This cafe is a neighborhood favorite, known for its great coffee, fresh pastries, breads, desserts, and an impressively wide menu. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The space itself has character, especially the charming outdoor seating area that makes it a nice spot to relax.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Just my opinion, with a remodel, this cafe can draw in even more foot traffic, and take an already popular place to the next level.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

    $45 for this!!!! Crazy!

I used to always order steak and eggs and comes in a nice big plate with plenty amount of meat. The last 4-5 times things has changed. See photo, that's $45 steak plate!!! I asked for full portion and they claim this is full portion.. look at the photo, 3 eggs and little meat for $45. A bird will not get full from this meat, this is a joke, I understand if this was half price but $45 for this?! I always try to come back and give it a chance I say maybe it's a mistake but always get disappointed. Increase your portion!

I want to like it so much, but I keep having bad experiences here. I realize how hard it is to keep a biz like this going, and I appreciate them for being in the hood. And not every experience has been bad, but 50/50. Today I ordered an egg muffin. It is supposed to have a poached egg. See pic. I realize you think I might drip egg yolk all over my shirt, but I wanted a poached egg, not what I got. Also, the muffin/sandwich was smaller than my lady palm. Eek. And 2 slices of avo for that up charge? C'mon bdb, you have to be better. I believe in you, we need you, I will keep trying. The staff is always very nice and helpful there. Some pastries always deliver like the spicy caramel croissant, yum! If you're a coffee snob like me, don't get it here. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice vibes inside and restrooms.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I've never been to Sunland, but I'm glad this little bakery got me there. Entering after 2p, I encountered an empty place save for one guy at a table. I think there were two girls behind the counter, one kind of greeted me then a guy comes out of nowhere to take my order. Since it was my first time, he was very helpful, letting me know breakfast was served all day, but I had a few other things in mind. From salads to pasta to sandwiches and everything in between, the selection was pretty vast. I decided to go with their grass fed beef sliders (no cheese), and in lieu of the roasted potatoes, I chose fries. For some reason, I also ordered a sunburst tea (this was unsweetened and black tea I believe) which was odd since I rarely order anything but sweet tea. This food was really good! Two sliders and a small portion of fries rounded this out, but it was a perfect size just to hold me over. The only thing was I wasn't offered the different sizes for the beverage, only the medium/large so I would have gone with the small had I known (since I kind of ordered this on the fly, I admit I wasn't sure of the sizes). I'm sure this place is packed on the weekends/breakfast time so I'm glad I showed up when I did. Big parking lot with plenty of spots, sharing with other businesses in the area. Service by the guy was great, and the food was worthy. I wouldn't mind visiting here again for either the same thing, or to try something new.

Their vegan tart is soooooo delicious I'm so going back when I'm in the area again to try other pastries as well. The selection is great and the service is very friendly as well. The coffee was okey, I've had better but I enjoyed the food alot.

I really had a good time. It's been a long time since I posted a review. The service was really good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have outdoor seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Really good food and great bakery goods. They have the most interesting chocolate puddingI've ever had in my life. Absolutely delicious worth making a special trip from lancaster. I will definitely come back. They have raw milk there very hard to find in large amounts to go. We also have some cheeses. They also have some honey too.

First timer. Had good reviews and a place to have a late lunch. But to our surprise, it was trivia night. Every Sunday 4pm-6pm during Theo happy hour Reno hosts trivia night. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Good seating inside and out.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They had a variety of wine, and canned craft brew from a local brewery. They serve breakfast lunch and dinner. On top of that great selection of pastries!!! We had the BLT and a turkey and Swiss. Very friendly and helpful staff. Quick service and yes delicious fresh sandos. But what made it great was Reno, he is a great host and we quickly got into the trivia game. We were too late to join but still had fun guessing. We definitely will be back.

I came when it was not busy and got my drink in under two minutes. However, the person sitting next to me (with the cutest doggie! They're dog friendly, I think ) waited longer than 10 minutes for her drink. However, this was during a rush and when it was probably the busiest in the morning (?) AMBIANCE AND ENVIRONMENT: The music volume was pretty good. It was low level when the place got busy due to people chatting, machines, ice scooping etc., but when it wasn't so busy, the level was about medium due to the atmosphere being more quiet. The vibes were Mumford and sons, Oasis, Of Monsters and Men, the Head and the Heart, and some classical sprinkled here and there. It is smaller than a chain, but cozy with quite a few seats and table options. I think they did a great job at making the best of the space. The space also encourages community as half of the seating options are shared/shareable. All within an arms reach, which in my personal opinion, is plenty of space. Because of this, it encourages you to acknowledge your fellow human being sitting across, or beside you. The environment was clean, bright, and comfortable. The environment feedback I woukd give is perhaps a stronger sun shade in the windows that the bar and stools face. I first sat here but within minutes decide to move because the heat was a bit too much for me. Again! A personal preference. Coffee shops can also naturally get warm due to the energy being used for the machines and refrigerators, so something to consider. The air-conditioning kicked in a little later which helped make it more comfortable. Another thing I noticed is the outlet near the corner table and lounge chairs has a an outlet extender plugged into the wall outlet, but the wall outlet is extremely loose with no faceplate. This can cause electric shock, wiring damage and possible fires. I know from personal experience. It's a real easy and cheap fix that I highlyyy recommend they do ASAP. Just trying to be helpful because I really, really like this spot. FOOD AND DRINKS: I ordered a Hibiscus Berry Blend, as is, iced. It was $5.00 even. It is served in a14 Oz. cup. With ice, it's probably about 12-13 Oz. of drink you're getting. I think it was worth it. The flavor was equal and very nice. Not too fruity, not too watery. It wasn't sweet, due to me not asking for any additional sweetener. As I sat and worked, I heard a lot of other orders and some were very creative. So they do have all those fun drinks people love to indulge in occasionally. They also have classic drip coffee and loose leaf tea. THE REASON WHY I TRIED INICIO: The biggest thing I noticed, being an activist myself involved in many efforts for social justice through my work and personal life, was their mission to erase modern day slavery. Human trafficking is a horrible thing that unfortunately is haooening right before out very eyes. They donate a portion of all food, drink, and catering sales to Justice 180. That is honestly, the reason why I came. I would love to partner with them and invite them to come cater at my center. I plan to spread the word about this place and continue to support them.

The service is super nice and accommodating, all the drinks are hand made and it's a very personal home cafe style spot. The cocoa puffs were also excellent, both of the matcha lattes were super high quality and delicious. The cocoa puffs were the perfect addition to the matcha latte and looked great in photos too. The baklava has a unique pistachio flavor, also not too sweet and perfectly balanced. All of the drinks were super well made, with high quality ingredients. The creative concepts live up to their executions for sure! I highly recommend Starlet for excellent, creative lattes and cozy, intimate service and cafe. As an avid match lover, our family had to try it out and we are always excited to see unique flavors on the menu. We tried out the baklava, blueberry pancake, and berry matcha lattes and all of them had pretty good flavors. The blueberry pancake seemed to standout amongst our three choices with fresh berry flavor and good sweetness level. The baklava was very maple forward and the berry was just fine. The matcha flavor isn't very strong as we would have preferred but it was quite good in comparison to many unique matcha lattes in the area. The shop itself has varying hours and seemed to be Tiktok based, with the employees referring to it when asked about their regular opening and closing times. The menu seems to also have seasonal flavors since a couple that we had seen online and were interested in we're not available. The store front needs a little more work, there's a cooler and some of their supplies visible to the customers, and the seating is limited so prepared to grab and go. But overall this is a cute spot and hopefully they have more consistent hours, and clear signage in the future.

The interior leans minimalist -- lots of white, light wood tabletops, and green plant accents that match the "Monstera" name. It's a calm and comfortable space to sit for a while. They also have board games like chess, Uno, and Jenga, which makes it feel more like a casual hangout spot than just a quick grab-and-go tea shop. What I ordered: Peach Hibiscus tea with rainbow jelly 5 macarons (pistachio x2, vanilla, strawberry, and another flavor everything except caramel) Fried chicken tenders & fries combo They offer 10% off if you follow them on Instagram or Facebook, which brought my total to about $25. The Peach Hibiscus tea ended up being the highlight. It was refreshing and not overly sweet, and the rainbow jelly added a fun texture. I was a little disappointed they were out of boba, since that's usually my go-to topping. The macarons looked nice visually but the flavors didn't quite come through. The pistachio in particular tasted mostly sweet rather than having a distinct pistachio flavor. The shells were also a bit chewy with slightly uneven edges. The fried chicken tenders and fries ended up being the biggest issue. Two guests ahead of me had already been waiting around 30 minutes before I even placed my order. After ordering, it became clear the kitchen hadn't actually started the food yet. I could hear one staff member explaining to another how to make the tenders and mentioning that the process takes about 7 minutes total. Hearing that while watching orders sit unprepared made the delay a bit confusing. The couple ahead of me had ordered about 10 minutes before I did and still hadn't received their food either. The staff seemed to be enjoying themselves and chatting, which is great for morale, but the service side didn't feel very focused on getting orders out in a timely way. Eventually I decided to ask for a refund rather than continue waiting. I also noticed they sell $18 individual cakes that come in small square tins (similar to tiramisu containers). They might taste great, but visually they looked fairly simple, so the price point felt a bit high for what you see. Overall: The space itself is pleasant and the tea was refreshing. It's also nice that they provide games for people to hang out. Unfortunately, between the food delays, items being out of stock, and the feeling that the kitchen wasn't fully prepared yet, the experience ended up feeling like a lot of money spent without much payoff. Personally it's not a spot I'd return to, though the atmosphere may still appeal to people looking for a place to relax and play a game

The cashier said he'd look for a coffee strainer or something like that to hold the red cup. Then I placed my order, the iced ube coconut macchiato. Instead of 2% milk, I wanted oat milk. The cashier couldn't hear me because of the music playing in the background and I wasn't loud enough but he repeated back what he heard. It was right. I started waiting at 11:25 am. The employees are not allowed to touch the red cup because of health reasons which is valid. It took 3 minutes to complete the order. Last time went here was several years ago. There was a grand reopening a year or more ago. It seemed brighter and wider because of the wall color. I think the tables used to be darker and higher but now they're lighter and lower. I had the cashier scan my Starbucks app after paying. The thing is, you should ALWAYS scan your Starbucks Rewards barcode in the app or your registered Starbucks Card before the cashier processes your payment. I had to look that up when I got home because I didn't get any stars. The app could be improved by including more FAQs. Other customers haven't received stars either. A receipt wasn't given so I checked how much money was left on the gift card I used. There was $17.54 before ordering and after ordering it was $10.89. The coffee itself was $6.75 but since I brought the Starbucks red cup I got the $0.10 discount. The macchiato look different from what's on the menu because I was carrying it and walking. I barely taste the ube but that's because the cold foam is made of ube and coconut. So it's supposed to be subtle. I taste more of the coconut but that's because of the flakes and syrup. I'm not a coffee person, but it's alright. The customer next to me asked what it was and the employee that served it said iced ube coconut macchiato.
