I'm not sure how I never found this place in all of our previous Breck visits, but I'm glad I did tonight! It's Just outside of town, a quick 10 minute drive. This place has a super cool deck and nicely varied menu. Service was great. We started with the queso, and never have I had queso that knocked my socks off until now. The combo of flour tortilla chips and the cheese blend was just awesome. I wanted to dip everything in it! I was wanting the Cobb salad for dinner, but they must've swapped it out On the menu, so I ordered the summer salad and added a ahi tuna. The house made dressing was delicious and the salad was just the right size. Super fresh with a variety of ingredients. Hubs got the meatloaf, which was unique and tasty! He loved the corn/zucchini side and the potatoes made for a hearty meal. My kiddo was super happy with his pile of corndogs and waffle fries too...a good value and size for a kids meal. Myla Rose is located in a quant hotel 15 minutes south of downtown Breckenridge. They have a kids menu that our youngest liked- chicken fingers and French fries. They had happy hour prices for some apps so we tried the queso and homemade tortilla chips. The cheese tasted a bit like a burnt oven, but was gooey. They had a smoked old fashioned on the menu, but the smoked part didn't work that night, so it was a regular old fashioned- still pretty good. They also have a market priced steak option as well, which was not very tender but tasty. The mashed potatoes were good, the Brussels sprouts were a bit salty and Mac n cheese was not great- grainy and mushy. However, what the food lacked the super cozy ambiance and friendly waitstaff made up for. Sitting by a wood burning fireplace, in the mountains drinking an old fashioned with dinner is what makes this place great! Escape the crowds of downtown Breck and try Myla Rose! read more

Their website says "upscale comfort food" and that is the honest truth. So many places off the beaten path just have burgers and hot dogs...and they do have burgers here but they are waaaaayy more than the concessions type at other roadside stops. But why get a burger when they have goat cheese fritters and ribeye in a red wine and mushroom sauce!?! They even have a salmon dish. This place is a must visit on so many levels: The unbelievable views, food, & friendly and good service. On a Saturday they even have live music! It is part of the lodge so you'll be looking for a bigger place than expected. They do take a break between lunch and dinner so the hours posted are alittle misleading. If you're looking for a good brunch spot in Breckenridge, this is the place to go. Their brunch specials are on the weekend from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. This place is about ten minutes outside town, but it's worth the drive! We came here for our anniversary brunch and were not disappointed. The Bloody Mary was the best I've ever had, and the food was delicious and filling. And, you cannot beat the view of Quandary Peak from the deck. This is a very comfortable setting with beautiful Mountain View's. The restaurant does not have a lot of seating, but it worked for us. The ambiance is great and we loved the huge stone fireplace as the centerpiece (nothing like the smell of a wood burning fire). The service was great even with the place being packed. There is an excellent beer, wine, and mixed drinks selection. We had the pictured items - meatloaf and burger and our daughter had the Mac and cheese. So, I have to say, the chef is cooking with love. The meatloaf was fantastic. Several types of wild game, seasoning and I believe some carrot and onion. The mashed potatoes were so good, I wanted more. Lastly the vegetables were fresh, seasoned well, all around the dish was perfect like I was eating a home cooked meal. The hamburgers, well, who can complain about a hamburger and this is no exception. The burger was executed perfectly, very flavorful, juicy as can be, and best of all cooked exactly how we ordered it. It is rough to find a good mid-rare cook on a burger. Lastly, my daughter's meal was perfect for her. She had a lot of Mac and cheese and a lot of fruit. She liked it and that works for us. Overall, great experience. Came here twice for dinner and drinks during my stay in Breckenridge. It had the best patio and view out of all of the places I dined at. Great happy hour, and the drinks were always very well done. The inconsistent food quality is the reason I'm not giving 5 stars. Cheddar curds - perfectly cooked and delicious, with really good marinara and ranch Tomato bisque - also delicious Fried pickles - great breading but the pickles were sliced too thick Burgers - all over cooked. Fries were good Myla's mac and cheese - just ok. Needed to have more sauce/creaminess as it was on the dry side. The smoked pork that I added was good and went well with the mac Kyle's chicken and waffle - extremely overcooked dry chicken, but the waffle and syrup were tasty. Great food and location but need more staff!!! We had reservations and still waited an hour for food while call-in orders were filled before dine in customers. Waitress said they are short staffed because workers don't have cars and can't get out that far from Breck. Business Tip: offer van rides for workers to and from work like all other resorts in the same situation. Cheese curds had a delicious batter but cheese was extremely salty as was the chowder. The 5 game meatloaf they said will always be on the menu because it's so good. It has good flavor, however the proteins are all very lean making it dry! It needs some fat to make juicy and more flavorful. Good thing going here, but could be phenomenal with a few fixes. read more

We popped in to Myla Rose on a Thursday evening after seeing their menu in our Blue River vacation rental folder. We were looking for a quick and easy dinner, and we got so much more! The restaurant has recently been bought out by new ownership, and it is clear that the young owners are working hard to deliver an excellent dining experience. Zach was our server, and he was friendly and attentive. We ordered the chicken wings, Caesar salad, and a pizza, and the food was delicious. The pizza crust was seasoned perfectly! Visiting from Denver for just one night, I was highly skeptical of the Myla Rose Saloon recommendation. I am SO glad I decided to dine here anyhow. Read on... Environment: Corky and cute, warm, welcoming, "hearthy" alpine ski lodge. Its clean and cozy. Service: The service was some of the best service ever. Granted, the restaurant wasn't busy at all. But everyone was so friendly, like they were all family AND like we were family too. Menu: Very thought out menu. Lots of really interesting menu selections - Things I've never had before. Portion Size: The portion sizes are very generous. I ordered quite a bit of food and sides, thinking I would try some of each. One side order could have fed a table of about 5 people. Notes: After we spent quite a while enjoying dinner and talking with the staff we retired to the sitting area where there is another lovely hearth and an upright piano. I am a professional pianist so I took about 30 minutes to play the piano. The staff all came out of the restaurant to see who was playing. It was my special way of saying thank you to the staff in addition to leaving generous gratuity. If you want great good, spectacular service and decent pricing, don't be afraid to wander a little outside of Breckenridge! The Myla Rose Saloon is worth every moment. read more

The BEST FOOD WE HAD IN COLORADO! This place deserves a noble-peace prize! It's a MUST GO! After eating there we thought, "Breckenridge who?!" The scenery is hands down THE BEST IN the High country. The weather is perfection and if it's not, they have the coziest fur blankets and multiple fireplaces on the inside to snuggle up too. The steak was orgasmic for the both of us. For me because of the taste and blue cheese, the wife's a vegan but was also for her later due to the additional energy I had. The cheese curds were better than what you can find in Wisconsin. Our family came here due to a Groupon that my daughter had and we were not disappointed. We sat out on the deck with a great view of the mountain and the food was delicious. A couple of us had steaks and a couple of us had burgers and we were all impressed with the quality of the beef. The Lobster Chowder was good however it could have used a little more lobster meat in it. The Cobb salad was awesome as well as the balsamic vinaigrette dressing I opted for. We are staying at Lodge By the Blue and I was having a really bad case of altitude sickness so I stayed in. I went to Myla Rose Saloon and the beautiful bartender with the unusual name made a wonderful suggestion. She said the resort had some natural items to help with altitude sickness at the front desk. We ate at the Myla Rose in Breckenridge on Saturday (early evening). The food was delicious, the customer service was great and the view from our indoor table was magnificent. We've been to Breckenridge numerous times in the past as we are Colorado residents. This cool place is off the beaten path but so worth the drive. I saved the best for last.... the female bartender there was literally award-winning - so talented. My husband and I had the best time. The view is AMAZING! Hands down AMAZING! That being said in have never been served hot food. Our meals are always cold as if they were up and sitting for some time. Three visits and three cold meals at this point. On my last visit our waiter/bartender really ruined things at the end and prompted this review. He didn't offer a check and one of our table members handed him a card. He went to run the card but the rest of our table said no please use this card instead. He laughed at us and ran the first card anyway. I didn't think it was funny. I didn't appreciate it. If people tell you no then no means no. Seriously his behavior was not appropriate, not appreciated and certainly not funny. read more

We were hoping for a better experience on our anniversary with a 4.5 review. Unfortunately it didn't hit the mark. The service was pretty good, but the food was not good at all. We had the cheese curds; they had so much salt on the top they were impossible to eat. I ordered the Mac & cheese with fried chicken; it was ok. My wife had the steak dinner and asked to swap out mashed potatoes with Brussels sprouts for dietary reasons. The steak was very thin (like something you'd get at a diner with eggs). Mashed potatoes were served anyway along with Brussels sprouts that were possibly canned/boiled; not good. The green beans were missing. Sadly the best tasting part of the meal was the mashed potatoes that she didn't want in the first place. Also, the iced tea... something was terribly wrong with it even after trying to change the flavor with two sweetener packets. Overall we just get like this was not a good experience. read more

The view from the patio cannot be beat - as the sun begins to set, it does get cool so go prepared. We shared the Bison Poutine appetizer and it was amazing. The Mac and Cheese with fried chicken was "killer". The Reuben, made with in house prepared corned beef, was very good. The Bacon Onion Jam Burger was cooked to perfection and so tasty. The Cheesesteak was ordered without the bun - no problem - it was fantastic. We each ordered a side salad instead of fries and they, too, were very good.
