If your looking for a quick breakfast along route 66 in Central New Mexico, this is a good spot to take a break. Overall service, environment food I'd give it a 4/5. We stopped in for dinner based on the glowing Yelp reviews, and they were absolutely right. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with genuine warmth and friendliness. The vibe was laid-back and local, with just a few other diners--it is Moriarty, after all--but the service was top-notch. Hubby was thrilled to see they serve all-day breakfast, so he went for the pancakes, and I ordered the combo fajitas (chicken and steak). While waiting, they brought out chips and salsa. The salsa was a bit too spicy for me, but no problem--they happily brought ranch dressing instead. Win! The food portions? HUGE. My fajitas were sizzling perfection--tender meat, just the right amount of peppers and onions, and all the fixings: guac, lettuce, cheese, salsa, tomatoes, and soft flour tortillas. So good. Five big ol' flavor booms. Hubby gave the pancakes two thumbs up--and he's picky about his pancakes, so that's saying something. Two hearty meals, drinks (yay for Diet Dr. Pepper!), friendly service, and all for around $45. Totally worth it. We'd go out of our way to eat here again on our return trip. The restaurant had loads of parking around it for cars and a reasonable sized lot next to it for trucks, buses and trailers. Our server managed the section of 6-8 tables well and refilled my sweet tea without request. We ordered a stuffed Sopapilla which was very interesting--like a superior version of enchiladas; The Duke Burger which was bursting with flavors; and a Green Hill Chilli Burger which I found fascinating. The fries were superbly golden brown and had a particularly crispy exterior! We were so thrilled with our lunches that we ordered a piece of pie from the case. In Moriarity NM for 2-day K-9 nosework event and this super convenient place to stay a couple nights Of course everybody has heard of Sierra Blanca Brewing. Probably the class of New Mexico craft beer. Brands like their Alien IPA are well known throughout the SW. I'm a big fan of their peanut butter porter. Of course the beer here is delish and fresh. Located just off I-40 in Moriarity about 45 minutes east of Albuquerque. Easy on off ... worth the stop. Big property that encompasses the brewery proper + a tasting room, merch sales and an amazing 1 acre'ish beer garden that has coverage from sun if it's too hot. I sat with pup back in beer garden and the outside bartenders was nice enough to deliver my drinks to the table. As far as a Harvest Host site is concerned, pretty big, level dirt parking area that as they admit gets a bit muddy after rain, but if you keep to edges, you'll be fine. We, along with about a dozen other campers parked on the empty lot next door. They have an open air bar in the back of the brewery with a nice courtyard. We both tried their green chili cervesa and I also tried their Pilsner and my husband the alien IPA. All very good. It was all very enjoyable; Christa was a friendly and enjoyable bartender. Very easy going. We also met some enjoyable travelers from all around the country.
