Finding great food in Breckenridge can be hit or miss. A lot of places feel expensive with pretty average meals. Cabin Juice is absolutely not one of them. The food here is very good and completely worth it. I started with the pork belly skewers and shishito peppers, both great appetizers to kick things off. For my main, I ordered the Alpine Truffle Gnocchi, and it was fantastic. Rich, comforting, and exactly what you want after a day in the mountains. The overall vibe fits Breckenridge perfectly, relaxed but elevated, and the quality of the food really stands out compared to a lot of other spots in town. Was craving a smoothie with breakfast and Cabin Juice came up on my search - glad we went! While there isn't parking on the premises, there's a massive lot across the street that isn't too pricey and a pedestrian crosswalk. Walking in I immediately loved the vibe. Cozy cabin feel but also spacious enough to include a variety of seating (old ski lifts, classic tables, booths, bar, outdoor area, plus a few plush chairs with low tables). All staff was very friendly. I had the Turmeric Ginger Smoothie and my husband had the Chocolate Almond Smoothie in addition to a Chai that did not skimp on spicy flavor. Both smoothies were exactly what we were looking for For food, I went big with the Haus Breakfast; everything on my plate was excellent from the local bacon to the juicy jam. First, yes, it's worth a visit! The decor and overall atmosphere of this place are fantastic. The restaurant is located inside Gravity Haus, and all of the drinks are named after quotes from *Dumb and Dumber*. The drinks we had were quite good and worth the price, in my opinion. The food was unique and good, but not great. It was cooked and executed well, but a bit lacking in flavor. The only reason this place received 4 stars instead of 5 is due to the flavor-to-price ratio. Again, the drinks are great, and the food is good--just not at the level to justify those prices. I wish I could give a better rating. Maybe they were having an off day? I will say the cornbread was very good. The two salads we had less so. My wife's "Berry" salad had some strawberry and the dressing was wildly over poured. Get dressing on the side. My brussel sprouts, which I love, were floating in a miso ginger dressing that would have been excellent in moderation. I got the kale salad with chicken and the poor chicken was dried out and tough and the croutons made up, I kid you not, at least a quarter of the bowl. This place is really cute and a perfect location if you're staying at The Village. We have been multiple times for lunch and breakfast, but this was our first dinner. It was awesome! Everything we had was great. Exactly what they claim, everything seems elevated. I had the Mary Jane cocktail which was wonderful. The crab cakes had a ton of crab and we also had the sour dough which was wonderful! I had the salmon, which had an Indian twist. It was SO good! Made reservations kinda late in the week, and on a very busy weekend in town. We were celebrating a bunch of things at once, engagement, my finance having a book signing, and early Valentine's Day. I had envisioned a white table cloth sorta spot, but this was about perfect. Vibe was just swanky enough, and the food was fantastic. Steak Fritte, the vinegar of the chimichurri caught me off guard, but was a very good alternative to the traditional approach. I really enjoyed it. The steak was a nice cut on its own, and I appreciated them keeping it just past blue for me. Fiancé had an excellent kale Caesar with salmon. Was top notch. A mild dressing that still stood up with the kale, which is tough to balance. And the salmon was fantastic also. Ben, our server, was awesome. It was a little difficult to find parking and then the restaurant is upstairs but had to take the elevator. We were in the restaurant we were seated in. Large booth which was great and comfortable for our party of 6. We got the kids Mac n cheese, brioche French toast, 2 breakfast burritos ( one with added sausage), chia seed pudding, hot honey chicken and waffles. The burrito and the tomatillo sauce that came with was great but needed a side. The chicken and waffles came with a DELICIOUS tea syrup that was a definite "order again"! French toast was okay but it was a shock when we found out it was served with sour cream vs whipped cream- I liked it especially with the Haus jam!!! Now THAT I could have bathed in! The kids Mac n cheese stole the show with the multiple kinds of white cheese and gun noodles! The house went crazy for it! Bathroom and atmosphere was clean, modern and fresh- including the bathrooms with a fresh scent and baskets in the stalls for purses and a little shelf with extra toilet paper and box of tissues. This is basically an aprés bar with fine dining prices; there was one standout item for me though which I'll get to later. So, entering Cabin Juice; you walk through a locking wire fence gate like you're in the secure storage area of a warehouse. The vibe is modern barn/mountain; i.e. lots of wood and artsy/metal versions of horned animal heads. First complaint. The tables use all-metal seats like it's a factory line; not comfortable at all. Good for bros chugging while still wearing their padded ski and snow pants, but if you're wearing normal clothing for dinner, not so great. When I went on a dead night into April, service was notably bad. Host was not ready to seat us, but didn't even acknowledge us, just was running back and forth by the stand dealing with other issues. I don't care about waiting, but even a hello I'll be with you in a few minutes would be better than wondering if we're even in the right place given there's several entrances to the restaurant. Table service was initially good, but after food was delivered there was very little checking. Also, a pet peeve of mine, our server came to collect appetizer dishes and just set my one fork on the table. That's disgusting, either take it and bring me another fork at entree time, or leave it there on the existing dish until there's another dish. Food-wise, underwhelming and priced like fine dining (even in Breck), and this is not fine dining. I had Elk for example, it was inconsistently cooked with medium rare coming out half rare half no pink left (medium) like there was some heating issue on the grill. My wife's ragu was undercooked. Bread is an add-on, four whole slices. The end result was a bill nearly identical to the dramatically better (actual) fine dining restaurant Hearthstone a few blocks away, which we ate at the prior evening. I just felt really underwhelmed. However, one shining star, the bartender. I did not get to meet them, so I don't have a name to drop for you, but they went way above and beyond for me. I noticed a drink on their cocktail menu involving Benedictine, a fairly uncommon herbal liquor, which happens to be an important ingredient in my favorite drink, the Singapore Sling. I asked if they'd be able to make one, and they worked some magic with what they had and produced a very good version. I was really pleased, which of course just made the other aspects that much more disappointing, because I'd have come back several more days for at least drinks. read more

Didn't discover this restaurant until our last morning in Breckenridge. Our loss. The breakfast was great - especially the Eggs Benedict. The perfectly poached eggs were served on top of a slice of toasted sourdough bread, arugula and a thick slice of Denver ham. The ham was tender and just about the best ham I have ever tasted. All covered with Hollandaise sauce and served with a side of potatoes. Cabin Juice's version of Eggs Benedict is a winner. The restaurant itself is comfortable, spacious and the staff were attentive and knew the menu. When I ordered the Eggs Benedict, the waitress's reaction suggested I just got an "A" on the menu pop test. It was indeed a good choice. Next trip to Breckenridge, I anticipate we will go to Cabin Juice early and often. The whole menu was filled with other great options. My friend ordered to breakfast Burrito and really liked it as well, But I'm sticking with the Eggs Benedict. It's just that good. read more

We went to Cabin Juice with a party of 12 tonight and the dinner was great! I had a double black cocktail which was better than I thought it would be (coffee, whiskey, peach brandy, and amaro?!) and the server brought the entire tables' drinks quickly. I shared the shishito peppers, pork belly, and fried zucchini with a friend all on the server's recommendations and they were all excellent. I had read about some of these items, but it's always nice to hear it from the server as well. Another group at the table let me try their sourdough appetizer, but I wasn't a big fan of that one. Everything came out relatively fast and everyone was happy. I ordered the short rib pappardelle as an entree and it was remarkable. Everyone at the table kept eying the dish and eventually couldn't help but ask for a forkful to try themselves. It was super filling and worth coming here for. Even with a big group we were in and out in under 2 hours. The service was great from start to finish and I would happily recommend this restaurant to anyone. read more

First of all, I have to say that the ambience is what drew us into this restaurant as well as the proximity of it to our condo. Second draw was the cocktails. They are great. Third was the rotisserie chicken with buerre blanc sauce- and please know I almost never order chicken at a restaurant. This was great chicken 4 years ago. You get a half chicken! It has to be shared there's so much of it! Fast forward to this week. We come to breck. We bring our grown sons and a friend. We talk cabin juice up like crazy. Everyone orders the chicken with something called aji Amarillo sauce. I'm sure it's going to be good even though not buerre blanc. Not good. That sauce tastes EXACTLY like mayo and yellow mustard. The chicken was more the size of a Cornish hen. We got a breast. And a leg quarter. Both tiny and in the breast was dry and not flavorful. I guess it needed sauce but mustard mayo sauce is not what one wants on chicken. Our server was amazing. We loved her. The sides were good. I recommend the Brussels and the fries. The chicken was not good. And certainly not even ok for the price. Now I know times are tough up there. The snow is nonexistent. The mood around town is pessimistic. Because of this I will try cabin juice again next year hopefully and remain optimistic that the food gets better again. read more

My husband and I had the burger with potato wedges. I substituted goat cheese instead of the cheese that was offered, it was delicious! My brother-in-law had the steak, and even though it was a very thin steak, it was very flavorful! The staff were super friendly, and even got us in before the reservation time.
