Inside, they have a good amount of seating and some seating in an outdoor patio space as well. For their menu, they have a great selection of different coffees, espresso, matchas, and seasonal items. Wifey and I stopped by after lunch and decided to try their Matcha Love and the Butter Beer from the winter menu. Both drinks had a great balance of flavors with the right amount of sweetness and creaminess. Overall, this spot is a gem in the area! All of the staff here are very friendly and welcoming. I visited this location only a few days ago. I enjoyed one of the their seasonal beverages, the mint latte. It was flavored with the Andes chocolate mint candy, and along with the coffee it was very well balanced. The young man that assisted me was amazing, and had great energy. It's a nice spot, where they roast on location. It's definitely a place I can see myself taking time to work while I enjoy one of their many beverage choices. read more

An upland staple! I tried their coco cali seasonal drink and I loved the flavor! The cardamom really popped, which sort of overpowered the coconut and lavender, but no complaints from me because I love a good cardamom latte. Really great drinks/ flavor options! I had the Masarap and it's not overly sweet/ overwhelmed with the coffee flavor. It was a great balance of coffee beans and ube flavor. I love Lucky's! The employees are always so sweet and remember everyone's names. There's plenty of street parking which is convenient, and I'm glad they got an AC unit! Was looking for a place to hang while two of my kids climbed at Hanger 18 this past summer and found Lucky's. Well, I was certainly the lucky one. I walked the Upland Village prior and couldn't find a good place to hang and work. There was one small shop but they had no seating. So, I drove on and found Lucky's. The atmosphere is great. Just was I was seeking. Good sized shop, nicely decorated, and open spaces to hang. My latte was well made - steamed properly, not overly hot and not too cold either. Much better than Starbucks. My favorite part of Lucky's was having a comfortable place to enjoy a drink and a snack while getting some work done. Also, I do like their design and look/feel of the place. read more

Not so LUCKY experience! I really wanted to like this place. I mean, I tried. Twice. But unfortunately, Lucky's hasn't even given me the opportunity. The first time I attempted to check them out was on a Saturday. I was excited, drove 30 minutes out of my way... only to find a handwritten sign on the door saying they were closed for a few days. Okay, sure, things happen. I let it slide. A few weeks later, I mustered up the optimism to try again. This time, I did my due diligence: checked the website and their social media. Everything said they were open until 4 PM. Great! I even placed an online order at 2:30 PM for a 3 PM pickup just to be extra safe. You can probably guess what happened next. I arrived to find the doors locked. Closed. Again. This time, though, I'd already paid and received a confirmation email saying my order was ready for pickup. After knocking and waiting a while, a clearly annoyed employee finally came to the door and told me they closed early. She admitted they forgot to update the system, which is why my order still went through. But when I asked about a refund, she said I'd have to call back tomorrow and talk to a manager, who I have yet to successfully reach. Spoiler: still no refund. Look, it's not about the $18. I'm not losing sleep over two lattes. But closing early without updating your ordering system, then offering zero customer service to fix the mistake? That's just not a good look. My guess? Management has no idea the store is randomly closing early. And that's even worse. Sad to say, but I still haven't tried the coffee and I don't think I'll be trying again. read more

3.5 stars. Stopped by this coffee spot to get some work done since I was in the area. The inside is spacious and bright and has a good amount of tables to work or catch up with friends. Got the London Fog (earl grey tea with milk) and their monthly special pistachio matcha with oat milk. Drinks are average tasting - The London Fog had a great earl grey flavor but was slightly watered down. The pistachio matcha's pistachio syrup tasted a bit artificial. Went for a walk with my friend and she said took me here to try their coffee and was impressed! There's a few coffee places in these parts and most of them are ok, but Lucky's has both great coffee and pastries and a cool space. I noticed they have a lot of indoor seating but no where to plug your phone or laptop which does not make an ideal co-work space. I believe I had their Iced Honey Latte with oat milk and the difference is you taste the coffee and little to no bitterness which is hard to find around these parts. My favorite coffee spot was Portola before they left my neighborhood and I just have not found that quality of coffee drink since...until now. The pastries here are also top tier. My favorite hometown coffee spot is Hidden House and it's because they also have an in-house Baker that makes fresh pastries daily and they have the best almond croissant. I saw the croissants here and already knew these were going to be good. I tried the pistachio croissant just because it was different and while it was good quality I wasn't a fan of the pistachio. I would probably try the savory croissant next since I can't find that anywhere else. Also, they didn't offer to warm up the croissant but I would ask them to as that could make a huge difference. Overall, I love the coffee and will be back to try more and the staff were super nice and helpful. read more

One of the best coffee shops in Upland CA. Plenty of street parking and easy to spot on the outside in downtown. The place itself has a couple of seating high top and a long table and a couch area. It would be nice to have more table seating in here. The high top tables are awesome with a lamp and outlets for each table. They have two outdoor tables with umbrellas. Wifi and restrooms are available. Clean feel and look inside. The coffee is unique with different flavors each season so your always trying something new. This place has some pretty good coffee. We stopped by a few weeks ago on a whim and my wife got a blush while I got a mocha. The mocha was spot-on but the blush was an unexpected surprise. My wife ordered it without the vanilla syrup and it was just about right! Had just the right amount of sweetness and the floral notes came through quite well. We weren't able to stay too long or try anything else so we'll have to see what else is on the menu when we return. read more

Towards the end of the historic downtown Upland, what a gem of a coffee shop! The service was stellar. I came in to look at the menu while my partner was outside with the dog. The cashier/barista was super friendly and said to let them know if I had any questions. After I took a look at the menu, I was asked if I was ready to order which I said I needed to go swap watching the dog and the cashier shared that dogs are allowed inside since they don't serve food, but the doggo did not want to come inside I was deciding between an espresso mule and the April kisses. Honestly, I wanted both, but I ended up ordering the April Kisses. The cashier also let my partner know that dogs can come inside or she could take the menu back outside, after she came inside. My partner shared that our dog didn't want to come in, so after my partner ordered, the cashier/barista said they'd bring the drinks out to us where we were waiting . My partner got the lavender matcha and liked it, however, we both agreed mine was very tasty! As the description suggested, it's like a chocolate covered strawberry. It's also unlike most coffee drinks we typically order. The mocha itself was also confirmed to be dairy free since I have a dairy allergy. Service and drinks are both 10/10!
