A great apres ski spot, close to okemo and parking is extremely easy. Located upstairs in the building outer limits has ample seating and bar seating. We ordered a few drinks and appetizers prior to our dinner plans. The wings are a must try as we had both the buffalo and maple sriracha wings. Both were extremely well seasoned and flavored. The meat itself was tender and moist. The pretzel bites were delicious and soft. However the beer cheese could have had more flavor to it and consistency it felt a bit watery. All of our drink were delicious. My raspberry sour is definitely a new favorite. Service was efficient the only mishap we had was she asking for our bill they gave us the wrong tables and when we corrected them they seemed shocked of our honesty. read more

We were visiting Ludlow VT and was googling to find the closest brewery and found outer limits . Ofcourse , Google had a 4.8 star review and we had no second thoughts and went here . It was a very short drive and the parking facilities were good .. the interiors and seating were good too. Lots of space inside to sit and drink. Service was good, and the waitress was always smiling and took care of us well. Being a brewery one thing that surprised me was they just had one IPA on the tap.. just one IPA.. can you believe it? I was eager and waiting to drink a home grown New England/Vermont IPA but all we had there was one variety... it was a hazy IPA and don't get me wrong. It tasted really well... but I wish they had more options. They also had a wheat ale and some wine varieties.... Even in the food front, the menu was limited and less options.. We ordered chicken wings, and it was ok. Sauce was a bit sweet .. one of the sauces was really good and spicy . Came over with a bunch of friends after a great ski day in Okemo. The pub's model had to change following the devastating back to back floods in Vermont in 2024. Their beer making capability was seriously affected by the floods and they're more of a drought and can establishment with awesome food. Still one of the most friendly and fun pubs in this hemisphere. We sat and had sumptuous, soft and tasty pretzels and superb brews. These folks need our support. We had a feeling this would be a good experience when we rolled up before noon on a Saturday and there were already 4-5 vehicles in the lot waiting for them to open. Great location with a number of high top tables, tables and a bar. Service was friendly! We started with pretzels which were excellent. They had a nice favor to them as they use some of the ingredients used in the brewing process. Beers were excellent! All brewed onsite. They even had wine for those who aren't big into beer. For a meal, we had a salad and pizza. Very good! If you do get a chance, walk over to the open kitchen area and check out their oven. It has a their logo tiled into it; nice touch. They have some great items to purchase as well; shirts, glasses, sweatshirts and cans of beers. Great spot to stop if you are in the area! Or worth the drive. read more

Really good beer. Limited menu of food choices: pizza, wings, salad, pretzels. Good not great service, though they do try hard. We had a reservation, sat outside. Our table was waiting, terrific! Propane heaters really helped take the chill off. Waited a short while each time we interacted with a server, nothing exaggerated, nothing prompt. Beers were excellent. I had an American IPA and a fruity juicy British style IPA, spouse had a dark porter. And a pretzel which was lovely! Bill: Was about $40, seems a bit much but no surprises. Awesome spot! We went skiing in Okemo and made a reservation about three weeks in advance to visit on a Saturday at 430pm. What a great time it was! Outer Limits has live music on Saturdays from 4pm - 7pm. Probably recommend getting a reservation because it was about a 2hr wait if you didn't have one! There are a few parking spots directly out front but there was plenty of free, adjacent street parking when we arrived. Wood-fired food was delicious. The Cajun wings are a must try, and at least one pizza. They have the classic Cheese, and then they had the Vermonster and a special for the day. You can also make your own. I would highly recommend stopping in when you're in the area because it was a blast, the food was reasonably priced, and the service was good, too. read more

Great place in Proctorsville VT . Beers are really good so do 6 selection of 5oz pours and pick your choice for a pint later. I loved the 3rd EyePA which is their milkshake IPA and a really fine bourbon barrel porter and whiskey barrel exsobeer as well . Great find for midweek early apre-ski rehydration! Found the nitro stout and Hellers lager to be solid; excellent Cajun dry-rubbed wings finished in wood pizza oven were juicy with crispy skin. Pizzas going by looked pretty killer, esp. xvoo, ricotta, prosciutto and arugula special. Easy reservation for outdoor seating, but you can't quite get the full experience here. We arrived and were seated, to find out that you can't order flights or smaller pours outside, as it was pints only. Since this was my first visit, I had my eyes on numerous brews to sample, but that was off the table, so I decided on their Weizenbock (Sbock's Brain), a beefy brew at 8% and a style I truly love. It was average, sorry to say. My wife had their American Pale Ale (Ground Control) and also quite average when comparing to the other breweries in the region. After going inside to use the restroom, I can see why they don't allow flights outside, as it is quite the distance from inside the bar to outside seating with a couple flights of stairs too, so I wish I made a reservation for inside. They have a performer playing covers inside on this Sat. evening and the inside was fairly full, but not packed. Service was a huge home run and the pizzas were solid enough. Nothing to make me make the trip back if I'm being honest, but certainly glad we visited. read more

Want to hear about a cool place? Come here! Created by husband and wife duo, these two craft beers with actual flavor and reasonable ABV. Thank goodness not another IPA joint where everything is hoppy. They do a great job of balancing flavors and various types of beer for a more inclusive drinkers experience. They also have seltzers, wine, and soft drinks. They also have a brick oven pizza which hit the spot nicely. Another unique story is that the wife's dad is very much into outer space that he bought a meteor at an auction and had it shipped to him internationally. Decided to visit Outer Limits after a day at Okemo and really enjoyed it. We each had two beers and shared wings. The wings were good, we were able to split them and get 2 different sauces. I came here with a really big group of friends on a weekend vacation in Vermont. I think we got there at the exact right time, our group of ~15 got seated right away. Our server was super attentive and nice and took care of us for the whole time we were there. They had some live music and games to play too. A few of us got samplers which were really well priced, and a couple cheese boards to share. Coming from Boston, we were pleasantly surprised to see everything so reasonably priced! The beers were all really good, and the food was impressive. I wish we had tried the wings because when you walk into the taproom you're instantly hit with the scent of their buffalo wings and it smells SO GOOD. Instead we got the cheeseboards and their special pizza. It had a butternut squash sauce, mozzarella, sausage, sage and apples. It was so good! I was worried it would be too sweet (like squash tends to be) but I was pleasantly surprised. My friend also got their salad and said it was delicious but recommended dressing on the side. We tried every beer they had and the apricot wings which were awesome! If you like a certain style of beer you're unlikely to like everything when you visit a brewery. What you can tell is whether their beers are true to style and well made. I would say that most of what I had at Outer Limits was very well made. I could only speak to a few of the styles, but what I enjoyed seemed dead on. I would say that every beer they serve is very good, so if you visit you can do what I did and try them all, or just go with your favorite style. Can't make a bad decision here! They have pizzas here and a fantastic pizza oven that you can view from the bar in the taproom. I'd like to return to try them. Everyone we saw having pizza seemed to enjoy it. They have games and it is kid friendly. A few families in here, which was nice to see. The apricot wings were fantastic! Loved the fact that they finished them in the pizza oven to give them a bit of crispness. I will have wings every time I visit from now on! You can bring growlers home and they had 2 styles of beer in cans. My favorite was the English style juicy IPA so we brought that home. I hope Outer Limits is around for a long time. We stopped in last minute during a beautiful Sunday drive. We sat outside and it was a truly perfect day. I couldn't make up my mind on which beer to get, and I was kind of bummed that you cannot get flights outside. Other than that, everything was great. Service was fast and efficient. The menu was limited, but everything we had, we enjoyed. Pretzels, meat and cheese board, and a pizza. I absolutely loved the pizza! The crust was perfect. The beers are also delicious. Their beer menu has a very in-depth and accurate description of each of their beers, which helped immensely in picking out some thing that I would love. This brewery was right next to where we were staying and the second to last to visit. They open at 11am and closed at 8pm on the weekends. It's located on the second floor and has a lot of space. They have a cool wood pizza oven and fun table games. Great selection of craft beers and food. The only downside, they don't sell cans. The way to purchase is with your own grower or howler or purchase theirs. To bad because I would have picked up a 4 or 6 pack. I just didn't need another growler or howler in my collection. I understand that things are different because of Covid, but if you're offering a limited menu you should mention that when customers call about reservations. They didn't. Came here wanting a flight and a cheese plate and they didn't have either. Service was slow...at a brewery your beer should never be empty. Especially at limited capacity. Mine was for almost ten minutes. Sat us at the one table without an umbrella and told us no when we asked for one or to change seats. We've both worked at artisan pizza places. We've both worked at breweries in VT. This is hour home state. Pie was horrible. Beer was flat and my partner wanted the smoked nitro stout which was another reason we went, but they told us it wasn't released yet. Takes two minutes to print black and white menus as they had. Came on opening day with 5 other adults & 2 kiddos. Brewery is on the 2nd floor. Packed house! Brand spanking new, so everything was pristine. Various choices of seating-bar, high tables, low tables, picnic tables-you get the idea. Most of us did samplers. Cleverly served in muffin tins. You get 6 5oz pours for $10-not a bad deal. You can also purchase the 5 oz pours individually for $2, get a pint for $6 or take home a growler for $15 (+$5 deposit). There were 7 beers to choose from. Their beers are fine-nothing spectacular. I suspect they will improve with time. I enjoyed the Oatmeal Stout which was served from their nitro line (always a fav for me) and their Schwarzbier which is rare. Honestly, I think I was given the wrong list for my samples, so I wasn't really sure which of the other beers I was drinking. Our service was marginal, at best, but a problem we had was quickly resolved by the owner who was very gracious. The brewery is very kid friendly. There was entertainment being provided by a guy playing the guitar & singing. He was conscious of the noise level near the kids-appreciated. I stopped in after work to check out this new brew pub. It is in a great location right on the green in Proctorsville. I tried a beer sampler of six beers. They currently have seven on tap and are adding a couple more in the coming weeks. The place is open, airy, clean, and bright. The menu is limited to pizzas and salad, but it sounds like it will grow over time. The beers are solid and affordable at $6 a pint. Outerlimits is a great addition to the community and worth a visit. read more

Excellent variety of brews and pizza. We enjoyed the Space Cadet Imperial stout and the Winter Warmer. We liked the Amber is the Color as well. We had special Buffalo chicken pizza which was so good we ordered another one. Service was great. We had to buy t shirts with their logo. read more
