I mean, it has so much going for it. Whereas No-Co just has, um... gas pumps. This is the UB North location of NOCO in the sense that it's always filled with college students. The reason it scores lower than other NOCOs is because it has the same issues (slightly overpriced, and too busy), but with the added caveat of having one particularly unpleasant (male) cashier that seems angry every time you get something rung up by him. The other employees are okay. But there are much cheaper places to get gas anyway (try the reservation out by Akron).

Was in there yesterday to get ice cream, waited in line and observed the female employee not…read morewearing a mask (it was under her chin.) she was talking to a friend that was loitering next to the front door, who was not wearing a mask at all. I mentioned to the young man cashing me out that she should be wearing a mask, and told the young man he needed to be wearing one as well. He replied, and I quote, "I'm exercising my right NOT to wear a mask, bitch!" In my anger I'm sure I swore at him and left quickly. I called later to ask to speak to a manager, and have not received a call back as of yet. The young man who helped me, I believe his name was Assam, did tell the girl to put her mask on and she did, but the ass by the door remained. I watched for another 5 minutes and saw him standing there as customers came in and out. By the way, I called the health department.

Definitely one of my favourite convenience stores in the area and now that it's right next door to one of my favorite restaurants in the area - Xi'an (try the lamb cumin) - I come here even more often. They're pretty friendly and they've got a pretty eclectic crowd coming in and out. Always busy. The store is basically a decent indie version of a7-11. It's a quick place to grab beer (they have a surprisingly decent selection) or a bag of chips.
