Discussed work to be done (parts and labor), depending on parts available. Set up appointment for later that week. Was going to call with quote for part. Never called or returned calls. Showed up at scheduled appointment time. Owner did not get part and claimed appointment was not set. Then realized he was wrong when he reviewed his notes. He promised to get part and do work that day. Work was completed as promised. Car passed inspection. Miscommunication was unfortunate, but quality work done. If you use this place, be sure you have all arrangements in writing and signed off.

So, Phil wasn't totally an idiot. Just a jerk. I had previously taken it to other places, and they gave me an estimate of $1,000 for everything. So for $1,500 I was like what is this guy drinking? Now this last guy gave me an estimate of $500 for 2-feet of the rocker panel on the left, not the whole thing, plus some for the little hole on the right. So out the door about $700. That experience was a nightmare as that shop did not communicate well, and when they did it was a series of false promises of when my truck would be ready that they did not deliver on. I knew I had made the correct decision after my initial meeting with Christina. As a former employee in the insurance industry, she knew the ins and outs of what insurance companies try to do to minimize their bottom line. I actually learned a lot from Christina through the process of repairing my wife's car. Throughout the process, not only was Christina communitive, but she acted like an advocate on our behalf. For instance, there were parts the insurance company wanted to be repaired, but Christina insisted they be replaced with new parts. She even got my insurance company to refund part of my deductible due to them delaying the repair.
