The gentleman was working his register and saw that the charge went from 5.32 - $8.07 and I asked him why did the charge go up practically $3.00 more because tax around the area only charges %9.5 at most. When I did the gentleman went to the area where I got the Reeses and pointed at the "Oreo" and said that it's Oreo in a very entitled tone as if he were trying to belittle my reading skills. I also pointed out and said, "I can see that, sir but it says Reeses on top of the Oreo title making it clear it's the flavoring". Then the gentleman to proceed to become erratic and started saying, "BRO ITS OREO" Then proceeded to point at the King sized merchandise with a sign that obviously says buy 2 king sized Hersheys, KitKats and Reeses. Get one 50% off. As if the standard sized Reeses Oreo flavored goes under that. When I said, "yes I can read that but the Reeses Oreo is still Reeses and it's not king sized- it is standard sized. " the man kept on insisting in a very disrespectful tone while to desperately trying to berate me. I'm very sure that this doesn't happen to me in the Granada hills, pacoima nor the Hollywood locations would do that. Not to mention there's always wires all over the place and wet floor sign so I'm very certain that is also a safety hazard for electrical fires. So, I highly recommend any other location than this location. In summary, the staff are extremely disrespectful, they belittle their customers when they point out their poor organizational skills with stock, along with poor attention to their space and not to mention extremely negligible with safety for any guest reassurance. By far the nastiest location for both the service and ambience.

I came when it was not busy and got my drink in under two minutes. However, the person sitting next to me (with the cutest doggie! AMBIANCE AND ENVIRONMENT: The music volume was pretty good. It was low level when the place got busy due to people chatting, machines, ice scooping etc., but when it wasn't so busy, the level was about medium due to the atmosphere being more quiet. The vibes were Mumford and sons, Oasis, Of Monsters and Men, the Head and the Heart, and some classical sprinkled here and there. It is smaller than a chain, but cozy with quite a few seats and table options. I think they did a great job at making the best of the space. The space also encourages community as half of the seating options are shared/shareable. All within an arms reach, which in my personal opinion, is plenty of space. Another thing I noticed is the outlet near the corner table and lounge chairs has a an outlet extender plugged into the wall outlet, but the wall outlet is extremely loose with no faceplate. This can cause electric shock, wiring damage and possible fires. I know from personal experience. It's a real easy and cheap fix that I highlyyy recommend they do ASAP. Just trying to be helpful because I really, really like this spot. FOOD AND DRINKS: I ordered a Hibiscus Berry Blend, as is, iced. It was $5.00 even. It is served in a14 Oz. cup. With ice, it's probably about 12-13 Oz. of drink you're getting. I think it was worth it. The flavor was equal and very nice. Not too fruity, not too watery. It wasn't sweet, due to me not asking for any additional sweetener. As I sat and worked, I heard a lot of other orders and some were very creative. So they do have all those fun drinks people love to indulge in occasionally. They also have classic drip coffee and loose leaf tea. THE REASON WHY I TRIED INICIO: The biggest thing I noticed, being an activist myself involved in many efforts for social justice through my work and personal life, was their mission to erase modern day slavery. Human trafficking is a horrible thing that unfortunately is haooening right before out very eyes. They donate a portion of all food, drink, and catering sales to Justice 180. That is honestly, the reason why I came. I would love to partner with them and invite them to come cater at my center. I plan to spread the word about this place and continue to support them.
