My group walked in with about 30 minutes left before closing, which is still a reasonable amount of time for customers to be served. As soon as we entered, Shay asked if we were paying with cash, and when we said yes, her attitude immediately became dismissive and unwelcoming. We even offered to pay with a card if cash was an issue, but the negative attitude continued regardless. At one point, Shay looked over at the other employee who was making drinks and said, "Are you kidding?" in a clearly frustrated and disrespectful tone, which made us feel even more uncomfortable and unwelcome as customers. Because of the unpleasant atmosphere and attitude we were receiving, we only ordered two drinks and felt uncomfortable ordering anything more, despite originally planning to get additional items. What made the experience more concerning was that another customer in the store mentioned she had experienced similar issues with Shay multiple times at this same location. She also said she had already contacted management previously but had not seen any improvement. I understand that closing shifts can be stressful, but customers should not be made to feel like a burden while the store is still open. Professionalism and basic kindness go a long way, and unfortunately, that was missing during this visit.

Then as we were putting our coats on and cleaning up our table to leave, he turned the lights off on us and left us in the dark, even though there were still employees there behind the counter working. When we said, 'We're putting our coats on, you don't have to turn the lights off on us, that's really uncalled for,' he responded curtly with, 'I already told you to leave,' followed by a cold look. He treated us in about the most unfriendly, unprofessional, harsh way you could treat polite customers who frequent here. There is a right way and a wrong way to go about letting customers know the establishment is closed and they would like you to leave. Especially after we spent $18 on 3 drinks (one was a small toddler drink). This was the very wrong, rude, unprofessional way to go about it. He was very cold and short in the manner he spoke to us and treated us, even in looks he was giving us. It was like he was taking his bad day out on us or something. If you're going to work in customer service, especially at a manager level, this is completely unacceptable, inappropriate, unprofessional behavior and a very rude way to treat loyal customers. We will never come back here because of his behavior, and we'll find another place to meet and have coffee with our friends. There are plenty of coffee shops where managers don't treat their customers this poorly.

Not only do they always have some amazing seasonal drinks that they rotate out, but their normal drinks are also amazing! They roast their own coffee in house, sometimes you can see them roasting in the window as you grab your drink. Every single person that works in here is sweet as can be, but Theo has to be one of my favorites! He is always in such a positive mood if I come by in the mornings and it always puts a smile on my face when hes in the window. The owners are also extremely kind, and I always enjoy their happy vibes when I come by before work. My favorite drinks have to be their seasonal christmas cookie latte, the orange cardamom latte, and the Fresh Thai Tea with some espresso added!
