Check your receipt when you come they try to scam you any way they can. If I could add 0 stars I would.

From the…read moremoment I walked in, Ashley greeted me with the biggest smile at the register while Bri was crafting drinks behind the bar. Ashley helped me decide between the "Brulee & Beloved" and the "Holy Horchata," and I ended up going with the Brulee & Beloved -- absolutely delicious! By the time I got there around 1 PM, the pastries were sold out, but I did try the Chicken Pesto and it was really good. The whole coffee shop had such a cute, chic vibe. I'll definitely be back... maybe even to work from here for a few hours!

Let's be real... most of us show up needing caffeine and not exactly in the best mood, so that positive energy matters. I initially tried the Orchata and the Garden Golden, and neither one really hit for me. Just not my personal taste. That said, the service alone made me willing to give them another shot and I'm glad I did. I came back and tried Eve's Cup, and that one's the winner for me. I enjoyed every bit of it and it's what will keep me coming back. If I had one critique, it would be the ambiance. It's not bad, but I do think with a little more investment in the decor and overall feel, this place could really stand out and feel even more inviting. That said, decor is secondary coffee and service come first, and they're doing a solid job there. Overall, a spot with great people, good drinks (once you find your go-to), and a lot of potential to level up even more.

As i was on my way back to LA I saw this business was conveniently off the 10 Fwy And decided to stop by for a quick coffee break. I ordered their Spanish Latte and sat down inside to send some work emails. Their Spanish Latte was strong and flavorful. I enjoyed how sweet it was while maintaining the strong coffee notes. Strong wifi and cold AC inside is what you can expect inside. They had music playing but very low volume. Good for people who wanna WFH. I also didn't have trouble finding parking. Plenty of street parking available. The place itself was to busy. Quick service and friendly staff. If i'm ever in the Ontario Area again i will definitely stop by Mestiza again!

Additionally, their prices are reasonable and appropriate. However, I do wish their location were a bit bigger, as it can become quite crowded during rush hours while people wait for their orders. I have noticed they are always changing their indoor seating options to maximize their space. Also, they do close at 5 pm. I hope there are plans for them to stay open later down the line! I always find myself at Mestiza at least once a week! My drink go-tos are the Spanish Latte and their unique Bees & Flowers Latte, depending on my mood. As for pastries (which are ALL delicious), I always walk out with either the strawberry Nutella croissant, the strawberry croissant, or an Alfajor! Whatever you get, you'll 100% enjoy it!!

Only one little round table indoors with some plants for sale and a little bit of merch like candles, whisk for your Matcha, stickers, etc.. There are 3 sets of tables/chairs outdoors to enjoy your treats the person that I spoke to, Lily is a very sweet and kind young lady who answered all my questions I was able to make the decision to finally buy a whisk for my Matcha and she gave me pointers on how to use it. The traditional whisk is made with bamboo, but it's not well utilized commercially because it tends to break off. I chose that one considering I'm only making the Matcha for myself. They use a whisk made with resin in the shop. My Vanilla Bean Dream was so delicious! I opted for Matcha versus coffee as the base, rich, deep and earthy not too sweet. It was the perfect drink for today. Street only parking available from what I gathered. I wish this shop was closer to me then I would frequent it at least once or twice a week. I've NEVER had Thai tea soft serve this good. It's light, creamy, not overly sweet, and doesn't taste fake--just smooth, legit goodness. Like if Thai tea and soft serve had a glow-up. And the toppings?? They understood the assignment. Coco jelly, cereal flakes, grass jelly, AND boba... it's giving texture, it's giving balance, it's giving "I need another one immediately." I finished mine and sat there like... should I? Because I might. Now let's address the boba. I usually don't even like boba (I said what I said), but theirs?? Warm, soft, perfectly chewy... borderline life-changing. Who am I?? The shop itself is a cute little hole-in-the-wall with a sweet, cozy vibe. Service was fast, friendly, and just good energy all around--no stress, no chaos, just vibes. I genuinely wish they had one closer to me because I would 100% be that person pulling up way too often. Very straightforward, but really well balanced. If you've never had chicory coffee before, it has a deeper, slightly earthy flavor that stands out from a standard cold brew without being overly bitter. It feels inspired by Louisiana/New Orleans-style coffee rather than the super sugary "dessert coffee" trend that a lot of places lean into right now. What I especially appreciate is the price point. At around $5.75, it feels reasonable for a specialty coffee drink that still tastes unique and intentional.

I've been to the location in Costa Mesa and remembered having a positive experience there which is why I didn't hesitate to set my navigation to this location. I almost felt like I was walking into a kumbaya and I was inconveniencing the employees interactions. The interior also is so... bare... and looks like they didn't even attempt to try to make the coffeeshop seem or feel cozy and inviting. It's been a while since I've felt like I should have just spent my money on the nearby Starbucks instead of going out of my way to support small businesses.
