Please, if you are a female by yourself DO NOT come to this store early in the morning. I was shopping here between 7-7:15am and was followed throughout the entire store by multiple homeless people. There was barely any staff in the store at that time. They really need security there at all times. I will not be returning to this location after that terrifying experience. read more

A rough experience so far. Placed a fried chicken order a week in advance for an 11:30am pick-up, came in the day before and prepaid as requested (which took me another 30 minutes in store just to get the ticket to pay).. Arrived at exactly 11:30, was told that the order is still being made, wait 10 minutes. Now its 11:45 still waiting. This was ordered for a work potluck, but now I'm late for that bc Staters couldn't deliver their product at the requested time. I always shop here always, since I was a kid. But today I had pleasure of seeing how the manager treats her employees. Talking down to your employees in front of customers is highly unprofessional. You think she would've learned this before she became a manager. Today buying at stater brothers (Holt and San Antonio) I saw more than 5 people from adults to children NO WEARING A MASK. Even though in California is not mandatory in all places, when you are goin inside a business as a super market, laundry or any kind of indoor business you HAVE TO WEAR A MASK for your own safety and for others. I asked the manager and he mentioned that it was optional for customers (but that is a misguided information) I will come back and show him this information, I was so surprised he did not act as requested by the government. please, for you own sake and the sake of others. Went to pick up a few grocery items this morning. Was assisted on terminal 5 by cashier number 7192897(Maria), and a young man named Alek was assisting with bagging. They were both extremely friendly and very helpful. Maria insisted that Alek escort me to my vehicle to assist with loading a case of water, which he did along with my other grocery items. Alek is a very friendly, courteous and helpful young man, great customer service from both of them! Usually my feedback is on a positive note. This time is different. A bit of background, a couple weeks ago my son (4th grader) had a career day at his school, When I picked him up that day he was so exited to tell me all bout Stater Brothers history and how Store manager Maria went in and told the class all about her role at our local Stater Brothers (Store#108) She brought the class an awesome string backpack pack with their logo apple, and a gift card! She was very kind he said and even invited the students to stop by and say hello, Well we did I took my son after school yesterday along with his new baby twin brothers to say hello and get something with his gift card, As we were there I decided to get some quick dinner, a family fried chicken meal from the deli. I waited for the associate to acknowledge me as she had her back turned making yogurt parfaits, she turned and asked for a couple minutes. I was ok with that I responded " Ok thank you" ( I did not get a chance to get her name) Well she came over and assisted me. I asked for the 8 piece chicken , there were a couple pieces left, not fresh as expected, the last of that batch. Luckily another associate "Angela" came out with a fresh batch and was re stocking the tray right next to us, I asked if I could please get some chicken from the fresh batch she was placing, She looked at me and said " ITS THE SAME CHICKEN AS THAT ONE" I said I would rather purchase the fresh chicken for my family. Both ignored me and continued packing. As I'm standing there waiting for my meal they BOTH just left and walked to the bac kitchen, literally leaving us standing there without a word. I turned around and I saw a cashier walking our way, I stopped her and asked if she can do me a favor and go to the back and ask the ladies If they were able to assist me with my chicken, I was so confused. Well cashier went to the back and asked and Angela came out and when I tell you she looked to MAD/Bothered , I cant begin to explain. Her first words were, " IALREADY TOLD YOU ITS THE SAME DAMN CHICKEN" I looked at her shocked with my son right next to me. I said I asked for the fresh chicken you just brought out, She responded "WE ALREADY BXED YOUR CHICKEN! ITS THE SAME THING" I then responded , I'm sorry if you already boxed it but i informed you when you were placing the new one in and I was ignored, She responded again "ITS THE SAME THING STILL CHICKEN" I was sooo shocked! I asked her " So I'm not able to et the fresh batch? I haven't even touched the bag order that was placed on the glass counter yet" She looked at me rolled her eyes sighted and opened the box and literally THREW the old chicken in the tray and threw in the fresh chicken in the box ( I HOPE there's camera footage so you can see I'm not exaggerating this situation) I then said, Why are you being so mean about it, And she again said : " It was already Boxed, So i did say " There's no need for you to be so rude" There was anther associate stocking avocados right next to us he turned but didn't say anything. I proceeded to go to check out , Register 1 and a very nice cahier Kia I believe her name was asked me what was wrong and I explained what had happened. She was just as shocked nd apologized and did mention that Angela is the MANAGER for that department. I was even more Shocked. She did mention that store manager Maria was not in that day but her name is on the receipt. My son proceeded to tell the cashier all bout how he wished she was there because Maria was so nice nothing compared to Angela. I would of maybe let this situation pass but my son was so exited for this little "field trip to the grocery store" and he had to experience this awful customer service. For Angela it may just be something minor, but experiences like this can really ruin someone's day. We can all agree that the prices at Stater Brothers are a bit higher than other near by stores but we have always preferred going to Stater Brothers because of the great customer service, Well that has unfortunately changed yesterday. read more

We are new to the neighborhood and have been coming to this Stater Bros. for about 2 months and really do enjoy the customer service we have been receiving by the staff We especially love the upbeat and outgoing personality of Abrion. Store is nice, bright, clean and well stocked with grocery items along with friendly, courteous, professional employees. I can always count on them to have what I need or suggest what meat to cook low and slow. They have a large parking lot and plenty of baskets with wipes located nearby. read more

Today came in just to get 1 can of milk. Got to the express checkout and im the first in the line. The cashier name is luke i believe.. he try to open the sliding door to get the milk but the keys does not work. No one has the right key to open by that time.so he has to call supervisor. And there couple people behind me starting to line up. Then luke told me to stay on the side while waiting for the supervisor. And then , there one lady came up wear black jacket ( young black lady) she is the supervisor i believe. But i couldnt remember her name. So she got the milk out. And put it right in the counter and told me i have to go back to line up with an attitude... I was like are you serious i was waiting ahead of everyone. And i only get 1 can of milk , why cant you help me real quick with that? Why have to help people behind me first woth more groceries in their cart? Its not gonna take more than 5 minutes to check me out. And luke just walked away didnt even say any word. I got pissed off.. good thing the next cashier just finished checked out customer. As I was checking out I overheard one of the managers talking to another employee about how she drinks on her lunch and has come to work drunk. I come here about once per week, ( I know I'm not there best customer or the big spender customer) but do visit at least once per week, use to buy their bulk bacon from the butcher counter (but not lately because is too high now) I'm not happy with what I got today, today was or is my day to cook, wife cooks Monday-Saturday and Sundays is my day to cook, and today I made steak and shrimp fajitas, and they happen to have the flap meat on sale,,,,BUT LET TELL YOU (STATER BROS) don't put something on sale and give us low quality stuff, or second to best, the meat had to much of the fat/membrane or what ever is called, it just makes the meat taste like crap and is so damn tuff to bite or eat, had to trim it off cause there was so much of, have to say besides that set back, meat came out tender and good, but did loose 15%-20% of my meat do to this bad part that I had to trim off. I just want to say that the young lady in produce is always very nice and helpful. Believe her name is Lupe if I remember correctly. She was kind enough to check in the back to see if she had anymore collard greens because the ones they had out weren't looking very nice for what I needed them for. She even helped me pick them and opened the bags for me. This young lady also was very nice in answering my questions about the prices for certain things that I couldn't see. You don't see great customer service like this anymore. Will continue shopping here and coming back to this Staters produce department for the great customer service from Lupe. read more
