Decided to hang out after a long day on the slopes and was so happy I did. I have had some of the food at the resort at Black Mountain Lodge, and always thought it was the best of all the ski resorts I've been to. 6th alley live up to the expectation, we walked in around 4:30 and got lucky as some folks were leaving from the bar so we were able to get a seat there. Our server, Grayson was clearly super familiar with everything on the menu and at the resort, he was very friendly and made some great recommendations. We started with some beer, and then we were told about "Wingo" Thursdays, which is exactly what it sounds like, wing specials and bingo. We didn't anticipate staying for bingo, but after trying the wings and they were so incredible, we decided to have some desserts as well and play along since we were hanging around for a bit. We got the traditional and the garlic Parmesan wings, $15 for 12 wings is a really good price and they were absolutely incredible. We also tried the tres leches bread pudding, this was quite possibly the best bread pudding I've ever had, Grayson told us they do a different one every year, I'm very happy. We came this week and not last week as it would not have been the same then! The skillet cookie was also delicious, we tried the peanut butter, which was a unique combination as usually these are served with chocolate chip cookies. Everything was five star perfection, which is super unexpected for bar food, and even more so at a ski resort. I will be prioritizing coming on Thursdays again ! read more

Came here to eat for Wingo night and had a blast! Wings are $1 each and they have a good amount of flavors. We got the 12 count and got Cherry Habanero and Cajun Dry Rub. Cajun was a bit salty, cherry habanero was super delicious!!! Looking back, I would have rather just ordered all 12 Cherry Habanero. Wings were good sized and very fresh and juicy. Comes with dip of choice. Also got the Puled Pork Quesadilla on their appetizer menu and was pleased with how much meat was in there, Beer tonight was only $5 for a Ska Beer, which was pretty worth it for my partner. The food here is really good! Made fresh to order and alcohol is great! My GF and I came here for WINGO night and ended up having so much fun! The food was great and the beer was half off! The service was fast considering everyone ordered wings at the same time! It's very clean inside and is located near the Cafe of the Arapahoe Basin Ski resort. It's located near the base of the mtn. Hit the spot after a few hours of snowboarding! I got food around 1:00pm and it wasn't too crowded. The food is cafeteria style and it came out fast and warm. So many places to sit inside and outside if it is a nice day. This cost around $20, to be expected when up on the mountain. Tons of drink and snack options. Got a few drinks and lots of dipping sauces. They had tons of food options too - pizza, mac and cheese, chicken and so much more. Perfect meal on a Saturday after boarding. I will be back! First let's just get the bad news out of the way: It's a ski area, beers cost a fortune. There's just no other way to put it. If you can get past that part, 6th Alley is the bomb. I've been going there since the early 90's. Yep, before the turn of the century! Maybe once in that amount of time have I encountered a bar tender that wasn't awesome. They always have fun people working there, people who understand the vibe and don't try to crush that. They have a great selection of brews on tap, not all IPA's which is nice for a guy like me. There are a couple tv's to check out games on, but it's tough to look there with a wall of windows on some of the best views found at any bar. The deck is a party, winter or summer! The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because, well I'm not a wealthy guy and I literally have to choose whether I can afford the gas to drive home or not after a couple beers. Not sure how I'm the first review buuuut I'll take it! :) I came here one day after the last chair at A-Basin and I just loved it. First of all, Twisted Tea on tap which is always a big win in my world. Next, they have this barbacoa quesadilla that I am not joking was...the #1 best quesadilla I've had in my entire life. Seriously not joking. Not sure if it's always that good but omg Beyond that, I sat up at the bar and Ashton was the bartender. She was so so friendly and genuine. Great service! It's a chill mountain restaurant/bar, with a bit of a rowdy feel full of locals but I was there on a Monday so that could be why. Anyways, 100% will be back! read more

Wow. We just enjoyed a fabulous meal at 6th Alley. The 6th Alley is hosting a Summer Supper Series at A-Basin. Every Friday boasts a different menu. Tonight we enjoyed their Low Country Boil: Gulf shrimp, fresh Chesapeake Bay Blue Bay crab, Kielbasa, sweet corn and red potatoes. We started with a cucumber, watermelon, feta and fresh mint salad and ended with a lemon cream cake, garnished with fresh cream and strawberries (sorry, no pic for this one). They also offered a full bar and drink specials. I highly recommend their bacon bloody Marie if you love spice. So good. We left with a take away and felt absolutely stuffed. The staff were amazing, attentive and all following COVID precautions (masks, social distancing, and hand sanitizer). Our table was beautifully dressed, spaced comfortably away from other guests and with an amazing view of the basin. Take a look at their website for ticket options. the menu does rotate quite a bit so be wary of what pictures you see online. They have had specials at various times during the season but there aren't any specials currently. I'm really enjoying this spot!!! The Bloody Mary is delicious and a little spicy. It's just right. and (for $1) comes with a sidecar mini Coors (which I ordered even though I don't like beer? I was swayed by the art of the deal) Gorgeous views of the slopes from the balcony. A great place to grab a drink between runs OR stake your claim as lodge crew and read a book, enjoy the view, do your Wordle, etc. Also lots of bangers playing. I had low expectations for this place since it was a restaurant on a ski area, but wow the food was amazing, fresh, and high quality. I got the duck grilled cheese and everything just came together perfectly. It was something new to me. The salad was also so fresh and seem gourmet instead of the sad side salad that most restaurants give. There was cucumbers, heirloom tomatoes and the dressing was delicious. The tots were also a good size to share and crispy to perfection. To me there wasn't anything special with them except for how they were cooked, but my friend loved them. Stopped here after a day of snowboarding! Only ordered a quick bite to eat and drink! The restaurant and bar definitely practices social distancing and ensures that everyone wears a mask properly. I would recommend if you decide to eat here to sit on the rooftop. You have amazing views and unlimited limited space to practice social distancing and remaining 6 feet apart. The service is fast. We ordered and we received a buzzard. The fries were a bit crunchy and flat! Not really fries, but more like chips! The Bloody Mary was AMAZING!! There was bacon and a hint of spice! Clean bathrooms, some at the bottom and a unisex handicap spot upstairs to the right of the bar. Full bar, more than mid mountain and about twelve beers on tap. Great selection so this is a good spot to end the day or stop early for some Bloody Mary's. Salads. Appetizers. Burgers. Seafood. Desert. Fries and smaller snacks. Something for every mood. Food seems a little more expensive than up the mountain but it's all about the same. Next door through the building you have an al la carte cafeteria type of spot. Few tall stools and tables. Long tables to eat leaving room for jackets and boots. Outdoor seating and a ton of room upstairs even. Racks outside for your skis or boards. Good place to take a break and eat. Fantastic Dinner at the Arapahoe Basin Ski! Friday -Sunday 5:30-8 the 6th Alley Bar & Grill has started serving some of the best dining around. We have been up twice since they started for the absolute finest Lamb shanks anywhere. Some of our party goes to New Zealand regularly and said it was the best Lamb they had ever had! The dinner menu has plenty of options from steak and fish to mac and cheese. For dessert we shared the chocolate mousse, wonderfully delicious. Its about 7 miles from Keystone, at the main restaurant building. Parking is right at the building that time of day. If you're not staying after skiing, I suggest going in around 6:30, the bar is clearing out and the live music ended at 5:30. Sunday's locals get 20% off! read more

Since this is the only restaurant in the whole area, you really don't have a choice. That said, I really enjoyed my time at the 6th Alley while my husband was skiing. It was PACKED! but somehow the service was pretty good. I ordered the cheesy artichoke Spinach dip ($10.50) and my husband the 6th Alley Burger: Black Angus beef, sautéed onions, harvati cheese and bacon ($14.95). Pretty decent food. I stopped in here because I was famished after my half-day lesson. Unfortunately, I found the wait staff to be quite intimidating and rude. I felt mistreated more than once during my dining experience here. The more I think about it, the more infuriating it becomes, since I even left a generous tip. Being nice goes a long way people. I walked in close to 1:00 PM. Since it was still fairly busy, I stood at the table directly behind the bar to order a beer and some food. The waitress made it seem like taking my order and that of the other people around me was such an inconvenience. I wish I could give this place two stars, since the food is actually good. But my experience overall as a guest, cannot be overlooked. Once my meal came, I started to feel weak and queazy. After all, I am recovering from the flu. So I decided to sit down at a table that was empty, since I've been in my ski boots all morning long. Well the waiter or possibly even manager at the time, said I couldn't sit there because I didn't have other people ordering. I just ordered $20 worth of food and beer just for myself! All I wanted to do was to sit inside for a few minutes, so I didn't pass out while I ate my meal. There were plenty of groups around me that didn't even order food! They were just drinking water and talking. Well another group noticed what had happened, and they kindly offered me there table once they were done. And again, a different waitress approached me and said I couldn't sit even though I told her my friends were coming and we were going to order food. So instead, I invited three other strangers to join me, which they gladly did. I understand you can't have people loitering. But by the late afternoon, there weren't tons of people clamoring for tables, so why kick out those that will continue to patronize your institution? read more

Honestly, being one of only 2 restaurants within miles of this ski area, I expected the food to be mediocre and at a very high price point. I was beyond ecstatic when I was proven wrong. I was hesitant, to spend precious time I could use snowboarding, taking an hour lunch, but it was well beyond worth it. The truffle aioli parmesan tater tots are fantastic! The seasoning on them alone already make them a delicious savory dish, but with that truffle aioli dip, it was elevated to whole new levels and left me without a feeling of guilt for loving fried potatoes. Normally, when looking at food, I don't really give a second look at any type of grilled cheese because I figure.... Its just grilled cheese. THE DUCK GRILLED CHEESE IS THE BEST DISH I'VE HAD IN COLORADO. There was a perfect balance of cheeses in the cheese mix, the duck was juicy, savory, and succulent, the light jam spread provided a sweetness that really brought the plate together. On top of that, you get a salad that refreshes your taste buds to make every bite of that grilled cheese exactly like the first one. THIS IS A MUST HAVE. I also had the poke bowl. It was alright, but the fish was a little tough. There are many better options than this one. If you are here you must have skied. This bar is located in the Arapahoe Basin ski Mountain. The staff is friendly however it can be very busy and they want to get you in and out. The bar is big and has both table seats and bar seats. They have more drinks on the menu then food. They have classic hamburgers and chicken and salads. They also have a kids menu too. In my opinion the prices are a bit high for what it is, however it is at a ski mountain. I have the chicken and waffle sandwich and it was really nothing to come back for again. The waffle was very big and out portioned the chicken. The lettuce and tomatoes there falling out of the sandwich. The chicken itself was good. Moist and crisp. They offer happy hour and drink specials. They also have a mug program that you can keep a beef mug there. But beware they have over 500 mugs and you have to remember your number because the staff doesn't like to go out of he way to look up. (Our waitress wasn't very attentive). For a long day of skiing it works for refueling and rehydration. I am not sure if next time we will go there or just go to town afterwards and bring stuff to snack. read more

For years this has been my favorite place for cold beers or bloody Mary's. Because this is our go to place to ski and my son and I, who live in different parts of the state, have often run into each other here over the years. I wish it was open all year...it would be a great after fishing or biking place to hang out. The food is fresh and generous...best burger place in Summit County by a long shot. The renovation is really high tone, the music good, and the service always with a smile...no matter how crowded it gets, drinks are treated as an emergency situation so come quickly for purposes of hydration. We have consistently loved A-Basin for the 30 years we have come there with friends and family...never had a bad day at A-basin. read more

This is the only restaurant to eat at the bottom of ABasin so I really didn't have big expectations for this place. It was extremely packed and it took for her to get our food. My husband ordered the burger with fries. The burger was extremely burnt and tasted horrific. The fries were just ok. His meal was definitely not worth the $15- he barely wanted to finish it. My Mac and cheese, however, was absolutely amazing. It was on of the best Mac and cheese I've ever had in my life. It was only $11 and was a huge, scrumptious portion of food. I loved it. Only problem was it was extremely filling and heavy so it wasn't very smart to go back to snowboarding afterwords. :) I would suggest indulging in it if you're done with snow activities for the day. The Legend is laid back. As is the Alley. Maybe not quite so laid back as it used to be but laid back enough that if your looking for someone to kiss your ass and make you feel special during the three deep at the bar rush this place might not be for you......that being said. For the money.... your not going to find better food than this in the controlled consumption zone.. Leave the fur coat in the Lexus, relax, grab a bloody (plain vodka) and just enjoy. When I entered the 6th Alley Bar and Grill I was rudely greeted by a staff member named Ali. It's overwhelming with all of our gear on and to be greeted so unpleasantly was terrible. read more

Came in at noon after some skiing. They run a very food shop here, the bartenders were friendly, helpful, and fast! Servers equally so, and the food was good. You're gonna pay $15 for the 6th Alley burger, because its that good and the extra $ keeps this place crackin'. Well done, staff! read more
