I was craving coffee and saw Better Buzz Coffee nearby. It had been on my radar for a while and this was a good opportunity to try it out. I like that there is a drive-thru, but you also have the option to order at the window. I wanted something that wasn't too sweet and asked for recommendations. The worker who took my order suggested the vanilla bean oatmilk iced espresso. Afraid that the normal 2 shots of espresso may be too much for me, I requested just 1 shot. The verdict: I liked the taste of my iced coffee, but I think I should have kept the 2 espresso shots to have a more robust coffee flavor. The sweetness level was perfect for my tastebuds. read more

Crazily enough, I got a reward offer for a free drink in the app, so what better time to give the place a try? We visited in the evening. There were a couple parties seated outside at their available tables and chairs. There were also several cars in the drive thru. We opted for the drive thru. The place is really cute! The staff were very friendly and helpful! For the free drink, I got a banana matcha and it was delicious! My youngest got the blueberry lavender lemonade refresher with extra blueberries. Hers was probably the best drink we got! My oldest got the prickly in pink mojito energy drink. Hers was good, but they informed me they ran out of whatever makes the drink pink, so it looked a little pale and she was bummed out about that, lol! We love our Upland Better Buzz! We just came back from another trip to SD and of course stopped at other Buzz locations, but none compare to our small but mighty one here in our city. Whoever does the hiring for this location should get kudos because customer service here is always top notch! Today Hayley helped us at the drive thru and she went above and beyond. This is my second visit to this location, and I tend to park my car instead of going through the drive thru. There are only four parking spots where you turn into the drive thru, unless you park on the street. I always walk up to the window and there are 6 outdoor tables to sit and hang out. The ordering window is right next to the pick up window. Makes me wonder what it is like when it is raining! The girls who I saw take my order are very busy in the morning with the influx of orders coming from online and drive thru. They are always prepping while making food and drinks. My first time here they weren't as kind, but today's barista was very sweet and took the time to ask me how I'm doing. I ordered the banana best drink ever previously and wasn't a fan. I just normally stick to the best Drink Ever and add the cinnamon cold foam on top for $1. It's sweet with a perfect amount of caffeine. My go to food item is also their chili crisp breakfast wrap! I stopped by Better Buzz Coffee in Upland at 5am since I work early mornings. Unfortunately, I waited a few minutes before being acknowledged by a staff member who had just clocked in, and I did see one other staff member but she didn't seem to pay attention to anyone at the walk up window. Outside tables needed a wipe down but overall I'm certain it's a chill place to hangout and enjoy drinks and food. Music is a bit loud but good and gets the morning going. If you're on a tight schedule like I usually am, I'd definitely recommend placing your order online ahead of time or going through the drive-thru. That seems to be the smoothest option, especially during those early hours. One thing I've noticed is that when I order online, I don't always receive my rewards points, which is a bit frustrating. I had heard all the buzz about this place, so I decided to stop by on a random afternoon to get my caffeine boost and finish up work on my laptop. Honey, they were not lying! The coffee is sooooo good. It took me a minute to actually understand the menu, but the barista was very helpful in describing the drinks. There isn't much of a walk-up line, but the drive-thru line seems to be constant. That said, I felt a bit rushed to make my choice, though no one was behind me. I went with the Banana Pudding Best Drink Ever, which is appropriately named. The first sip was 100/10, and every sip after was equally delicious! To eat, I ordered the Feta Avocado Deluxe Toast, and while the bacon and avocado were yummy, I regret purchasing it. It was OK and highly overcharged. In all, I spent a bit over $20 on both items, so I definitely felt disappointed when the toast was mid. The overall space is very clean and well maintained, and I love their branding. The WiFi was easy to connect to, but there is no indoor seating; they do have some outdoor tables. I happened to go during what I assume was a semi-informal gathering of upper management, and I left after about 45 minutes because I felt a bit uncomfortable with the information they were discussing quite loudly, and I didn't have my headphones with me. The reason I gave them 2 stars was solely on the great customer service that the person had that was taking my order. Now for my order i would give negative stars if I could! I ordered feta avocado deluxe toast and a large best drink ever with an extra add shot! The toast was not toast it was a soggy piece of bread with avocado and messing fixings on top! With the avocado the bread just got even more soggy, definitely not appetizing. The coffee was an iced coffee but since they only added about 3 iced cubes it turned out to be a warm coffee. Less than a 5 minute drive and the app makes it super easy to order ahead and the drinks are usually ready right when we pull up to the 3 car parking lot (2 of the 5 spots are handicap) lol. I have had to wait for a parking spot once but I realized I probably could have just done the drive thru which looks like it moves fast. Back to the drinks, they're all good. I have had a few iced drinks and a few hot lattes. Love that they are customizable with the sugar. Service has always been good. After fasting and visiting a local lab for a blood draw, I was starving and weak from lack of caffeine. Happy to see a Better Buzz right down the street so I made my way over to get my buzz on. Not going to lie, seeing a security guard and orange road cones right at the entrance kind of threw me, but I drove in anyway without stopping. Hopefully, security is there just to direct traffic rather than stop coffee fighting. There are very limited parking spaces if you plan to use the walk up window. I counted 8 total I believe including the disabled parking. This can be tricky with the DoorDash peeps coming and going. There is also limited seating outside, but as long as people don't camp out there to do homework or office work, you should be able to find a seat to enjoy your drink and maybe some fumes from the drive thru. The drink menu is huge. Drinks are available hot or cold, and their food menu is impressive for a small coffee stop. Because I am a boring coffee drinker, I almost want to come moreso for the food than drink. All kinds of bowls, breakfast sammies, yummy sounding toasts, pastries, etc. My order was a hot Hazelnut Divinity (a white chocolate mocha with hazelnut) and a chili crunch breakfast wrap. The drink was tasty, but as usual a bit too sweet for my liking. I drank half and saved the rest for later. Sugar free options here would be a bonus, but next time I should just stick with a basic espresso or Americano. The wrap was delicious. However, I would like some extra chili crunch. Next time! I heard through the grapevines that a new coffee joint has opened up in Upland. I had to come check them out. I came here one evening about an hour before closing time. Love the biz name, Better Buzz Coffee! I would have loved to walk up, but since it was dark and late, I went through the drive-thru. Exterior looked very cute with the bright bee and western style decor. Drive-thru menu had a great selection of various drinks. The gentleman who took my order was kind to offer his top 3 drinks. Hazelnut Divinity was one of them. That's what I got. I asked for easy ice, but I felt it was heavy ice. Anyway, it tasted really really good. Nice hazelnut flavor. If you're craving that Better Buzz then look no more because this is way nicer than what Starbucks does! Came on a Monday morning and this place was popping! I've been to their other locations and was a little disappointed to find out this place didn't have an inside area to hang out. You just walk up to the order window or go to the drive thru which is pretty small. The parking situation is a bit confusing as well. Like any new spot, there will be some hiccups. They need to figure out a better system for calling out drinks because they were getting everyone's orders mixed up. Saw that this opened up in my neighborhood and definitely needed to check out this location. I didn't realize that it is a drive thru and walk up window only. There are a few seats in front of the walk up window but no inside seating available. I went to the drive thru on a rainy day. Their staff was out in the rain taking orders from a very long drive thru line. For being outside in the rain, the gal was super nice and helpful with the menu. I got an iced Best Drink Ever and an iced vanilla latte with oat milk. I really liked the drinks. The latte was creamier than the Best Drink Ever. I wanted to try their toasted marshmallow but it was sold out. I'll definitely go back and try for that again some other time. I also ordered an almond croissant and it was yum!
