. My nails came out perfect but my hands were as messy as the desk he was working on. My hand was pink and not even soap removed it. Between my nails and toes it was $50.00. I'll have to be desperate to come back.

Still so in love with this place!

Update: Unfortunately the quality has gone down and it's honestly very sad. My most recent set was just on a whim and i decided to go after work as a pick me up. The man that did my nails was very rough, from pulling on my arms the entire time to drilling my nails down rather hard. The application is sloppy, the acrylic is visibly uneven and my nails are very crooked, even the polish that someone else applied is uneven and doesn't cover all of my nails. I thought I'd go back and ask to have them fixed, but it's just not worth the trouble. I feel like i wasted my time and money the last few sets I've gotten done. After "3 chances" I'm better off finding a new nail salon. I've been coming to 5th ave for roughly 4 years now and EVERY TIME i leave happy, it never fails! At this point i feel like i see someone different every visit, but i would gladly recommend every single nail tech here. My most recent set is one of my favorites, so simple in color and shape but let me tell you, THEYRE PERFECT. The shape, the clean up, every little detail is on point. I'll admit, I've gone to one or two other nail shops over the years just due to convenience, but no other place keeps me coming back like 5th ave, I'll definitely be a client here for as long as poss

I've been here 3 times and each time I have been more impressed. I love this place! The prices are reasonable, the service is AMAZING, and the atmosphere is wonderful. A young guy named Tai did my nails this time and he was very understanding, attentive, and kept asking if they were what I wanted. He was also very helpful in explaining different options. I'm so happy! I will be back for a fourth time Thank you!!!

I have a client who is a regular at the salon and her nails are always beautiful. I decided to drive across town to visit them and I must say I was not disappointed. I was serviced by a young lady named Chi. (I hope I have her name right) She was meticulous and clean in her work. I finally found someone who doesn't add a thick powder coat to my natural nails! This is definitely a beginning to long lasting relationship.

I've been to this nail salon before nothing fancy but they get the job done. For some reason I choose to google them once I got home. Less than 2 years ago they were listed as one San Antonio's salons that didn't pass inspection. That's a big concern for me. I will look elsewhere for a nail salon.

This place was just nice enough for a fourth star. I have just moved here from DC and badly wanted a spa pedicure that would make me feel better. I also wanted a place near my new house so I wouldn't risk getting lost. 5th Avenue Nails looks exactly on the outside as I expected it to on the inside. Very run of the mill. Pros: 1) The Price! Back east I can expect to pay $40-60 for a "Spa Pedicure" that includes basic pedicure activities, a mask & hot towels. The pedicure menu here range from $25 to $40 for the general pedi things and $50 for an "Organic Spa pedicure" - so of course that's what I asked for. 2) The Activities! This pedicure had more steps to it than IKEA furniture instructions. There was: the expected attack on my horribly neglected toenails, the scouring of my roughness with two scrape-y things, then a nice scrub with my personally chosen organic scrub (which smelled like lavender babies), then the HOT STONE MASSAGE (drools), followed by dipping my feet in individual baggies of paraffin wax then wrapping my calves in hot towels. After about four minutes of cooing like a dove my nail tech came back & unwrapped me from my sweet cocoon & promptly painted my nails. 3) The Feels! I cannot describe how surprised I was to receive not one, not even two but three massages throughout my pedicure. That's a massage after she tackled my nails and applied scrub, a hot stone massage after she cleared that away and a third with lotion after my paraffin dip & towels. I felt so relaxed and well tended to that I was sitting there reading for about ten minutes before she reminded me I was finished & could walk - unless I wanted to keep relaxing (Embarrassing!) 4) You can tip on a credit card! For what I would have paid easily $70 for back East, I owed $50 and was able to easily tip another $10 on my receipt. This is a nightmare other places & many have signs specifically reminding you to use cash. I can't remember all the things! The only cons I have are: The technicians speak incredibly rough English, to a point where two of them worked together to answer a lady across from me & even then I tried to help in translation. Also, they were talking loudly among themselves in their native language (Vietnamese is soundly like) so much so that I could not totally veg out. ...But I forgave her after the second rub down.

I've been looking in this area for a good nail salon and after a couple of tries I have found it! I have been looking for sparkly colors specifically with the chunky looking glitter like the one in my pictures but this is the first place in this area i have found that has them! They have a huge selection of different colors and the service is great! I went right when it opened and there was already someone getting there nails done but i still didn't have to wait and my nails look so good! Great prices too I only paid $45 for a full set of solar nails with the coffin shape

    Megan M.

Jina!! I love my coffin-shaped, matte pink acrylic nails! She did such a great job, knew exactly how I wanted them, and did them super quick! I found my nail lady at last! Love love love them!

This place is the absolute best!!! They have the absolute BEST customer service and I have never once been disappointed with my nails, they are all so talented. They temperature check, and make you wash your hands when you enter and distance you from others. I will be loyal to this place forever they. are. awesome. and affordable

    Red Shellac Manicure

THANK YOU TOM!!! I came here looking for a Red Shellac Manicure and it's exactly what I got. I recommend Tom!! He took his time, was very detailed and was super patient when it came to me trying to find the perfect shade of red. I left feeling super happy, satisfied, and in love with my nails!!! Everyone was friendly and had great service!!

I'm only not giving this place 5 stars because some of the nail techs there aren't good, but most of them are great! I would recommend finding the one you like and getting an appointment with them. I took a chance on a walk-in here one time & I the girl hurt me so bad. My cuticles were all cut up. However, the other times I've been I always get an appointment and my nails always come out great!

While this program is more affordable than other schools in the area, it is a classic case of "you get what you pay for." I have wasted approximately $8,000 out of pocket and am currently left without a license, without my completed hours, and without the UV class I paid for. Unprofessional Environment & Poor Communication The atmosphere was consistently unwelcoming. The instructor was frequently abrasive and rude, creating a dismissive environment rather than a constructive one. Communication eventually broke down so completely that I had to resort to documenting everything via text. Even more concerning was the feedback from my models; every person I brought in mentioned how uncomfortable they felt in the building. They were so put off by the energy that they refused to come back for fills, which severely hindered my ability to build a portfolio. Scheduling Chaos & Lack of Support The lack of stability made it nearly impossible to succeed. * Constant Changes: Two weeks into the program, the instructor changed the schedule to accommodate a new job she had taken. Class was randomly canceled for a week at a time, making it impossible to maintain a consistent fill schedule for models. * Lack of Compassion: During my time here (October to March), I navigated significant personal hardships, including medical issues and the loss of my dog. Instead of support, I was met with more difficulty. * Equipment & Logistics: Toward the end, the instructor had me do my remaining fills at home. During this time, my car broke down. Despite living 45 minutes from town and having to scramble for transportation and a workspace, I remained committed to the deadline. The "Ghosting" & Technical Failures I was given a deadline of Monday to submit my final work. I attempted to turn everything in on Sunday, but the school's portal was down. I sent time-stamped proof of the portal error immediately. Despite my efforts to resolve this, the instructor has since ghosted me. It has been several days with no response to multiple texts. My hours have not been submitted to the state, and I have received no information regarding the additional UV class I paid for. Content Over Quality It became clear that the instructor is more interested in creating social media content to make the school look successful than actually teaching. She will gladly use students for her own content but will not use her platform to help students find models when they are struggling to finish the program due to her own inconsistent scheduling. Final Verdict: Save your money and your peace of mind. Invest in a school like Lash Habit or Lash Doctor. The "savings" here cost me my professional confidence, my time, and thousands of dollars. I have officially contacted the Better Business Bureau and a lawyer to resolve this. STAY AWAY.

I had to wait about 15 minutes which I didn't think was bad since they had a constant flow of customers. I did a brow map, thread, and tint. I requested to keep as much of my brow thickness as possible and that I wanted the tint to look natural because I wasn't sure how dark they usually go at this location. My brows turned out even and to the thickness I would prefer. The woman who did them kept checking with me every step to make sure I was satisfied. I will say that the tint looked like I had not even had any so I would not say natural again and maybe say lighter tint or something because the tint was a waste. Overall I was satisfied with the service. I've never had threading done before and I did notice some tiny scabbing spots a few days later but no one else would be able to tell. The only thing I really didn't like was the woman did not use gloves. Because she was touching my face and occasionally brushed against my lip I really wished she was wearing them during the service. Hopefully she cleaned her hands in between clients. The vibe of the salon is airy, minimalist, and upbeat with nice r&b playing.
