My good friend and fellow Yelpie Elite, Coco found this tea room. When we hang out it's usually at a tea house. This one happens to be in downtown Upland. In this economy it's tough to stay open especially when there's another tea room right down the street. I really hope they both stay open . This one is a bit smaller and has a French cafe vibe with outdoor seating. We had reservations but came early and were seated right away. The staff consisted of husband and wife. They were both very kind and helpful but towards the end of our tea they kind of disappeared and it wasn't very busy. She recommended the seasonal strawberry covered chocolate tea and this was the best tea I've ever had. It didn't need any sugar. 10/10. The salad was also very good with watermelon chunks.10/10 The tomato Bisque soup was also very tasty. 10/10. Everything else was average. The tea sandwiches didn't wow me. Some of them were hard from sitting out awhile. This is a great place to bring the girls and have tea party. We stumbled upon their photo booth accidentally as I was taking pictures for this review. The owner mentioned it and took our photo. Bravo! I'll be back!

I wanted to do this review quickly after the recent visit here along with my wife. A while back we had tried making reservations for a different tea house in the area and after multiple attempts and them getting extremely rude with me over the phone, a quick search came across Coterie and I am glad it did. The staff here was extremely courteous and kind to us throughout. We had arrived 15 minutes prior to opening and were standing outside taking a few photos when the gentleman working here along with his wife popped out and greeted us. We informed them we had reservations and were early and despite them not yet being open, they asked that we came in and promptly seated us at our designated table and began the service. This was a great start for me as its so rare to find these moments. The team menu is a bit smaller than other tea rooms I have been to but the flavor options were diverse and they also had a large number of decaffeinated teas to choose from as well. Both my wife and I went with the Queen Sheila service which consisted of all the normal fare plus soup and salad. For my tea I went with the Dragonfruit Dream while my wife opted for the Marigold Hibiscus. Both teas were really good but my wife's did ten to be a bit on the sweeter side which she hadn't expected. We were quickly given scones along with cream and jam and I can say these were some of the better scones I have had. I am NOT a fan of scones as they are typically too flaky and dry but these were perfect and full of flavor. My wife also complimented the lady running the place on these as well as she too was pleasantly surprised by these. Both the soup and salad came out next and were absolutely delicious. My wife was a bit confused at first by one of these and almost made an oopsie but she quickly realized the error of her ways and remedied before disaster arose. I will not call her out for her mistake but it was funny and stressful at that moment. The rest of our tower came out shortly thereafter and consisted of an egg salad sandwich, a chicken salad sandwich, cucumber and cream cheese sandwich, a chocolate caramel brownie, a chocolate and raspberry cake as well as some fresh fruit. All of this was delicious as well. The pricing here for the highest tea service we received is $38 per person which was quite reasonable for everything we received. I would definitely come back here for another service. The staff was also very accommodating with any questions any patrons had as well. Please note that they do not offer gluten free or vegan options but vegetarian options are available for those who want it. This was a for sure win for me.

Great place to celebrate any special occasions! We had a wonderful time it felt like we were in our home. Host was very nice and kind the food was delicious and the tea was the best part. Definitely will be coming back.

Place was completely empty when I got there. And supposedly they were "completely" booked

This place is disappointing... I called allllll week to book a reservation and no one called back or even answered my phone call (number on Yelp). On the voice mail it clearly states to TEXT for reservations. After not getting any confirmation, I decided to walk in. The hours say 11am.. when I got there it was closed Sunday at that time. I came back at noon, and they finally opened.. mind you they had no clients.. I asked if they took walk ins and they said they were completely booked.. I let the man know that I had tried to make reservations all week and no one answered. I literally wanted to cry, since it was my friend special bday. They NEED to update whatever system they are following. This place would be more successful if they did. As a restaurant owner myself I would never want to turn away business because of lack of communication or incorrect hours.

I came just before Christmas with my daughter and we had a special time!! I think this is now my 6 th time here and planning to come back for sure! We loved the cranberry scones! The lunch is light not for those that are really hungry but satisfying and fresh! The service is great and always pleasant. The reservation process is the hardest part.

What a lovely place with an even more lovely owner! My bestie and I are huge fans of tea houses, and she's had her eye on Coterie for some time now. Jeannette (the owner) had recently moved to this larger location, and my bestie was able to snag us a last-minute reservation. Most reservations require a minimum of 2 weeks out to book, and you text to request your date and time slot. Our tea date arrived and we were pleasantly greeted by Jeannette and her husband upon our arrival and were seated. The menu was presented to us in a book, which is a unique idea! We had fun going around the table seeing who had what novel. We ordered "The Coterie" ($29 per person) and "The Versailles" ($33 per person). Everything was DIVINE! We absolutely loved the yummy tea selection as well. Our top tea recommendations are the maple creme oolong and the sweet honey green tea. The tea room was decorated in an elegant manner and felt very relaxed. Jeannette came around and chatted with us, which was such a joy. She's an incredibly talented and kind woman and we're so happy we found and had the pleasure of enjoying her tea room. Highly recommend and we look forward to returning. Thanks, Jeannette, for a happy and memorable visit.

I have been here a few times and it is so absolutely enjoyable! I highly recommend visiting this tea house, enjoying a little glass of champagne, the sandwiches the scones and the tea as well as the owner is absolutely wonderful! Don't bypass this hidden gem!

We had an amazing time there for my daughter's 17th birthday! They had a caramel macchiato coffee so of course, I had to try that. It was so good! Food was great and my favorite was the coconut lemon cake. Service was excellent! Love the husband and wife duo! The place is so cute inside and they have the funnest photo op! We can't wait to come back.

The pictures say it ALL!!!! This place truly takes you away to all things Paris and Beauty. Food, Service and Atmosphere all EXCELLENT.

Such a gem of a place! I had my babyshower here a few weeks ago. Jeanette, her husband and Stephanie are so sweet and made the planning process easy. My babyshower was beautiful and the afternoon tea theme was perfect. My guests loved the tea and all the yummy mini sandwiches, scones and desserts. The decor was/is stunning and their Photo Booth is the cutest! Thank you to Jeanette and Stephanie for all your help with my babyshower -- it was beautiful and I'll definitely be returning very soon!

This place always has excellent service and incredible tea selection. I find the quality of their tea better than Huntington and have liked all the options I have ordered so far. The place transports us with its beautiful decor and ambiance. My daughter loves this place!

If you are looking for a cozy, intimate tea room with deliciously yummy homemade food for some quiet reflection and heartfelt sharing--this is it. I love that the food is lovingly made according to the mood and inspiration in the moment with careful, meticulous thought and preparation. I spent some time living on a vintage main street on the East Coast and have been looking for that feeling again of slow, strolling nostalgia and gentle sentimentality here in Los Angeles. The attention to detail to everything is incredible and amazing. You really feel the emotion and the intention of the owner. My friend took me here and we had The Queen Sheila Tea, which was $38 per person. I'm not sure what I loved more--the rich, crumbly, yet silky and smooth scones or the melt-in-your-mouth toffee that I kept nibbling. Everything was very very good and we chose the tea with rose and vanilla and a caramel macchiato. So, if you need a moment to allow yourself to slow down and reflect and heal, I know you'll find it here. This tea room would also be great for a small private party to share those milestone moments.

Are children allowed? I would like to take my 3 and a half year old

I believe the minimum age is like 6 or 7. The thing is they have many pretty one of a kind and breakable cups and teapots. Also, it is not a very large place. So, it's not a place for young children that like to run around.

It's tradition for my daughters and I to go out to breakfast on Mother's Day prior to going to church. We got here about 5 minutes after they opened and there was already a line inside! Very popular place! The line moved quickly and we placed our order at the register. They call your name when your order is ready and my daughters were kind enough to go pickup everything. There's tables inside and outside and we chose the large corner booth inside. It's very clean and roomy inside with minimal decor. The owner brought over cookies for the moms, and brought out cups of iced water for those who needed them. Great hospitality and service! I was tempted to get the Ube pancakes, but I had been eyeing the lilikoi French toast all week, so I went with that and a cappuccino. Also got a side of bacon and eggs. My oldest got the buttermilk pancakes and my youngest got the chocolate chip buttermilk pancakes and an iced matcha + honey with strawberry cold foam. Everything was wonderful! They make their own bread for their French toast and the passion fruit curd from scratch! Wow! So good! The strawberries were also super fresh. The bacon was cooked perfectly--nice and crispy! Great Local Bakery With Fresh Bread & Friendly Service…read more I was visiting my mom in Upland and was looking for a bakery when I came across this spot. The reviews were great, and now I see why. I went on a Friday, apparently their busiest day so a lot of items were already sold out, which is always a good sign. I picked up some Hawaiian rolls and a sourdough loaf, and they even sliced the bread for me right there. When we tried everything at home... wow. So fresh and delicious! They also offered some sandwich rolls that I'm excited to try next time. This is a small, family-owned bakery tucked away in a quiet strip mall, and they offer a nice variety: rolls, sourdough, bagels (the jalapeño cheese bagel is on my list for next visit), and more. They even make custom orders like numbers or bread rings for parties. They accept credit cards and Zelle (no tap or Apple Pay), and parking is easy. The girl who helped me was super friendly and made the experience even better. I'll definitely be coming back to try more of their items!
