In compensation, he replaced a couple of other parts while he was under my car and I'm very well satisfied with that. Prices for transmission rebuilds (especially a 6-speed or above like mine) are pretty expensive everywhere, but Doug beat Aamco by $800. Dealership wanted to charge hundreds of dollars more for replacing a thing-a-m'jig, a that-a-m'jig, and another-m'jig where this place knowledgeably diagnosed my car's thing, that, and other-m'jig and didn't have to replace them all to find the problem. Don't look for warm fuzzies, but expect experience and honest work. (FYI - I personally think all mechanics are thieves but these people are lower on the criminal scale;)

They clearly explained the work needed..in my case a ck engine light was flashing on my daughters 2014 Nissan Pathfinder and while suspecting the catalytic converter they suggested a tuneup first hoping that would solve the problem w/o having to replace the converter. A week, 6 spark plugs, 6 ignition coils & $2200 later the ck engine light came back on (something they told me could happen) and I had to have the cat. converter replaced anyway... which I had done @ another shop closer to home that specializes in that type work. No doubt the plugs & coils needed replacing but I just thought $2200 for a tuneup was way too expensive...the garage that ultimately replaced the converter confirmed my thinking telling me I overpaid by about $500 for the tuneup. In summary if you're in a pinch like I was and can't shop around, Two Guys Garage can certainly be trusted to do quality and timely work... just be sure to bring your checkbook cause it's gonna cost ya.
