Regularly shop at this grocery store for necessary food items, hot foods, snacks and drinks. But…read morefor some reason, every time we want fried chicken from the deli counter, they are out of chicken or don't have enough cooked and ready to be served! It has happened a number of times over the years, doesn't matter what time of afternoon or early evening. Latest instance was on Friday, 8/16/24 at 4:10 PM. We had dropped by to get a couple of 16 Mixed Piece buckets, but they were out of chicken so we had to wait about 25 minutes. So, we walked around the store to get our other groceries and then picked up the 2 buckets of freshly fried chicken. Waiting for it wasn't that big of an issue. Just the fact that the cook wasn't scheduled to be there until 5:00 PM, as mentioned by the employees, and they were totally out of chicken with other customers waiting to buy some as well. Anyway, finding other bread, milk, chips and Sodas were no problem at the store. Good experience browsing around and going through the self-checkout process. Parking was fine as well. Safeway needs to do something about hiring more people to work the deli and hot foods corner. Gotta do something about the schedule to make it more convenient for the customers and workers.

However, I have never had a prescription filled at this Walgreens so I don't know how their pharmacy is. This location always seems to have good sale items. My mission today was to find Cadbury eggs. It seems in 2026, they are a hot commodity! I couldn't find them anywhere on Easter Sunday . After trying 7 different places, I gave up. This Walgreens location was well stocked & they were 50% off MSRP so they were a great deal! . And the cashier gave me another 10% discount discount because I was over 55. So don't let the bathroom view put you off this is not a bad Walgreens to shop at.

Currently as of 6/21/19 not accepting Apple Pay and never has at the POS terminals in the store or…read moreat the pump! They don't get my fuel purchases because of this. Gas statin at the bottom of Lea Hill takes Apple Pay at the pump and gets all my fuel purchases. They had Scan and Pay system in the store to skip the line and use Apple Pay through the 7-11 app but the district manager took the system out only after two weeks. Claims not used enough but they did a poor job education the customers on how to use it! The line during peak rush is still half way back thought the store. The clerks on several occasions at this location have been caught stocking items or organizing the hot food cabinets leaving one register during peak times unattended. They need to prioritize customer check out at their number one mission in this store. Good problem to have with many customers but you need to check them out more efficiently and bring Apple Pay / Android Pay to all POS terminals, gas pumps and reinstall the Scan and Pay self check out kiosk! Did you ever fix the slurpy machine, could not shove a large cup under it and you wonder why your constantly mopping up slurpy off the floor. This was a problem for way too long!
