We had an excellent four-man (two trucks) crew for our in-town move. From the time they arrived they jumped right into prepping our furniture for loading. Once they had the loading complete, they headed to our new home (less than 10 minutes away) and immediately began unloading. In addition to contacting us in the morning as to their expected arriveal time, their supervisor visited with us around midday (during the loading process) to ensure everything was going according to plan. He also set our expectations as to when he thought the job would be complete. They crew hit the target within 30 minutes of expectations. The move into our new home was a bit challenging as we had recently refinished the hardwood floor and installed new carpet. The crew was very attentive our requests and moved through the unloading and staging of furniture and boxes at our direction. The crew took a short lunch break, and were onsite for almost nine (9) hours--including some extremely heavy/cumbersome items that were placed on the second floor. Overall, an excellent job. Thought this company would be better than what's out there but they are not, they charged more than they estimate, they broke 2 pieces of furniture, and they stole tools from us, that was that hardest pill to swallow! Just had to move across town and these guys did amazing!! Our movers were Gathen and Varon and we could not have asked for better! Seriously, those boys need a raise! Both places we were moving out of and into were on the second floor with no elevators. The pricing was equivalent to most other companies we talked to. We were quoted for 3 hours and those boys moved everything in an hour and 45 minutes, while we got to sit back and just direct what got moved where. Additionally, they were running a special where weekend moves were priced the same as weekday moves (what a deal!) This move was stressing me out and 6th man movers took all the stress away! Made it look easy too ahaha they took special care of our furniture and wrapped it all in padded blankets and tape so nothing would get scrapped or break while moving. I especially appreciated the communication! We got a call the day before to go over the removal and make sure we had the correct equipment. Then we got a call the morning of letting us know exactly when they would be arriving, and lastly we got a call after it was all over to give feedback and make sure everything went smoothly. Move was okay, but the team ended up breaking my wire to my vanity light. They only offered $70 when I paid 196 for it. Since I most likely can't get the wire replaced, I might have to replace the whole thing. They won't resolve anything and give you barely a third of what you paid for your furniture. We moved from a 3 BR house in Franklin, TN to a 4 BR house in Lexington, KY. This was our 2nd move within one and a half years and it was far better than the first. Our movers were Jaythan and L'Ron. They worked hard throughout the 2 days the move took. If anything, I felt they worked too hard going without food or a break the whole time. i think this was somewhat my fault since when I was called the day before, I was asked if I knew of any reason why 2 men wouldn't be enough. I misjudged the amount of stuff we have and said "no". If asked that question again, I would definitely ask for 3 men. Maybe this would cost us more, but I don't like to have anyone overworked on my account. They were polite and respectful of us and our stuff and they got it done even with terrible weather. I would recommend this company over the big van lines anytime. They were professional, polite and willing and able to do whatever is asked of them. Happy with these movers! None of our items were damaged and they were friendly, and helpful. They were a little bit slower with packing and one of the team members kept trying text while moving our boxes which almost caused him to damage an expensive subwoofer and some of our kitchen items. We were told that the move itself should only take two hours to complete as we didn't have too many items - We were verbally quoted 2 hrs but they sent us an estimate with 4 hrs time "just in case it took that long" - The crew that showed up took two hours just to get our things loaded (our items were already fully packed in boxes) and another 1hr and 15 mins unloading. I expect it would've taken the entire 4 hours if my husband and I weren't helping and reminding them of timeliness. At one point during our move, a crew member told me that his lead was wanting to break for lunch. I asked him if their lunch break was going to be something we were billed for - I told them that I didn't want to rush them, but we were hoping this job would've taken a much shorter time overall. He said he was pretty sure they'd deduct that from our overall time, but didn't seem sure. They didn't end up breaking for lunch. Overall, we were happy with the service. I'm so bummed as I'm typing this review. I took a photo (so I thought) of the three men who moved my two-bedroom apartment from Nashville to Clarksville today. But when I just checked my camera for the memory card to upload that photo, it wasn't there. I forgot I removed it! Grrr! Anyway, that aside, my move today was one of the best experiences I've ever had with a moving company. Shawn, Revo and Juan from 6th Man Movers showed up this morning ready to work and they sure did. Juan is newer to the moving business and was "in training." I was impressed by how careful he was with all of my items. Shawn and Revo are seasoned pros and it showed! They maneuvered my very large dresser up a narrow set of stairs with ease and picked up other large pieces of furniture as if they were toys. All three gentlemen were very personable and easy-going, yet completely professional and focused on the task at hand. My items arrived without any issue. Also, they were fast! The whole move took only four hours. As for the booking process, that was super pleasant as well. Alex provided the quote and booked me right away. He was very responsive by both phone and email. I highly recommend this company. I picked them even though they weren't the cheapest quote. Why? Because you get what you pay for and I wanted quality movers who've been around for 10+ years with high ratings. I got my money's worth for sure. Found out at the last minute the elevator to the 7th floor was inoperable which would require taking a different elevator to the 6th floor and walking approximately 200 yards, then navigating up one flight to the 7th floor via stairwell. Contacted 6th Man Movers and they still said they would do the job. David was the lead man and along with Guillermo. This was an arduous task and they kept a great attitude and completed a 9 hour plus move. 6th man also sent an additional 2 men for a portion of the move. It should be noted they unloaded a 26 foot Penske truck that was full. I was very pleased with how they were able to adapt and fulfill the difficult and extremely strenuous task. They gave me plenty of suggestions about how I could save money on my long distance move and it literally paid off - my final invoice was quite a bit less than what I expected. The crew (David, Dylan, and several others) was friendly, professional, and worked very hard to get our belongings packed loaded and delivered without any serious damages or problems. We moved on Sat May 6th. We had Deon and K'Lan. They were great! They called me to let me know what time I could expect them. The first stop was our storage unit. They did a great job loading up our things and then on to the apartment we were moving out of. The truck was packed so well - it was amazing to see. They even did a great job helping one of the neighbors get his car out of his parking spot. Once they got to our house, they laid covering on our new floors and did a great job following my directions on where things should go. I loved these movers! It was a local move and we packed everything up ourselves. There were 3 guys to move a single level 1250 sq. foot house just a few miles to a new home (2 floors). They move quickly but not carelessly. They didn't bump into walls or hit light fixtures or drop anything. Nothing was broken. They really did a great job and I would hire them again in a heartbeat! Make sure you tip them because they really do an excellent job of moving your stuff and moving stuff really isn't fun. They all had great attitudes, honest, and were friendly.
