I was a big fan of the fried fish spot that used to be in this location, so I was interested in checking it out recently. I got the perch combo (comes with fries, sauce + a drink), and Nate got the wings special since it was a Tuesday (10 traditional wings for $8.90). The employee taking our order was super friendly and helpful. Our food took about 15 minutes to be prepared, which wasn't bad. I'd definitely order online ahead of time in the future. There is no dine in seating, takeout only. The perch was very good - fresh, not fishy, and lightly breaded and not overcooked. The fries were a little over fried, and I didn't love the house seasoning or the sauce that they came with (just personal preference). The wings were not my favorite (they were breaded and sauced, which made them a bit soggy), but I think the dry rub would be a good move next time. I stopped in for the soft opening. I got the whole wings, blue gill and okra. The blue gill was seasoned perfectly. The okra was fried to perfection. The wings had a great texture, the outside was crispy and the chicken was moist. My only comment is the wings could have been seasoned more. They were kinda bland. It's the soft opening. So after reading all of the comments raving about this place, I had to check it out first myself. Literally the best chicken I have ever had! First of all the service was excellent. Brian greeted his customers with a smile and positive attitude. He was busy, but took the time to ask questions and get our orders just right. I ordered three perch dinners all seasoned differently an one with onion rings. The sides were very tasty, fries were addictive, and the perch was just the perfect amount of breading and seasoning. My favorite is the lemon pepper seasoning, but Infinity and house blend were also good. Everything was hot and fresh, and I loved their coleslaw. I'm a total coleslaw snob. I frequent 616 kabob and was talking to the owner on my last visit. He said they just bought 616 batter mix. I said no kidding we just ate there! He asked how we liked it. I said it was great! I especially like the catfish and mushrooms! My husband is really picky about his fried chicken and he said it was good! We've been 3x times. The batter has a good flavor to it and they have several dry rubs you can shake on after you get your order. The house seasoning is really good.
