a gas pump at a gas station
    Daniel F.

Be careful when you come to this gas station/ convenient store. They try to rip you off. Not sure if it's done purposely, but how can this happen. I bought gas and my total came too $34.13 but had to get a receipt from inside. When I went in they said my transaction was $60 and I said no, the pump says $34.13 and I did the math for how many gallons I got and it matched. They couldn't print me my receipt so he just printed a bunch of others and asked which one I want. I took one that was close just so I can show/prove I was there for work purposes. Later I happened to look at my statement and they charged me $48.20. So made a trip down there and they told me I had to come back and talk to manager. They refused to call him that night. So I had to make a third trip in the morning and he was giving every excuse possible. He finally gave me cash back to make up difference. Make sure they charge you what it shows on pump.

This place could be so good because it's right off the freeway but There is no bathroom even for paying customers. It is forever in repair.

I felt awake after sipping. It's TASTY, fresh coffee! (Important: Cash is not accepted. Bring Card or Contactless Payment.) I arrived at Grid Coffee (Diamond Bar) on Thursday (around 9:17AM). Parking is easy. The lot is spacious and big. However, this business has awful visibility; it's very easy for new guests to overlook it. But like a strongly guarded secret, this business is POPULAR. Staff is efficient and amicable. Staff is polite and knowledgeable, but Staff is also curt and very focused on crafting their coffee. My coffee took four minutes and 26 seconds. As mentioned, I ordered the Madagascar Vanilla Caffe Latte ($7 - Large - Iced). When thoroughly stirred, the coffee's true flavor blossoms. The potency becomes balanced, and the taste of vanilla & roasted coffee lithely intertwine. The aftertaste is reminiscent of a smoky caramel. There's utility and personality in this freshly brewed coffee. It's easy to understand why this spot is so popular. On ambiance, Grid Coffee (Diamond Bar) is a study/work paradise. Unlike the tiny outside, the interior is unexpectedly spacious. There's about six electrical outlets. There's also customer internet with password; details are in small text on the counter's menu. The location also has about four tables, one long wooden table, and five mini portable tables. In addition, Grid Coffee (Diamond Bar) is clean, well-maintained, and well-ventilated. There's a gender neutral restroom in the back, and the music is chill & calm. The location is filled with working college students whispering about Harvard and preparing for the future. Overall, I found unexpected joy at Grid Coffee (Diamond Bar). The coffee is affordable, good quality, and functional. The location is comfortable and calm. If searching for a wonderful study/work spot, this is a very easy recommendation. 4.8 out of 5!

For the pastries, it looked like a lot of the ones I was hoping from browsing online were not available. I ended up getting the biscoff cheesecake. It was on the sweeter side but it was very good. For the drink, I ended up getting the banana latte. Been on a streak of getting that lately so wanted to compare with other stores. I didn't get a lot of banana in the taste. At least it had an espresso shot for the caffeine fix and did not taste like the artificial banana. Nothing special there and stand out. For the interior, they had a few seating they primarily accommodated a few groups of four and two. I was able to grab a bench seat that had an outlet. However, there wasn't enough space for my laptop and the items I ordered. WiFi was available but it had a 90 minute limit. The store had a moderate noise level and stayed busy throughout the time that I was there. The service on the order was quick and they do bring it out to you. The store also has their own house espresso which was a medium dark roast. American Express is accepted as a payment option here. Overall, it was a decent work spot. If I come back, I'd prefer to try another drink and hope other pastries are available. Would recommend the biscoff cheesecake for those that want something sweet and the house coffee beans for those that like medium roasts.

They smeared Biscoff spread on the cup and used just enough syrup so that I could taste the cookie butter but not to the point where it was overly sweet. In fact, I would argue that it wasn't that sweet at all and the espresso was a lot stronger. There were a few cookie crumbs at the bottom too so I'm not sure if they incorporated it in the syrup or if it just sank to the bottom by the time I got my drink. I also tried the hot horchata latte but it seemed more like a regular latte sprinkled with cinnamon powder because there didn't seem to be any syrup. I loved the vibes on the rainy Monday I visited and a lot of people were in there working or studying, since there were outlets against the wall. The workers were nice and approachable, and the drinks came out quickly.

Truth be told, CBTL is not usually the first thought of a coffee shop to stop by as there are so many better coffee shop options around, especially mom and pop ones in Diamond Bar. My friend commented that she had not been to a CBTL in like 8 years, and after our visit, probably won't be to another CBTL until another 8 years later. I agree, as I just do not prefer their coffee (and their prices)... When we stepped inside, there was no greeting, nothing. Yes, they were all busy but no acknowledgement. After standing at the cashier for a few minutes, were we finally acknowledged. They were not short-staffed by the way. After ordering, I asked for the code for the restroom. The restroom was incredibly dirty with no tissue paper, and the lock did not even work! I think the battery was out since it kept beeping... I tried locking it a few times to be extra sure, but nope it did not work as another customer almost came in as I was using the restroom. The one thing that makes me usually stay away is their use of powders in their drinks. Powders do not dissolve better than syrups, liquid forms, so sometimes drinks can separate. After ordering their cup of coffee, I was put off by them handing me individual cups of half & half. Not from an actual container where I can pour the half & half, individual cups, like a McDonald's or a fast food restaurant. At the cost of their coffee drinks, one would expect something different. There was plenty of parking on a weekend. Easy in and easy out. There are a few tables on the inside to enjoy your coffee and items. There are no napkin dispensers so I guess one would need to ask them for napkins as well.

Delicious Jeju Matcha Latte!!…read more I got the Jeju Matcha Latte. My first impression was that the color of the matcha was a beautiful green color, and the cup sleeve was so cute! The drink itself was so good! The matcha latte is a bit more bitter than regular Japanese matcha lattes, but it was still very good. I got mine with oat milk so the flavor was more enhanced. The cafe had tons of seating and tables, and it was very clean. There were a handful of people studying, and there was still a ton of seating. The dessert display had lots of options, and it all seemed very stocked up for a Saturday afternoon. There's merchandise, stickers, and coffee grounds sold in the shelves against the wall. The employee was kind and patient. I took a while looking at the menu, and he was patient. He made the drink, and he made it very quickly using the matcha whisk. I would come here again! There was a good drink selection on the menu, and the dessert stock was a lot better than the one in Cerritos.
