For a rainy Friday afternoon over a long weekend, they were pretty busy but multiple tables were open. When we arrived our group split between the upstairs patio and the front picnic tables as we had our dog with us. The picnic tables out front is the only section that is dog friendly. When we ordered food we were told the wait is about an hour which wasn't an issue as we were there to hang out and chat! The food accurately took exactly 1hr and staff was very apologetic when the food was brought out. However, our burgers we're phenomenal! After a wait like that, I was definitely worried but they were cooked perfectly, just like we asked, and served warm. Some folks in our party were a bit annoyed about the wait. Some orders that shouldn't have taken an hour (pickles, pretzels) took as long as full meals which was strange. All in all, great experience and was glad we finally checked out Whetstone. They serve all their own beers at a really good price ($7) so just going there for beers and the view is definitely a move. From other reviews, it sounds like the wait for food is typically long so just be prepared to hang out - it's a good time!

We ordered a few drinks and appetizers prior to our dinner plans. The wings are a must try as we had both the buffalo and maple sriracha wings. Both were extremely well seasoned and flavored. The meat itself was tender and moist. The pretzel bites were delicious and soft. However the beer cheese could have had more flavor to it and consistency it felt a bit watery. All of our drink were delicious. My raspberry sour is definitely a new favorite. Service was efficient the only mishap we had was she asking for our bill they gave us the wrong tables and when we corrected them they seemed shocked of our honesty.

It was a very short drive and the parking facilities were good .. the interiors and seating were good too. Lots of space inside to sit and drink. Service was good, and the waitress was always smiling and took care of us well. Being a brewery one thing that surprised me was they just had one IPA on the tap.. just one IPA.. can you believe it? I was eager and waiting to drink a home grown New England/Vermont IPA but all we had there was one variety... it was a hazy IPA and don't get me wrong. It tasted really well... but I wish they had more options. They also had a wheat ale and some wine varieties.... Even in the food front, the menu was limited and less options.. We ordered chicken wings, and it was ok. Sauce was a bit sweet .. one of the sauces was really good and spicy . Overall, it fell short of my expectation and wish they had more food and drink options.. 3 stars ...

Driving in I asked my husband I asked what Kettlehead is known for an he said: Beer. Yet somehow, I can't love Kettlehead. A few things occured that damaged the experience: 1. The waitress spilled a sampler all over my wristlet and cell phone. She was oblivious but she has been spilling it the whole walk to the table! She seamed put out i asked of they had bleach wipes as we were in from out of town and i didnt want mty cell phone smelling like beer all weekend. 2. The waitress stated the coin change machine is wonky and they don't own it. The coin machine worked fine but it was the first game we played, Tokyo Drift, that ate our money. I reported it and seamed like the guy didn't care. He didn't offer me a $1 to make up for it nor did he shut down the machine after my report. I feel like if you have it in your place, you should stand behind it. An issue, it should become yours. 3. The pretzels are terrible. They are like sliced and fried with no flavor. They looked like little hot dogs. We go to a ton of breweries and this is the worst pretzel experience we have ever had. Also, the waitress told us the mustard was the beer cheese and vice versa. My kid was not to happy when she ate mustard! But also, the worst beer cheese we have encountered as well. Her excuse, she has been up since 4am. Well, my husband wasn't wrong. He raved over their beer. Nobody was impressed with their food.

Steve and I had the Triple Agent which is a Triple New England IPA. This beer was enjoyable. Flavor highlights in this one are juicy, citrus and tropical. While this IPA was good it didn't necessarily a beer that got etched into my mind as time passed I still had no complaints with it.

Maybe only 200 sq ft (if that) space inside; 1 tall table with 4 high stools, 2 leather chairs, rest of the space are standing room only. A tight fit, but so cool inside! Needless to say, beer only - they don't have the license to serve beer in pints, but you can get the 4 oz samples and growlers to go. The place was PACKED when we were here; but everyone was very friendly and shared the small space together. They had 8 beers on tap; we had to try all 8! Everything was really solid; my fav was the stout and hubby liked the IPA. We didn't get to talk to the brew master as it was so crowded, but really enjoyed the experience and would recommend this place to anyone who is passing through or vacationing nearby. Just a side note - the bathroom situation is very interesting... the toilet is a cross between portal potty and compose. A bit high up and there's actually a step stool for the ladies to step up to "sit" on the seat. Bathroom is not dirty and doesn't smell...but it is definitely a hole for the waste to go in; no flushable water. By the toilet, under the bucket sink (with bud light tap as the water faucet control!) there' a bucket of dirt. Sign says to put a scoop in after you poop (ha!). Not an ideal situation for female, but still better than portal potty.
