Very bad customer service The old middle eastern guy is rude and believe his customers are dumb. I used to go to this location pretty often to buy some breakfast but this is over. So, there's a special promo with the 7-11 app going on this entire week. This place is in a convenient spot. The store is big with a lot of options, and it's the only 7 Eleven gas stations in the area. The problem is the gas is very comparable in price to other larger brands, making me unsure of how the quality of the gas is comparable. The store front is fairly dirty, and the restroom is horrible. They didn't restock the soap and the toilet and floor was horrendous. The customer service was fair. A main complaint I've always had about Irvine in particular in comparison to its surrounding Lake Forest and Santa Ana is that there are so few gas stations. It's the whole sprawling expanse since Irvine essentially is a series of purchases from the farming land barons of past. There are miles and miles between some gas stations and it's a total inconvenience and not something anyone has or will address. This part of Irvine just west of the Spectrum is all business so it's really nice to have something here instead of trying to make the 3 miles south to the next gas station or go over the freeway near the Costco. It's true 7-11 is not known for their gas, but it's a station and besides only having 8 pumps the store itself is reasonable in stock and value. I'm noticing something too is that 24 Hour Fitness's often have 7-11's near them. Some of the business' here are established and strong, but too often restaurants fail and furniture stores fail and so the parking lot is a bit of a cluster with barricade's and fences sometimes. With so few pumps there is also minimal awning. The light at the corner is really long even when it's not busy with concerts or rush hour. It's fairly clean, but it's not new. Prices are ok, but gas in general is high for the area. The rule of thumb is the further off the freeway the cheaper, but this is only true for Irvine. They could use a better selection of cigarette's and more coffee, Slurpee amenities, but perhaps it's the mediocre size they have to work with. Have been coming here for a year since I moved to Irvine. It never bothered me that the cashiers are always indifferent and seemed bothered by customers because I don't need any extra attention when I'm buying water. Last night however I went to buy water and Gatorade. When I got charged it was like 12 dollars. I thought it was weird so I asked why if the water was 2 for 4 and the Gatorade was 2 for 3. The cashier walked over checked the sign and he said oh yeah the sale starts at midnight you have to pay full price. I then ask then why is the sign up he shrugged his shoulders and walked back to the register. At this point there was a line of about 5 people looking at me impatiently. So I just paid and left never coming back. I didn't feel like making a scene but I could have told him he had to honor it. read more

If I could give them zero stars I would. I was just there not too long ago and this older middle eastern man with a thick mustache started yelling at a women that walked in asking for a refund telling her to shut up he was so rude arguing with her as I tried to pay for my item. She was explaining she didn't use the item and wanted her money back and he started getting louder calling her a lier when she asked for the managers number he got more aggressive with her. I felt so uncomfortable at the end of the day the consumer is always right and this is something that he should understand I've read so many bad reviews of this place I will never go here again. Ok so I drive a pretty nice car and my check engine light comes on... I take it in to the dealership and they kept telling me I was putting regular gas in my car and that I should be using premium. I definitely would never do that! But they checked my car and said I was putting cheap gas in it. Okay... so I go into 7-Eleven to get a bottle of soda. Runs me $1.80 roughly. As if it isn't already highway robbery to charge that much, I give the cashier a five and he gives me back 20 cents saying that I gave him two singles. After being adamant about giving him a 5 dollar bill, he says he's mistaken and sees the five I gave him and hands me back 2 dollars. Seriously!!! I would highly suggest avoiding this gas station. I had my credit card numbers stolen last night and the only place I charged my credit card that day was at this gas station. I called the station this morning to report it and tell him to check the machines to make sure they are real and the attendant seemed very uninterested in what I was saying. I go here daily to grab a quick redbull or to put gas in my car. The people who are rating this place poorly because of the staff probably aren't being polite to begin with. I have never had a single issue with their staff. If anything, they go the extra mile for me whenever I ask. I'd like some wings but the ones sitting out don't look too appetizing? I have never been to a worse 7-11. The cashiers rarely acknowledge your presence, and when I go to get a quick taquito or chicken roller, there are usually at least 5 items on the rolling grill that aren't moving, making them burnt on one side. I asked the guy behind the counter why there were so many food items not rolling, and he asked me which one I wanted and kinda mumbled and stared at me (it was the man with the thin curly hair and glasses). I don't use the fountain machine any more, since I started seeing little black chunks of what may have been mold on the ice. The iced tea usually tastes like it's been left out all day...because it usually is. The employees don't seem to want to be there and it shows in their service and the state of the location. I really wish there was a different convenient store that was walking distance to me, because I would rather go ANYWHERE than here. read more

I am absolutely in shock that what happened last night when I stopped in to buy a few items from the 7-eleven I shop at everyday if not 2x/day since I live at Los Olivos Village homes located directly across the street. In fact after last nights incident my husband and I pulled our bank statements and between the both of us we average $60/day spent at this location and that does not include cash transactions which is often for us. Every employee there knows us well after these past 2 years of seeing us regularly and we have never had any issues at all with majority of staff but there is one specific employee a older middle eastern man that typically works graveyard that is a HUGE PROBLEM for all paying customers who quickly become innocent victims of this employees abusive and outrageous behavior/treatment. After multiple reviews posted by myself and my hubby regarding unprofessional and uncalled for behavior we have experienced or witnessed with this employee and his treatment of other customers - I'm left believing that 7-11 condones this disturbing and inexcusable treatment of their patrons at the hands of THIS employee. He isn't the owner but I am thinking maybe he is the brother or related because it is unfathomable that this man is still even employed here. I have witnessed him at min 40 times yelling at or being rude to customers I mean that's typical for him but when I watched him use racial slurs towards an African American man simply trying to get cigs and gas then follow the man out to the gas pumps and literally get into a physical altercation with him I thought oh that's it he is done working here for sure. There were hundred witnesses because the irvine meadows venue aka Verizon Wireless across the street just hosted a concert and all the attendees were stopping at the only gas station for miles and only one conveniently located at the light right before the freeway onramps. You can only imagine my shock and aw that he has continued running the grave yard shift to this day and this happened months ago. However I did notice that while he use to work alone he now was being babysat by another attendant and it seemed like he was no longer allowed to run the register or was instructed to have little to no contact with ppl for a time period. That made him grumpier than ever but obviously felt invincible as it has yet to stop his rants, rage, unprofessional behavior and mistreatment of innocent customers. after about a month he was back to working alone and his antics started up again soon after that. I left the Irvine center drive location last night astonished that not only did this man violently & verbally abuse me as if he had not a worry in the world cause he knew he was allowed to treat paying customers this way but also to Harass me threaten me and ultimately attack me when I had done NOTHING TO instigate this volatile and violent behavior - I have no words to express my complete disgust, embarrassment, my fear for never being able to go near any 7-11 now because what will be allowed next!!! I am going to be contacting the police and submitting a report on this employee and this location for continuing to allow this man to be employed there and allow the paying customers & innocent victims be subject to this mans rudeness, rants, racial slurs, uncalled for verbal abuse and now straight up violent harassment and threatening behavior. the incident(S) I have witnessed and fell victim to at the hands of this employee negatively impact this business I cant imagine why they would continue to allow this to go on. the staff during the day are all fantastic but I highly recommend not going to this place from 9pm until 6am - if u do pay at the pump or enter at your own risk read more

Convenient location, good (broad) selection, and service has always been pleasant.

This happened 10/24/16. Went in late, probably 2:00 am. The guy who was working said maybe 2 words at most the entire time my friends and I were there. My friends bought a pizza and snacks, and I bought a bag of chips for a dollar. I also requested 10 dollars cash back. I waited for the guy to finish helping my friends and to give me my receipt and my cash, ended up getting distracted and walked out and got gas. Later in the day after realizing I never got my cash back, I tried calling the store a bunch of times to tell them what happened but got no answer. So I called my bank and told them what happened and was credited my 10 bucks back. Just got a letter saying after investigation they "denied my inquiry based off the notification received from the merchant or their processor," and reversed the provisional credit. Worst service I've ever gotten at a gas station, and I am never returning. A word of advice for 7-11, try hiring friendly employees, or someone who speaks English, or someone who remembers to give people their cash back would be nice. read more
