first of all, why is every employee at every 7-Eleven location on their phone the entire time at night speaking into their headset, a different language out loud and not even acknowledging you exist. as that was happening ....., It says on the 7-11 Replenish drink shelf that if you buy it you get a free small slurpee. I get it and a slurpee then wait at the counter for the head-set talker to finally come over... then THE CASHIER SIMPLY REFUSES TO HONOR IT. Just tells me no, that it's not the case, nothing says that, i'm wrong, it's not true. I made him walk over to the drink shelf and watch me annunciate every word on the sign right in front of outloud with my finger following along "buy one get free slurpee" then he starts murmuring i can't because it's night time or something or the machine doesn't want to or something i can't understand because he's barely understandable. The A-hole continues acting like I was the crazy one and like i'm making it all up. I got the slurpee specifically for that reason and now he expects me to pay for it. All the stuff i came there to get i left at the counter threw a dollar in his face and walked out with my slurpee. the whole thing wouldn't bother me only that the principle of him refused to acknowledge the problem and that i was right. I recently visited this 7-Eleven in Irvine, and I was really impressed. It's located in a shopping center with plenty of parking right out front though they say it's just 10 minutes, realistically, it took me closer to 15 minutes in and out. Compared to 7-Elevens in the Los Angeles area, this one was noticeably cleaner and better stocked. I was actually surprised to see they had hats and caps for sale! The staff were friendly, and the atmosphere was just a bit nicer like a small bodega feel. I honestly don't know why it only has 2 stars on Yelp! everything you'd expect from a 7-Eleven was there, plus more. I'll definitely be returning whenever I need a quick stop. I arrived around 1:00 pm on a Tuesday, but nobody tried to help me--no eye contact, no interaction, not a word, only an unfriendly expression that seemed to say I was a bother. I purchased a medium Slurpee here one evening recently and walked out the door assuming I had paid the correct. I went back in and I told the cashier about the mistake. The cashier said "to bad you left who I can't help you". I was checking my receipt outside the doors. So they didn't help at all. New employees didn't have the drinks I ordered in stock, didn't bother to let me know beforehand or at the register.
