This place is such a rip off and quality has gone way down. I got the wedge salad with no protein for $10. It doesn't even have the onion strings on it anymore or bacon chunks....just bacon bits. Which that is what it is, the horrible part was I ordered another wedge salad to go WITH chicken. They charged an additional $12 for the tiniest chicken breast (so $22 just for the second salad). After driving by 7 Acre BarnGrill hundreds of times, hubs and I finally decided to try them out last Friday. We couldn't be happier with our experience! Everything was great from start to finish. They close at 9PM and we arrived just after 8PM, but were greeted right away and seated shortly after. The space is beautiful, warm, and inviting. The restaurant has two separate sections inside. To the right, you'll find the full bar and flat screen TVs. To the left, you'll find a more intimate section. My husband being the huge sports fanatic that he is, he asked if we could be seated to the section in the right, the more lively part of the restaurant. There's also plenty of outdoor seating on their patio as well their garden. We started with drinks - spicy skinny marg for me and old fashioned for the hubds. Then after looking over the menu, we decided on: Flash fried Brussels sprouts $8 Jumbo lump crab cake $16 Pan roasted mountain trout $26 Smashed barn burner burger $14 Pistachio cake $9.77 The drinks were strong but not overwhelming. The sprouts were fried to perfection and covered with bacon onion jam. Great combo. The jumbo lump crab cake was packed with chunks of crab meat - how it should be! The trout came with blistered heirloom cherry tomatoes, fingerling potatoes and salsa verde. The fish was wonderful and I wish it came with more salsa verde because it went very well together. I would have preferred a creamy starch over a dry one, but the potatoes were good nonetheless. I didn't try the burger, but hubs thoroughly enjoyed it and ate every last bit. It came with a side of fries which were also cooked perfectly. And don't skip dessert! We ordered a pistachio cake to-go and OMG, it was divine! It was light, fluffy, and had the right amount of sweetness. The portions were generous and the prices were reasonable. The service was fast and friendly. All the staff wore masks. Hands down, best restaurant we have been to since living in Georgia. Everything was well executed absolutely amazing fresh and delicious. It really matters when you start with good ingredients. My husband had the chicken Milanese and it's done with a bit of a Mexican flair and I would order that! My son ate the lamb chops with chimichurri and I would order that! I had the sweet potato gnocchi and everyone at the table would order that. We started with the shredded salad, which had a light, Dijon vinaigrette and Parker rolls fresh out of the oven with sea salt on top and whipped butter and oh my gosh, we will be getting those again. We shared the broccolini which was lightly charred with fresh smashed garlic and we will definitely get that again. There was nothing we didn't absolutely enjoy. My husband and I have enjoyed eating here for several years. Everything we have eaten has been delicious and the service is always good. However, on our last visit our server came to our table in the middle of our meal and asked my disabled husband to go out to our car and move it out of the handicapped parking spot. We had the handicapped placard displayed. We asked why and he said he didn't know why and that his manager told him to tell us. Perplexed my husband hobbled out with his cane and moved our vehicle. After some discussion with the hostess, he was told the restaurant needed to empty their garbage and their handicapped parking spot that we were legally parked in was in their way. I feel this was a very unprofessional way to treat a customer, a regular handicapped customer at that. I'm not sure we will ever be going back. This could have been handled better. read more

Looked on yelp for a good place to eat and found this gem. I had no idea where it was taking us but Holy Cow this place is amazing. Our waiter Alex was super knowledgeable and gave us good tips on what to eat and drink. My husband said it was the best steak he has ever had and I had the special pasta and it was amazing. After being away for five months we finally got back to one of our favorite foodie spots. 7 Acres always a great choice for home grown food. From garden to table still super fresh food that fill you up and leave talking about every bite. Tonight New Year's Day at 6pm we started with delicious apple mule and Earl Gray Mar tenie. Our appetizers were air fried Brussels sprouts and streak tar tar with cracklings. Excellent pairing with our drinks. The main courses included the special surf and turf, a plated spaghetti with a meat sauce, crispy chicken thighs w lentils, and a medium well done steak with garden veggies and au Grau tin potatoes. Was a 5 star for us until they changed their menu recently. We used to go every single weekend and now are finding that we aren't excited about it anymore. The new chicken dish was very bland. The cauliflower appetizer wasn't cooked through and cold in the middle. The scallops were good, but didn't offer any side with it so felt more like a very expensive appetizer. I'll check in the future to see if anything comes back on the menu. However, the servers are always pleasant and we enjoy them. read more

This was our first of many visits to 7 acre. For starters all the service personnel were extremely friendly. Our drinks and dinners had outstanding flavor and perfect portions. Food was good, not outstanding. Ambiance was missing but our service was excellent! I think we would go back if a group wished to give it a try. It was a 9 mile drive for us. It is a standalone restaurant which for us is a disappointment. We enjoying having a beverage somewhere before dinner then moving to our dinner destination then having an after dinner drink somewhere else which was impossible based on the location of the restaurant. When first walking in you can feel the ambiance of farm style and southern hospitality! I love the decorations and how the whole restaurant is styled like a cute country side home ( fits the area very well! ) then moving to the service, they were quick and got us seated immediately outside and were very nice while taking our order. I had lunch at 7 Acre BarnGrill several weeks ago. I was dining by myself because I had a short break in between two job assignments. My food (a delicious turkey & avocado sandwich) and service was so good that I texted my husband right from the table. "You would love this place," I told him. He's retired from the restaurant biz so I knew he'd appreciate not only the quality of food and service but also the design of the restaurant itself. Fast forward to last week...he and I *both* had lunch there together. Needless to say, my prediction was accurate: he loved his meal (Nashville hot chicken sandwich) and I loved it...again (an amazing crab cake sandwich this time.) What a great place! Looking forward to enjoying a cocktail sometime soon while sitting at the cool-looking bar. read more

Ive drove right past this place a bunch of times going to our destination and always looked at "I wonder how good that place is" .. wow I can't believe I didn't come in sooner!! There's plenty of private parking but they were super busy for lunch. Rightfully so.. ! The bar is a sight to see! We were greeted and got a table after a 10 minute wait. Service was top notch! Kim took her time explaining the menu, specials, and gave us a few to look over the menu. We got a few apps and our entree. The Jefferson cocktail was delicious. I love citrus and it had just the right amount of tequila with orange juice and also had lime juice. Brussels sprouts was a huge favorite. They were fried and didn't taste bitter, with a nice crunch and sauce on top. Toscana soup was amazing. The best one I've ever had.. Caesar salad was crisp and fresh. Dressings are made in house and you could tell. We also had shrimp n grits and a smash burger. Fries are hand cut here, and everything was truly delicious. We have tried to visit 7 Acre several times in the past and have always been discouraged by the wait. After visiting, I totally understand why everyone flocks here! We decided to give it another go on a weekday afternoon after the lunch rush. Boy are we glad we did! It is so cute inside and the booths are so comfy! The service was phenomenal and we were really, really pleased with the food and the drinks. We ordered the following: Pimento Cheese Fritters ($10) NC Mountain Trout ($28) Crispy Chicken Bruschetta ($20) Coconut Dream Pie ($10) Double Barrel Margarita ($12) The Pimento Cheese Fritters are insanely good! Small, but absolutely mighty. This is a bit pricey considering you get only three for $10 - however after trying these I would absolutely recommend getting them. Get them. Just do it. You'll thank me. The Trout was heavenly. The crispiest skin and the perfect amount of acid. It was delightful and I was sad when it ended. Hubs really enjoyed the Chicken Bruschetta. It is something I've had my eye on every time I peaked at the menu. If you're not a fish person the chicken here is sure to satisfy. I tried it and it was great. The chicken was so crispy and yet still moist. The accompanying salad was great. It was fried chicken at the end of the day, but ate as such a light entree. The Margarita was nice and did all the right things for me. The first was better than the second, but everyone is human. I enjoyed the second nonetheless. There were so many dessert options we were so conflicted on what to order. I didn't care for the Coconut Dream Pie we ended up ordering, but it was absolutely a personal preference. It was far too sweet for me and tasted more of chocolate and dulce de leche than it did of coconut. We will try another dessert next time. After mulling around Scottsdale Farms we worked up a thirst for an Saturday rainy afternoon thirst. So we drove around the Publix parking lot across the street from this place, to research any viable edible options. The sushi place was deserted, not a lot of people around there. This place housed the former coffee shop/antique store we used to visit. Now it's turned out to this full blown bar and restaurant. Which I feel is the wise choice for the residents who live in that area looking for a good place to eat and have drinks. A good solid simple menu with even a better beverage list. If you are a fan of bourbons. They have several flights you can experiment with different price ranges. We had our obligatory Saturday late afternoon cocktails She orders the Bacon Old Fashioned which was a little disappointing. I opted for the Gin and Josh, which was a play on a lemon drop. It was a bit tart but the gin came through and a touch of the basil and ground black pepper. Have it some floral and earthy notes. My SO ordered the burger with house made potato chips, very nicely done... I ordered the pulled pork Sammy with house made French fries. I was pleased with that. I took a picture of the menu with the HUGE bourbon list and sent it to my bud. Now he's jealous. read more

Let me just say, this place has a legit burger called Fats. It's really good. It's $14 though. However, if I'm ever in the mood for a $14 burger, this is the place I have in mind! The fried chicken sandwich was really good, too. The interior dining space is great. The booths have some very comfy, very nicely upholstered seats. Wouldn't normally care, but they're hard to overlook. Draft beer selection is on point, and the whiskey shelf was pretty extensive. read more

I always pass by this place, and finally on an impromptu night my husband and I stopped by... and WOW! I am amazed at what good food this place has. Fresh drinks, great service, cozy and clean. Please do yourself a favor and stop by. WHAT TO EAT & DRINK:: Try the lavender lemonade! I never get any juices in Restaurants because I assume it'll be made with made with sugary fake juice but this was fresh and sooooo good. Not sugary at all. The fish and the salmon are amazing. Very disappointed in my lunch and I was giving it another shot, after not liking it the first time.. The wings were not very flavorful, big and messy, but they didn't much taste or seasoning .... and the shredded salad really was plain and boring. The Caesar wasn't much better, I'm afraid...they need to have different salad dressings. They were so bland, they didn't taste like any was on the salads when we got them, so we ordered extra dressing and it didn't help. And I really am not a complainer...I never write negative reviews...but when lunch cost nearly $50 for two people ...not counting any beverages...it was just very disappointing. I need another visit and will adjust my review. My first impression was that the staff is so warm and friendly. They are pure professionals and they care. I love that. The second impression was of the wine list. Jordan. Nickel and Nickel. Beautiful wines, but their list is unapproachable and far too aggressive for the menu. If you have a cheeseburger on the menu and your lowest price bottle of red is $70+, you're not matching the menu to the wine list. This is off-putting to us and we went for glasses instead. The food menu is imaginative and creative and we liked our steak and salmon. The brisket looked great and the trout was wonderful. The buratta and pimento cheese app were REALLY good. But please please please match some more reasonable wines to the food. It's clear that they care about the wine list and they know what they are doing, but a good sommelier can find good value in the $40-60 range too. Fix this, and you'll have my business again. Note, they do have reds by the glass but they show no bottle prices on that list, so it's clear they don't want you to go there. A mistake in my opinion. read more

If you sut inside you are taken care of. We sat outside on Saturday October 1st. You cannot have 1 waiter doing all these tables. We ordered a hamburger which should come with condiments to begin with. By the time we got the mayo our hamburger was cold. I ordered the trout sandwich which should have had the basil sauce on it already as it did not. Waiter outside should have a runner bringing the drinks, condiments and the refills ! Our server was super helpful and accommodating and genuinely attentive and interested in our having a good experience. ALL the food was delicious and not lacking in any way. What particularly stood out was the flavor of the ribeye and those goat cheese and chive potatoes are NUTS! And the blueberry custard pie - I'm 100% a chocolate gal and the cake was excellent; however, the crust on that pie is something something very special. It's not a quiet place but that's fine...just know that it's not one of those places you go for a quiet dinner. I will start by saying we love this place. my 3 star rating has to do with the very skimpy $18 burrata appetizer and the decline in vegetables and sides with the trout. My regular Salmon bowl has also shrunk in portion. $242 with tip for a party of five and no alcoholic drinks was an eye opener. I am hoping the restaurant reads this because I want them to succeed. A local gem in Milton, this place serves up fresh "farm to table" fare (they literally have a garden out back), has a strong bar program, and arguably one of the best pastry chefs in the Atlanta metro area (bold statement, I know). Because this is a "neighborhood spot" you can expect it to be very busy on the weekends and they don't do reservations. But it's well worth the wait, which has never been longer than 20-30 minutes for us. It's non-fussy, not pretentious, and has a rustic, farm feel. On our latest visit, I was excited to try the new fall menu. We started with cocktails, an Apple Pie (bourbon, spiced apple, lemon) and a Pearsuasion (pear vodka, chai spice, apple juice, lemon) and the Country Pate en Croute. The Apple Pie was a bit tart; I think I would have gone easier on the lemon and upped the bourbon, but it was still very good. The Pate was essentially a meat pie and it was delicious! Highly recommend. For entrees I had the Nicoise Salad which was perfect. Instead of the traditional tuna, they do a seared Chilean sea bass which had a perfectly crispy crust and a nice buttery center. My husband had the trout which was flaky and mild and also very good. For dessert we had the orange olive oil cake and the poached fig pie along with a bacon old fashioned (get it - it's delicious!). Let me tell you that the olive oil cake is the stuff dreams are made of! Dense, flavorful, and just as good the next day (I took half of it home with me). My husband ordered the poached fig and goat cheese custard pie in a ginger snap crust and it was just so good! I do recommend sitting inside - the porch out front can be a bit loud from its proximity to the road. This is a 4.57 place, you walk in and you can already feel the ambiance, old and country ish. I got seated quickly and the service was go. The bar was huge. The booths were high up and soli. It is kind of a wheel accessible place, it id until the entrance, 2 steep steps to go in. The waiters are nice, and cool, it takes a pretty short time to get the food. The food is always made fresh. Every day they get the meat and grind it to be fresh, it tastes good. The smoked salmon was amazing, best smoked salmon I have tried in a while. The cheeseburger was good and big , also with the sweet tea, you can put how much lemon you want in it. read more
