Great spot tucked away at 620 Jones St. We came for brunch and sat out on the garden patio. Great space amongst the urban surroundings. Our server was delightful and friendly. We started with a pitcher of Mimosa. As a group we shared multiple entrees. Our favorite had to be the Chicken & Waffles. The texture and flavor of the waffles was to die for; crisp outside, tender inside. One of the best I've had. The chicken strips were tasty, seasoned well. Next I had the Lump Crab Benedict. The hollandaise sauce was lemony and well balanced not too thick or thin. The egg was poached perfectly. It was served with crispy potato fries also cooked to perfection. Next I tried the breakfast pizza. The scrambled egg on top was fluffy. the cheese melted and was very yummy. Lastly, we had the biscuits and gravy, which was very flavorful. The biscuit, I think was a cornmeal and it was very good and moist. The gravy was well seasoned. My compliments to the chef for a well executed and delicious meal. The venue looked to be a great spot to host a party. Dj was playing music and there were a couple of bar areas inside. It's much bigger than it appears from the street. Cool vibe. Went with a big group for the Drag Brunch today. We had an amazing time and performers were stellar. It was a nearly perfect experience. First the drinks were delicious with a good assortment of options, I opted for the Amaro Spritzer. We ordered a bunch of plates for the table to share and I can say that each dish was great in terms of flavor. Table favorites were the French Toast and the Crab Benny. Two small areas for improvement, and or things to be aware of if you are planning to dine here during the brunch. 1) Once the show started it became almost the hunger games to get another round. We were there from 11:30 to 2:30 and I only had two Amaro Spritzes as a result. 2) Despite being a a full priced appetizer the chicken wings come with 3 wings on a plate. The show was great! I think the kitchen, bar, and wait staff were understaffed. It took over an hour to get the drinks we'd ordered and then they were wrong. We had been warned that the kitchen had a backlog, and it took an hour and a half to get our meals after we ordered. The wait staff was trying hard to keep up, but there just didn't seem to be enough of them. Grabbed dinner and drinks at 620 Jones with friends recently. The outdoor patio is beautifully designed with great lighting and greenery, honestly one of the nicest outdoor spaces I've seen. The Double Pepperoni Pizza was excellent perfectly crispy crust, generous toppings, just really solid. The Crispy Cauliflower was more forgettable, though the hot honey helped. The major issue? The Tenderloin location. I spotted a rat running through the patio during our meal, which pretty much killed the vibe. It's not the restaurant's fault, but it's hard to ignore. The food and ambiance are there, but the neighborhood is a real problem. I'd consider going back for takeout or indoor seating, but probably won't be returning to that patio. read more

We were in San Francisco for a friends birthday weekend on a Sunday. There were 13 of us so we made a reservation. We had read the service can be slow so we were mentally prepared. We were sat immediately with some stragglers joining a few minutes later. Our server did come to get our drink order pretty soon after we were sat and provided water. We ordered mimosas by the pitcher as there were so many of us. For some reason the drinks took forever to come out every time even though we were seated right outside of the bar. They may want to add another bar tender to keep up during peak brunch hours on the weekend. A friend and I ordered a pitcher of fries and well that took even longer but was very tasty once it was out, a little on the sweet side for me but I would order it again, out hit the spot on this warm and sunny day. The outdoor seating area is pretty large and nice, definitely a vibe. They took our food orders and everything came out correctly though we were disappointed that everything came out at crazily different times even though we'd all ordered together, like some entres came out 30 minutes later than others. I ordered the shrimp and grits which was really flavorful after mixing g in the miso butter. The shrimp were succulent and perfectly cooked though for the price point I think 5 shrimp would be more appropriate and they could double the amount of grits. It was basically an appetizer or tapa sized portion. I ended up ordering a second entree. The grits were more soupy than I'm used to, I feel grits are usually served light and fluffy when it comes to shrimp and grits but they were tasty. My second entree came out pretty quickly, it was biscuits and gravy so not very complicated. They were able to accommodate my request for a scrambled egg, but again for the price point 2 eggs doesn't seem like a big ask. The biscuits, wow, were they the star of the show! They were made with cream cheese and jalapeños and a slice of heaven. I will be dreaming of these biscuits for a very long time. The gravy was good, not great but it hit the spot. For the price point I think adding 2 sausage links or 2 slices of bacon would make it seem more of a value. The egg did come out perfectly scrambled. Most people liked their entree selections. A few more people had to order second entrees for themselves or to share to be full. My friend who ordered the crab cake Benedict was disappointed as the dish did not come with English muffins as a base, definitely a first and quite strange given our friend ordered a different Benedict and that came with English muffins. It didn't state this on the menu so she was confused and ended up having to order an English muffin on the side. Our friend's who ordered the breakfast burrito (2) were disappointed in both the size and amount of bacon in their burritos. One even asked the server if they had forgotten the meat. Again for the price point it might behoove them to double the amount of bacon or also add a second meat like sausage crumbles/chorizo/ham to bulk it up. Everyone else really liked their entrees. Now for the important parts the drag performance! The MC was amazing, so funny and absolutely fabulous at crowd interaction. Her performance and acrobatic abilities especially in high helmed boots was beyond impressive! The other 2 performers were wonderful as well. Every outfit was just fab! I'm hoping the excessive food pricing goes towards paying the performers lol! There was a gentleman walking around selling $1's which was so helpful, a much appreciate detail. He ended up running food and drinks too, very hard working guy. Our server was far from attentive, it was even hard to get her attention to flag her down and order additional items. In her defense I think they have too many tables per server and a slow bar. The table next to us seemed to not know where they were, a drag brunch lol! They were just kinda there and absorbed in their food but once they caught on (pretty sure they were foreign tourists that happened to wander in) they got into the action and started tipping g and dancing along to the show as well which was fun to watch. Stopped in for the drag brunch and was pleasantly surprised by the great food. The limited was small and limited but everything we had was full of flavor and very tasty. I had the smash burger and have to say the fried cheese skirt and sesame seed bun were superb. The fries were also unlike most French fries but also equally yum. Wife had the jalapeño biscuits with sausage gravy. If you are a fan of rosemary you will love this dish. She certainly did. The breakfast burrito my son had was also cooked perfectly and played perfectly. It too was served with a side of fries. The drag brunch itself was entertaining but felt being nestled in the corner the view was limited. Popped in for a drink and a bite to eat on a sunny day- we wanted to be outside drinking cocktails to make the most of the sunny day and 620 Jones was the answer- nice big open patio area with plenty of seats in the sun. It was a mid afternoon on a saturday and was pretty quiet, so got our pick of seating. Nice ambiance with music playing in the background and the service friendly, engaging in small talk and quick at serving food and drinks. Got a margarita pizza to share and it was actually really delicious- nice and light and crispy with a good cheese ratio, nice and melty ricotta on top. Drinks are pretty stellar also! Drag brunch is so fun here!!!! I can't stress that enough. The drinks are also incredible and reasonably priced especially for their punch bowls. The entertainment is so great it more than makes up for some minor delays in service that are likely caused by the non stop party that is the show they put on. The food is a little basic for a brunch spot and I wouldn't order the smoked salmon again but I suppose that's not why you go to a drag brunch. I am an out of towner who comes to San Francisco as often as possible, and this was my first time at the 620. And I can say it was incredible. The architecture of the entire place was absolutely stunning. They have bathrooms that remind me of the scenes in Harry Potter which was absolutely beautiful. Today we visited 620 Jones Restaurant. We arrived during happy hour and it did not disappoint. Great place! The ambiance is just right, open space rooftop like setting, with plenty of shade and a nice light breeze. The cocktails were good. Luci had the watermelon cosmo and I went with a yummy sangria. They were so good we had to have a second round. We ordered a Margherita pizza and a plate of papas bravas. They both hit the spot. The pizza had burrata cheese, I love cheese All kinds of cheese so it just felt great to me, the pizza dough was cooked right and it felt soft and well baked. The papas bravas are delicious! Seasoned potato bites. They are served with chimichurri sauce and smoked aioli sauce. The service was great as well! We were seated as soon as we arrived, and the server was very attentive to our needs. We trully enjoyed this experience so much that we stayed longer than expected. Great place to hang out with friends or to just chill with wife like I did. We ate and tried. A few dishes, drank yummy cocktails and enjoyed our conversation. We noticed that at 6pm a DJ walks in to his booth and start mixing as he stands behind the turning tables. I went here yesterday with 5 friends for the drag brunch, and while the performers were amazing and absolutely the highlight of the morning, my food and service were an absolute disaster. I ordered the smash burger, and what I was served was essentially raw in parts and inedible. My first bite seemed fine, but the second and third tasted off and when I tore it open, the patty was pink and undercooked in some spots, gray in others. Minutes later, I was so nauseous I had to leave the table to go throw up in the bathroom. While I was gone, my friends spoke to the server and explained what happened. Instead of showing concern, she got defensive and claimed she'd "ask the cook." When I came back, still visibly sick and shaken, she came right up in my face and asked if I wanted something else from the menu. I said no, and explained that I had literally just thrown up. Her response? A dismissive, "Well, I don't know what you want, that's how we cook our burgers here--do you want a club soda or something?" No apology. No accountability. Nothing but attitude. To make matters worse, one of my friends overheard her talking badly about us to other staff, accusing us of just trying to get a free burger. Really?? We had a big tab, tipped the queens generously during the show, and were fully prepared to pay for everything we ordered. The issue wasn't money--it was that I was served unsafe food and then treated horribly when I got sick. When it came time to pay, the server dragged her feet bringing the bill, then snatched my friend's card right out of his hand without saying a word. The receipt had a 20% automatic gratuity added (standard for large groups, but in this case totally undeserved), AND they even tacked on a charge for "bread and butter" that we never ordered or received. At that point, we were all so over it that we just paid and left. What should have been a fun Sunday brunch turned into a humiliating and upsetting experience. Between being served raw food, getting physically sick, and then being openly disrespected and gossiped about by the server, this was hands-down one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. The performers deserve all the love in the world, but the restaurant staff and management should be ashamed of how this was handled. They're always packed for their drag brunches so highly recommend reservations. The waitstaff were super friendly but hard to catch. We got two mimosa pitchers but they were inconsistent between each other (one seemed watered down compared to the other) and were around $50 for the two in total -- I wish the prices online were accurate because we didn't realize it would be so expensive. I got the pork belly benedict, which I found to be rather dry and flavorless, which was disappointing. My friends also were not fans of their orders (crab cake benedicts, the burger, etc.), so it wasn't just me. It also took ages for our food to come out because it was so busy. I liked the potatoes though! The drag brunch itself was very fun! It was Afrika's birthday, so there were a lot of fun celebration activities happening. We came because some of my friends had never been to any kind of drag show, and they had so much fun! If you only have big bills, they come around to break them into ones which is very nice. This was my first time at a drag brunch and I was super excited to go in completely blind not really knowing what to expect. Our reservation was at noon and the show was set to start at 1pm but it didn't start until around 1:15ish. Let's just say the queens were fabulously late which wasn't an issue, the only downside was unfortunately the weather was bad so we were freezing for a while waiting for the show. The show itself was so much fun and empowering to be a part of. Make sure you bring a lot of $1 bills as the queens will go around during the performances collecting the bills. If you don't have any cash, no worries they have an ATM and they even had a staff member going around with a bunch of singles to trade. Now the only downside which costs them a star was the food. I ordered the chicken and waffles which was supposed to be their most popular dish but it was just not good. The sauces they provided didn't complement the dish at all and the chicken was just dry and overly seasoned. The waffles didn't have much flavor at all either so overall the meal was just disappointing. I did hear other girls at my table not liking their food either but I didn't try anything else so I can't really comment on the other dishes. The frozes (frozen rose wine with vodka) are a hit but make sure you order the 620 Jones Punch Bowl. A combination of mango vodka and tropical juices. Had a reservation so was sat right away. Entertainment started on time. Was a lot of fun! Was pleasantly surprised by how amazing the food was. My husband and I shared confit wings, parfait, chicken and waffles and the charcuterie. We also got a mimosa pitcher with pineapple juice. The confit wings was packed with flavor and so delicious. I was wishing there was some sort of glaze on it, but that's just me. Flavor was on point though. The yogurt parfait was very sweet so me and hubby loved it. My friend and I were there tonight and tried to order drinks at the bar. We gave our drink order to the lady bartender, and waited 35 mins and she completely forgot about us. We watched her serve customer after customer. My friend tried to grab her attention to inform her that she had forgotten our drinks but she completely ignored her. The male bartender who stood in front of us for the entire 35 mins made eye contact before turning, skipping us, and asking the ladies who came after us for their order. I attended on St. Patrick's day for their Drag Brunch. It was phenomenal! So much fun and the food and drinks were great. Totally worth it! I looked online and found their number - when I called the mailbox was full. They also invite you to text them - so that's what I did and they communicated with me that way until I was ready to make my reservation. They have multiple brunch time seatings and my friends and I booked the 12:15 seating. I was thankful that they are t one of those places that makes you wait until your whole party arrives. There were only 4 of us so my friends ordered drinks as I was about 10 minutes late. They have such an amazing outdoor seating area. Mostly shaded with these huge umbrellas. There were small groups and big groups seated together and everyone had so much fun. Lots of people got into it. There was a cute Bachelorette party there too and people celebrating birthdays. One woman even got on a table and was dancing! So memorable and so fun! I didn't get any pictures of our food but the menu is really good! I got the citrus French toast with a side of bacon. My friends got the breakfast pizza and chicken and waffles and the breakfast burrito. Everything was on point! I was looking at other tables orders and the Benedict's looked delicious as well as the GIANT shareable (or not!) cocktails. Great for brunch! My group of 5 stopped by at 11:30 on a Sunday and were able to easily get a table for brunch. The outdoor area is beautiful. Large tables, high greenery, and very peaceful despite the area 620 is located in. Everything is outdoors and if it's sunny they'll put up the umbrellas on request. From reviews we thought they had bottomless mimosas, but they don't do that anymore! We got a couple pitchers to share instead and it was pretty much the same thing. Food selection is not too large, and is great for sharing. We got about half the menu to share and enjoyed every dish. We also didn't realize it was drag brunch, and had a wonderful surprise. This bar and restaurant is a bit hard to find from the street, but once you make it inside, the ambience is absolutely charming, filled with greenery and decorative lighting, almost like a jungle, multiple bars, and plenty of tables and seating in an outdoor rooftop setting (looking out on Geary Street). They offer blankets and have heat lamps to keep guests warm on cooler days/nights. And the workers here are quite friendly. I've been here before on a busy night and it can be a fun and lively atmosphere, especially during special events. During our recent visit on a Saturday night, it was surprisingly dead and empty around 10:30pm. But we didn't mind, that just meant more attention and no waiting. They don't serve food at this time, but I love their colorful cocktail specials, flavorwise, even if they are a bit weak on the alcohol. We tried Something Blue, Vusa Vodka Purple Jasmine Lemonade, Bees Knees, and Berried Treasure (my fave). Cool spot! read more

This review is specifically for the Sunday drag brunch. They have GF buns!!! So if you have a gluten sensitivity, you can modify the Eggs Benedict and the Jones Burger. The burger was good enough, but the papas bravas side that was included was DELICIOUS -- seasoned well and cooked to crispy perfection. The venue is just beautiful, with the spacious outdoor patio well-equipped with heat lamps and partially covered. I understand that the drag brunch is a busy time, but the service took longer than expected. Our server was nice though and trying their best. The drag performance was fun. I've been to a few drag shows in Palm Springs and Seattle, and this SF one was more chill (the sets were not as high energy and the outfit changes didn't have as many props)...but still a good time. The service was excellent from start to finish -- very attentive and thoughtful. When it started to rain, they immediately brought out an umbrella to keep us dry, which I really appreciated. We were seated in a corner, though, and I ended up facing the wall, which made me feel a bit excluded from the atmosphere. I personally prefer being able to look out at the crowd, so next time I'll request a different spot. I had assumed this was a rooftop bar, and when we asked, they explained that technically it is -- since it's the roof of the parking garage below. Good to know, but not quite what I pictured. It was a little quiet on a Wednesday night, so I definitely want to come back for Sunday brunch or when the DJ is there to experience the place with more energy. Okay, OKay, Drag Brunch on Sunday is always a good time and all, but 620 Jones is highly underrated for a date night. I came in for a date on a Tuesday, and had an amazing time. The bartenders were experimenting with new cocktail recipes and they let me and my date try a few of them. I recommend the Street Heat, it's like a spicy margarita. The food was excellent, like it is at brunch, I recommend the Brussel Sprouts Salad and the Papas Bravas (I'm vegetarian). The prices weren't bad either, typical SF prices. The patio more than makes up for it, it's a very instagramable space. Overall im excited to come back and not just for Brunch! read more

Fantastic drag show, FOOD was amazing, Great presentation, portion sizes, Entertainment was incredible etc. The only bad thing is the service was ridiculously slow. We sat at 12:15 for the 12.30pm brunch show. Ordered by 12:30, and while we received our initial drinks and food, we tried multiple times to waive down our server. We were short 3 place settings/napkins which we never got. And she didn't check on us until after over an hour. We tried to buy more drinks but couldn't get the servers attention. I went to the bar after an hour to buy drinks. She saw me at the bar and asked what I was ordering. Just 2 drinks, and she said she'd get them out right away and it took nearly another 20 minutes. I finally went to the bar and ordered them again and got them much quicker. She finally dropped off the other two way after I ordered from the bar. We requested water glasses and water twice and never received glasses, but luckily we had empty champagne glasses so we just used those as our water glasses. We wanted to buy more alcohol, but we just weren't happy for the service considering how expensive the meal was. GREAT Show!!!! Fantastic energy and we tipped the drag queens like crazy! We came here because we were on a roof top bar vibe and someone on IG said this spot was a roof top bar BUT IT IS NOT THE EMPLOYEE SAID ITS A PATIO BAR With that being said we still hung out for a bit Had a few drinks before moving on to another spot Venue is nicely decorated All employees are friendly and professional Prices are reasonable There are 3 full bars They carry 7 LEGUAS ( tequila) Parking is kinda hard to find Street parking only I would definitely come back here and try other items read more

We came for the drag brunch and had a great time. No shade to the performers. We were walk-ins and got sat immediately, albeit a bit off to the side. The food was pretty average. There's a lot of exciting sounding things on the menu, but the execution of everything we had was just okay. We were jazzed to try the pastry basket, particularly the earl gray and matcha scone--and while the flavor was there, the texture was unfortunately not. The patio is beautiful.
