Tonight, the manager, a bald male in his 30s-40s, right at 7:00 pm sharp, rudely came to us at our table and said, 'You need to go. We're closed.' They literally had just closed at 7 pm. Then as we were putting our coats on and cleaning up our table to leave, he turned the lights off on us and left us in the dark, even though there were still employees there behind the counter working. When we said, 'We're putting our coats on, you don't have to turn the lights off on us, that's really uncalled for,' he responded curtly with, 'I already told you to leave,' followed by a cold look. He treated us in about the most unfriendly, unprofessional, harsh way you could treat polite customers who frequent here. There is a right way and a wrong way to go about letting customers know the establishment is closed and they would like you to leave. Especially after we spent $18 on 3 drinks (one was a small toddler drink). This was the very wrong, rude, unprofessional way to go about it. He was very cold and short in the manner he spoke to us and treated us, even in looks he was giving us. It was like he was taking his bad day out on us or something. If you're going to work in customer service, especially at a manager level, this is completely unacceptable, inappropriate, unprofessional behavior and a very rude way to treat loyal customers. We will never come back here because of his behavior, and we'll find another place to meet and have coffee with our friends. There are plenty of coffee shops where managers don't treat their customers this poorly. read more

I asked for a large iced black and white chocolate americano with heavy whipping cream. First they made it hot, tried to serve it to me in a hot cup. then they told me that I asked for half n half and not heavy whipping cream, and didn't put any flavors in it, so I handed it back again. then the last drink they gave me (after already 2 tries) was hot thru the plastic and when I said something, she said "it's probably the espresso". I was a barista for 13 years, I have a lot of experience with coffee and even when making an espresso drink- you do not hand out hot coffee in an iced cup. I just asked for a cup of ice to pour it over, done being here. Tastes like trash, no flavor at all. Even my 11 year old son said "that looks nothing like what you order mom" I coulda bought a glass Starbucks drink in the gas station and poured it over ice and it would taste better then what I just got served. Love the hot apple blast!! It's nice to drink on cold days instead of coffee. It's like an apple cider and think there might be little bit of caramel. They send you coupons on the app few times a week and it's great. I like their happy hour deal too. read more

If you love inconsistent coffee this is your place. You could order the same drink 5 times a week and every day it comes out tasting different. The espresso shots I presume are not being pulled right because they constantly taste like death. Very occasionally you'll get a great shot and a great drink but it's rare. read more

Definately some of the smoothest coffee you will find in the midwest! If I was reading on coffee quality alone this would be an absolute 5 star and in the top 3 coffee of all time. But this particular spot is a simple shop connected to a gas station. You don't get the cool hang out vibe here. But if you simply want a great coffee you have to get Caribou. read more

I was craving a blended coffee drink this morning and the last numerous times at SB have been very disappointing for me. So, I whipped out my trusty Yelp App and decided since this was close I would give Caribou a try (especially because of the convenient drive thru and my hectic schedule). Also, despite lower reviews, I ventured on because I don't have that Maverick badge for nothing! Be courageous people, lol! When I arrived, I was the 3rd car in line but my order was taken promptly and the wait was minimal. Just before reaching the window though, I noticed a spider on my windshield! I am no fan of spiders so I wasn't really excited about opening my window! The nice drive thru employee came to my rescue and helped point his location out, since he hid in between the windshield and my window, and served me swiftly so I didn't have an unwelcome 8 legged hitch-hiker inside my vehicle! As for the important stuff (my food and beverage): I tried the blended Mint Conditioned beverage with milk chocolate. I agree with another reviewer that, compared to the other place, their drinks taste overly sweet with less coffee flavor but honestly I kind of liked that! Also, there was like a mint explosion going on! I often add mint to my mocha frapps, pay extra for it, and then cannot even taste the added flavor, so this was exciting. Also, they had Ande's mints crumbled on top...nice wow factor. I also ordered the Spinach Egg & Swiss Mini. While this was hot, soft and tasted delicious it was just too mini-sized for $1.99 in my opinion. I will definitely visit again but think that next time I will choose to leave off the whip and ask for a half shot of syrup to reduce sweetness and calories, as well as order a full sized sandwich. read more

I visit this location on weekends when I have a chance as we do not have these where I live. Today I went thru the drive thru, and there was a sign on the ground that said speaker broken pull to window. I pull up to the window and see a girl with her back to the window playing on her phone and a sign that says "Honk if not served". I sat there for 4-5 minutes and drove off after getting tired of waiting. I shouldn't have to honk my horn if you know your speaker doesn't work, watch the window. Or be smart enough to stand where you can see a car pull up. The sitting area was empty, so they can't use the "we were busy" excuse.I probably won't be going back here again, and I hate going to Starbucks. read more

I'm addicted to Caribou - I come here about 5 times a week, I wish I was exaggerating. I absolutely love this place and their signature drinks. I have never had any of their hot sandwiches so I cannot comment on those. My absolute favorite drinks here are the Caramel high rise and caramel cooler. The whip cream here is to die for! The staff is always so friendly and I love that they know me and my dogs. My dogs always know that they will get a treat from the nice people here! Love this place! And the fact there is a drive thru because I am way too lazy in the mornings! read more

This location seems to struggle for good help. More than once they have given me regular caffeinated coffee when I've asked for decaf. I am not supposed to have caffeine. When I called to complain the girl said asked me "how do you know it was caffeinated." How do you think? she said would write my name down and I could have a free one next time I came in. I recently went through the drive thru and ordered a blended campfire mocha. I don't think I've had a worse coffee, ever! I didn't even finish it. I've been to caribou a few times before and I've never really been impressed but I like to mix things up a bit and give my Starbucks taste buds a break, and let's be real, Starbucks is mediocre coffee. But caribou is just plain nasty. The service is average, I do like they offer a military discount but that's not enough to make me return. read more

A pretty formulaic place, pretty much a mini Starbucks in terms of look and feel, with a slightly more limited menu. The coffee is very good and the interior well lit and clean. With the requisite free wi fi, not a bad stop to take a break and check the scores or catch up on some work. read more

The Caribou connected to Hy-Vee gas is absolutely amazing. They're never extremely busy so I like to go there when I want to sit down for a while and work on things. Wifi is an added bonus too! Their drinks are reasonably priced and delicious. Many of them are pretty sweet and sugary. read more

I've been here a couple of times mainly because it's the ONLY coffee place in the area with a drive thru. Kudos for that! But despite all my friends' glowing reviews of this place, I just don't like their coffee. In fact, I've thrown away every cup of coffee I've bought from here after only taking a few sips. Their flavored drinks, such as psl and caramel macchiato, taste like a cup of syrup and sugar without even the slightest hint of coffee. I even tried ordering a simple cappuccino (so that I could avoid the syrup issue) and the coffee tasted SO burnt. read more
