I reached out to my Insurance Roadside assistance who dispatched a tow service.... I was first given an ETA of about 2.5 hours. Talking to my insurer an hour later, she said she had talked to dispatch who said it was at least five hours! I asked: from when I made the request or now? She said "from now". Ok so a 10a call I'm looking at service @ about 6:37p!!! 6:30 came & went....I received a text that the ETA was now about 120 more minutes out. In their defense... it had been ridiculously cold all week....and they were still working on Friday calls. I rationalized as: super bummed having to miss a 90th birthday party!! However, I am in a home.... a warm home, not on the side of the road. I would be upset if I were and found out they rescued some warm house woman before me! 10.5 hours later, they hadn't arrived, so I canceled the call, it's too late to get my truck running and drive three hours home yet tonight. When I called to cancel and ask to be moved to Sunday's list, she said she couldn't do that. Defeated... I cancelled anyways.... I contacted my insurer first thing Sunday morning to begin the whole process again. I immediately after my request, my phone rang. It was the Craigs dispatcher saying she had me on the list for a jump from Saturday and just received a tow request, which was needed? I said the Saturday jump but I did a new request because I was told she wouldn't be putting me on Sunday's list. About an hour later Brandon called, he was outside. I went out to greet him and tell him what had been going on. I handed him the key fob he said "oh you have the key." I replied, no that's a jeep fob it's a dodge, that key doesn't work. I wasn't concerned when I bought the truck this summer because I've never needed the key. Now? I do and I don't Brandon couldn't get the door open so he called over his co-worker to assist w the locked door. They had a BP cuff looking thing to slide between the door & the frame to pump it up & separate. Unfortunately they said it was too cold, the airbags expanded. They would be leaving to help other motorists but I should call back in a few hours... once the sun has been shining on the truck a few hours and the temp has warmed a little, the day shift would be able to assist me. Thank you Brandon and Matt for attempting to get me running and out of town. I reached out later and didn't get the text that they were assisting me, when I called dispatch she said she had bid on the call as a four hour ETA so my insurer didn't opt for their service.

Two senior citizens over 70 years old stuck on a Sunday on the side of the road and asked for a ride to a hotel or a bus stop after we dropped the car off at the repair shop and we were told no per the boss!!!!!! Since it was midnight and I recently got screwed over by a different mechanic, I just asked Don's to take a look at it the next day. I made a bad assumption that with name recognition came quality and competence. Well, after three days and three hours at $90 an hour, Don's informed me they had no idea what was causing the problem and that I needed to have it towed somewhere else. So, two tows totaling close to $200 and $270 for "diagnostics" I paid Don's $465. I had Don's tow the car to the Tesla Auto Services on South Avenue. The very next day I got a phone call from the new mechanic telling me my battery was dead. That's it. A dead battery. $465 to Don's Towing and they didn't even have knowledge enough to determine I needed a new battery. Never would I ever take a vehicle to be fixed at Don's Towing again. Update: After a good discussion with the management of Don's Towing they made things right. I was refunded the majority of my bill which I felt was more than fair. The management was professional and courteous. I should have contacted them directly as opposed to writing a less than stellar review. This kind of professionalism when confronted with an unhappy customer is almost unheard of these days. Hats off to the handling and resolution of my complaint. Thank you, s Don's Towing.

A couple of years ago, I had my tires changed. They offer to do the wipers as well and I had them changed too. My wipers started hitting down on the edge of my hood towards the windshield. He hit so much when I used them that it started wearing the paint off! The only thing Discount Tire did was look at the wipers. Didn't offer anything else. How about what happened to my hood?! Couple years moving forward, I needed to get my tires changed again. Started with a puncture in my tire. One worker came out and used some scanning thing to check the tread on my tires. Even after it was taken to the shop, NO ONE told me how balled all of my tires were on the inside wall of my tires! Irritating! They were able to get me a certificate for it. I was taken care of my Chan. Pretty nice guy until I spoke with him on the phone when I mentioned the price of my tires. Long story short, he started throwing guilt my way as if I wasn't grateful. Needless to say that ticked me off. I was asking questions, not wanting to "free stuff." I don't tolerate anyone guilting me. It was basically over the fact that no one told me about the tread of my other tires and the Chan telling me that he would see what he could do after talking to his manager. Came back on the phone, and that's when the guilt trip happened. Told me "we already are offering the certs for a couple of your tires, and I offered you to have all of your tires changed at the shop." Then he said, "I think we are already being generous offering the certs, and I did mention to you that you could get all of your tires changed." I'm like yeah, but I'm also not someone that can whip out money left and right as I am a teacher and I don't get paid nowhere near as much as I should and I'm on a budget. Not gonna lie, that pissed me off. When I ordered my tires, someone told me specifically on the phone that they could have my tire overnighted from Rochester and they would call me when they arrived. The next day, most of the day had passed and no one called. I called them. Brett the store manager answered and I told him what was going on. He said," I'm sorry, I'm not sure who told you we could overnight tires, but we aren't able to do that.." I'm literally like...WTF in my head. Communication needs to be a priority. It's like I deal with someone different all of the time. I also felt like Chan passed me off to other people because after I told him I didn't appreciate him guilting me, he doesn't even acknowledge my presence when I step into the shop. Not a friendly hello, nothing. Might as well call me cellophane. After finally getting all of my tires changed several days later when my tires came in, I called back a couple of weeks later to get an alignment. Discount Tire doesn't do appointments and it's first come first serve which I hate! I work out of town and I work all day. It's hard for me to do a first come first serve cause they're always busy or about to close. They also told me it would be over 200+. I called Cordell's and they are able to do my alignment cheaper, like 100 bucks cheaper! Cordell's also offers a shuttle if you need it which is included! Andddddddd they take appointments!!!! Needless to say after all of this, I'm taking my business to Cordell's!! As I do realize people have different experiences, and could be positive, unfortunately mine with Discount Tire was not. They used to be pretty good with customer service, but with me lately they've fallen off. I will however leave this on a positive. The guy that changed my other 3 tires, he really nice. He was a shorter Asian guy, and that's the only way I can describe him. He was very nice and very professional. I appreciate his kindness!
