0 stars if I could. The cashier should be arrested. Came in for gas. Prepaid with a 100 dollar bill. Gas cost me $32.50. I'm expecting $67.50 change. Nope. Not here. The lady gives me $62.02. I look at my reciept and voila, tjere is a charhe for a pack of gum that costs $5.09 plus 39 cents tax. When I tell her I only bought gas, she looks confused. Asks me about said gum. The old lady at the front got so flustered because i asked for a slice of pizza. Cussed the entire time under her breath. And as soon as she charged me she charged me a WHOLE pizza and then couldn't even give me my refund. Manager estimated my refund and gave me $5 with the little information he had. The stores been recently remodeled. I have to say out of all the 7-Eleven's I've been to this one has the most impressive coffee and tea Station of any of them. Pretty impressive to see two different types of honey packaged lemon and they even have a cooler for their creamers. The employees work very hard on keeping everything well-stocked and clean. I definitely will be a regular customer. Got to give them two thumbs up! FYI ample parking not to mention eight gas pumps. Very easy access to the intersection of Balboaand convoy. read more

This 7-Eleven is a newer location located on the corner of Balboa Avenue and Convoy Street. It used to be a Union 76 Gas Station. I thought I had already checked in and reviewed this place, but apparently not. Anyhow, I came here the other late night to use their ATM. Since I am a credit union member I have free use of all 7-Eleven ATMs... pretty convenient. I like that this 7-Eleven has a digital display for their gas prices. Easier to see especially at night. I've noticed that their gas prices are comparable to the 7-Eleven on Convoy. The fact that there are a bunch of gas stations in the vicinity means lower gas prices, since all these places are contending for business. So the store was nice and clean. It looks smaller than the Convoy store. Nevertheless, it appears to be stocked with the essentials you'd normally find at a 7-Eleven. This is your typical 7-Eleven. read more

I just came here to get quick snacks for myself, I was 8 month pregnant that time. I got their hotdogs from the heat roller, and a bag of chips. The bread was in the bag underneath the heat roller, but there was no tong or anything to grab the bread. Not even the plastic gloves. EWW. I had to ask the employe for the gloves, and he pointed out the donuts area to grab the glove. The attitude was so RUDE too ! Anyways, I started to eat the hotdog a few minute after I had left, I realized that the sausage was not hot, not even warm. It wasn't cold, but I could tell the heat roller was definitely not working. I was too lazy to go back to the store for a exchange or refund, so I stopped eating and threw it away. A few hours later when I came back to my house, I had a HORRIBLE stomachache, and nausea came over to all of my body. Like, I am very healthy person and I'm almost never experienced this before. I literally was crawling on the floor and started crying and calling for the help for my family members. They kept asking me if I needed to go hospital especially because I was pregnant. I stayed in the bathroom for almost 1 hour and had crazy diarrhea and had to throw up so much. Yes, you know what I saw in the toilet bowl...(I'm so sorry for being nasty )HOTDOG !! I finally started to feel better a while later and didn't need to go hospital. But it was definitely one of my worst food poisoning ever. Avoid this 7-11 ! I never thought I'd be leaving a review for 7-11, but it turns out that being a grown-up and working at 8am requires a constant supply of coffee. I come here almost daily for either iced or hot coffee, and I've literally never had a bad experience here. The manager remembers me and always greets me (this is both awesome and embarrassing), and the other associates are always friendly without being obnoxious, considering I don't want to talk that much at 7:30am. The coffee is delicious, a third of the price of starbucks, and comes in a bunch of yummy flavors. I usually get the hazelnut or french vanilla, but if you dig sweets you should try out the blueberry flavor. Since it's warmed up outside I've been getting the iced coffee, which is also tasty and works just as well to keep me zooming around during my long days at work. Additionally, I've recently discovered that their fresh pastries are AMAZING! Try the blubbery cobbler muffin or the coffee roll. I gotta give this 7-11 props, I'm in and out in 5 minutes, never have trouble parking, and my fare is always pretty dang good considering I picked it up from a convenience store. read more

I go to several 711 stores in San Diego county on a regular basis. This one on balboa and convoy is far superior than the rest. The owner is engaging with all his customers which I see he sets a great example for his employees. Furthermore the manager Kimmie also does the same. I always see her sweeping moping cleaning stocking the shelves. She is proactive in making sure things are done correctly. The cashiers are pleasent and have a great attitude. The new grave yard girl is a hard worker and nice.This store should be a model for others. Many others stores are dirty and disorganized. Not this one. At the corner of Balboa Ave and Convoy St, so it's very convenient if you're in the area. Easy in and out access, 3 entrances/exits. Well lit at night, very clean overall (since they opened recently). Don't know about the gas quality, but the slurpees and snacks are always tasty here. read more

Best 7-11 I have ever been to, I'm always greeted with the best customer service and everybody that works there is so friendly. They are extremely clean and I always walk in seeing at Least one employee on cleaning duty. During this covid pandemjc they are following strict precautions more than anywhere I've seen. They supply customers with gloves to use at both the coffee bar and fountain drink area. Best customer service, I always leave happy. read more

Bad service. Cathy must be a very unhappy person or getting kickbacks from Star Towing. Although the signs are very hard to find if you park there, there is ample parking. I made the mistake thinking a quick lunch at Chef Chins next door would be acceptable (did not see any signs of No Parking). And like flies on dung, my car was towed. Amazing, the car was towed 3 minutes before I got back (the parking spot was still dry from where the car was, while the other open spots were all wet from the rain). What a racket! Let me start out by saying i am a regular at this 7-11, i work close by and i come here often. The people that work here and friendly and usually helpful for the most part...except for today. I was on my regular 15 minuet break get a snack and really wanted a steak and cheese taquito (yum). When i walked in there were 4 employees on the floor, including the store manager who knows my face. I patiently waited for someone to help me when one by one the employees (including the manager) walked to the back room, leaving only one girl behind the counter. As they were walking by one guy even said "she'll be with you in just a minute." Well guess what, she wasn't because she was trying to ring up everyone in line (completely understandable) while i stood and waited for about 10 more minuets until i had to just leave without what i wanted so i could get back to work on time. How is it that there are more employees in the store than customers at that point and not one person could help me? Probably partially hangry while writing this because i didn't get anything to eat, but still, it's ridiculous. Especially because the manager was there too, that makes me even more angry. 100% happy with this great coffee place! The Ladies remember you as a local, I get there just as the shift change starts every morning and both ladies remember me...
