It's good. Come on a day with nice weather. It looks like an old Route 66 gas station. Cute outside patio, line out the door, 2 workers that were slanging coffee as fast as they could move. The coffee was good (I prefer something a little less sweet, think cortado/gibralter). There are a few munchies available...the one we tried was nice. Heck yea, we will return

Probably the most beautiful coffee place in KC & suburbs! imo Beautiful neighborhood & a cute little cafe! They don't have indoor seating but they do have outdoor seating. I have also seen people ordering a coffee and sit outside the flower shop nearby. I am curious to come back here during the fall and winter season & see what people really do for seating. Hehe! About the coffee, we ordered a Bee high latte and almond joy latte. Liked both of 'em. There is not a lot of space inside.

An absolute favorite. What a lovely little coffee shop, plenty of specialty drink options, was served nice and quick. Great amount of seating outdoors. Vegan friendly

Such a cute spot! I got an iced latte with toffee & spiced brown sugar syrup. It was tasty, but the espresso wasn't super strong--only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars. Next time I go, I would just ask for less milk but that's just a personal preference! Line was out the door but they moved through orders quick.

Tried out this cute coffee shop today and was glad that I did! The latte that I enjoyed was good. The service was prompt and friendly. The pricing was reasonable compared to other coffee shops. They also offer a good variety of teas and syrups. They have outdoor seating only but unfortunately unshaded for a hotter day. Quite a few customers dropped in to a make their purchase and leave. I sat outside for a bit but the sun was too direct and ended up driving to a local park and sitting in the shade.

Cutest little shop- no space inside for seating- just a small counter to stand at. The patio was cute with large chairs to sip coffee. The girls working were kind and chatty. I ordered a large iced latte and it was very milky. Not sure the number of shots, but I'd say ask for extra if you're looking for a stronger coffee flavor.

HiHat was a charming coffee shop with pastries and a diverse menu of drinks. I appreciated the area it's in as it's clean and quiet with other shops next door to explore while you enjoy your coffee. I tried the Golden Latte and loved it. The service was efficient and friendly. I will definitely return!

Excellent and flavorful espresso in the latte. The Oat Milk adds creamy texture. Excellently made. Hi Hat was busy today. There were local regulars, and the two baristas were friendly and efficient. The baristas form relationships with their regular customers and they even come back when in town. Baristas are also friendly and welcoming to not so regulars. It has been at least 8 years since I last went to Hi Hat. The outdoor seating area is wonderful and welcoming. In a world if drive thru coffee, it is worth parking and going into this cute Cafe to get your coffee. The baristas even make designs in the foam. You don't get that at a drive thru.

Originally an old 66 gas station this adorable coffee shop in Westwood has become a local favorite. Service was great. Didn't try any of the pastries but they looked delicious. Coffee was yummy. The patio is so adorable!

What a magical little coffee shop. It rests on a pristine corner on State Line, and just like the city of Westwood Hills, the building is small and charming. My grandparents had a small gas station made of rock in the 1930's and I could see the quaint similarities of the two structures. It certainly made me wish that it was still in the family. The Covid line out into the side lot was kept moving by the barista / juggler. Two people inside at a time to decide, place your order and pay , then step outside and allow 2 more in while you listen for her to yell your name. Completely efficient and civilized during a time of uncertainty and incivility. The espresso macchiato was perfect to sip while window shopping at the flower shop and grabbing some chocolates for myself and gifts at Annedore's next door. An idyllic morning!

Very friendly and good coffee. Very small place in a small multi-business strip. Gelato shop two doors down, to go with your coffee or tea!

My Winner of Best Restaurant Week Meal 2026…read more I hadn't been back to Westport Cafe for a few years but now I'm kicking myself because I've been missing out! I remembered this restaurant being one of my favorites in years past . For some reason it fell off my radar. Now it's shining like a beacon of fine dining French inspired cuisine in Westport, an entertainment district known for a more casual environment. If you are looking for a special date night meal, somewhere for a girls night or just for a treat yourself dinner I would highly suggest Westport Cafe. Let's talk about this incredible restaurant week menu. First was the deconstructed crab cake (which is always on the menu) I would order this dish again and again. The way it was presented was a work of art. All the components were complex and it was fun to eat. It has such an essence of crab without the heaviness deep fried crab cakes usually have. Seafood is special here because the Trout Almondine was one of the best fish dishes I've ever had. It begs to be added to the menu. The sauce was buttery and rich with nutty notes, the citrus cut through the richness so, it didn't seem heavy. The fish was cooked impeccably, I literally had no notes. They know what they're doing in that kitchen! And you know if I can rave about green beans then it was a perfectly executed dish. They had such a nice snap and vibrant green color, they were delicious dipped in that sauce. I cannot wait to go back for another solo splurge meal. This was my second dinner of the evening so I didn't make it to dessert at the restaurant but, I did take it to-go. I'm not a big dessert girl so, it wasn't very memorable however, the rest of the meal is engrained in my mind. I remember back a few years ago I used to go crazy for the muscles here so, I can't wait to sample them again. Also, just a note any menu that has rabbit on it just completes me. It's so hard to find nowadays in Kansas City and it's one of my favorite meats to indulge in. The menu rotates seasonally (as one should) so, I need to rush back in soon before the rabbit leaves. I would suggest you rush in too, I do not think you'll regret it.

Our night out in Westport took us to a couple of different spots…read more Our main haunt for the evening, however, was Westport Cafe. It's a pretty eclectic, cozy French Bistro. I highly recommend making a reservation because the space gets crowded quickly. We started the night with "The Corinthian," which was a velvety, sweet, and incredibly refreshing libation. The food throughout the night was a bit of a mixed bag, leading to some hilarious table critiques: One friends Stuffed Lamb Saddle: This dish looked like a Monet on a plate, but unfortunately, most of the pallette tasted like a five-year-old's finger painting. One of the glaring faux pas's was the Kryptonite-colored risotto, which tasted exactly like the peppermint gel the dentist uses to scrub your teeth clean. The lamb itself was cooked well, though a bit on the gamey side. The Halibut & Croque Monsieur: On the brighter side, one friend ordered the halibut--which tasted great, though the portion left her wanting a lot more--and another ordered the fancy French version of a ham and cheese sandwich, which was delicious. My friend and I decided to split a few plates: Oysters: Served on an elegant little plate with a house-made hot sauce and trout roe, these were absolutely spot-on. Beef Empanadas: As someone with high empanada standards, these didn't quite hit the mark. While they were mostly crispy and the meat had good flavor, the texture inside was a little mushy. The saving grace was the fantastic chimichurri sauce. Steak Frites: The steak was tender and flavorful, served with hollandaise and mustard sauces. The accompanying truffle fries, however, were like costume jewelry--glamorous and fancy at first glance, but ultimately just ordinary. The staff was nice and attentive and it was very thoughtful that they told us the 20% tip was included in the bill. Note: The restaurant does get pretty loud and packed, but we got lucky and were seated all the way in the back, which gave us a bit of a haven especially since our group can be a little obnoxious. Pro-tip: if you have a sweet tooth, saunter over to Insomnia Cookies afterward for an incredible treat... It's cookie heaven!

I remember back in 2011 when I worked at the Nelson we were absolutely starved for a great local coffee house to open up nearby. We had Latte Land on the plaza but parking over there was always nuts and to just pop in and grab a coffee we'd often end up over at KCAI. When Crow's opened while I was away in graduate school I remember my former colleagues gushing about it - saying it had finally happened and a good shop had opened. They weren't wrong. Here we are, probably 10 years (ish) since they first opened their doors and they are still serving the need for fantastic local coffee in this part of KC. On my most recent visit I popped in for a coffee to take with me to a meet at UMKC and I was reminded at how great this spot is. While there are many more great coffee options nearby these days you can't fail to remember Crows and I look forward to my next visit!

The coffee flavor really came through and was perfectly prepared. The staff was also very friendly and helpful which made the experience even better. I will definitely be back.
