We were close by and visited on 7/11 Slurpee day. It was early evening, so already fairly late in the day to still be able to get a free small slurpee. We walked in and I asked if we can still get a free slurpee and the employee and customers pointed to the small display with the free slurpee cups. Yay! :) The store was clean and organized. I come to this 7-Eleven pretty often, usually around 1-2AM on Fridays, because late night snacks are basically a lifestyle and I'm committed. And don't get me wrong, the store itself is fine. There's tons of options and everything you could want when you're hungry at an ungodly hour. Chips, candy, drinks, random snacks you've never seen before... it's like a snack museum. BUT the problem is this place is not a 7-Eleven... it's a 7-Maybe. First time I ever came here, I was with my friend Matthew, and we were taking our time picking snacks. I'll admit it, we took a while... like 20 minutes. But to be fair, choosing snacks at 1AM is serious business. This isn't just shopping, this is strategy. We were in there debating flavors like we were on Shark Tank trying to build the perfect snack lineup. Then the guy randomly tells us "we're about to close." And we're like... close??? So we panic, rush to the register, pay, and leave like we just heard the purge siren. Later I find out this location is supposed to be 24 hours every single day of the week, so I'm thinking okay... maybe that was a one time thing. Like a glitch. A little error. A lag spike. NOPE. Second time I come back again with the same friend, same time, and it happens AGAIN. The worker is acting like they're closing, so this time I'm like alright let me just ask straight up because now I'm confused. I literally asked him "Is this place 24/7?" and he said yes. And I'm like "Like it's open every day?" and he said yes. And I'm like "Like... open ALL day? Never closes?" and he said YES. So now I'm standing there like okay... so why are we speedrunning snacks like it's Mario Kart every time we come here?? Then another time I come with a group of friends and there's a big stinking sign that says CLOSED FOR CLEANING. So we're like "uh okay??" and leave because what are we supposed to do, argue with a sign at 1AM? Then I come AGAIN with a friend around the same time and guess what... closed for cleaning again. But here's what really took me out: I can literally see a dude inside just on his phone. Like I'm sorry but what is being cleaned?? The only thing getting wiped is his screen At this point, coming here late at night feels like I'm pulling up to Stranger Things trying to unlock the Upside Down entrance to the Doritos aisle. Every visit is a different episode. One night it's "open," one night it's "closing," one night it's "closed for cleaning," and one night it's just "closed because vibes." Stopped in recently for a snack. Got a 7-11 branded cherry pie. Since they no longer carry the Hostess brand. Pie filling had zero cherries in it. Just the jelly cherry goop. I understand they get a higher profit margin with their branded products. But your overall profit will be down. If nobody's buying them. Never again for me. While I'm at it. You guys use to sell excellent chocolate chip cookies. The quality went down big time since you started making them in house. Use to be an almost daily purchase. Since I work so close to this 7-Eleven I come here quite often, at least about every other day Monday through Friday. The main reason why I come to 7-Eleven in the first place is because they have the big gulps which is about a gallon, the best thing about this is it only cost me about $1.39 with tax to fill it up, I don't care where you go you will not find any juice, soda, water and ice even to be that cheap, since I am Always on the go and working hard I need to hydrate, and this does just that for an extremely cheap price. They have Gatorade, power aid, sodas, Life water, and water. A lot of different choices for a real cheap price. All of the people that work at the store are awesome, they all know me is soon as I walk in because I am a regular. They are always so nice which makes it even better to come to the same store. They have private parking and also street parking available as well as gas pumps to fill up at the same time. I'm not a big fan of food at a convenience store but when I am in need they have fresh food, not to mention they have cold items such as sandwiches and fresh fruit, things that are easy to eat on the go. The worst place to buy food from. I entered and tried to buy a chicken salad sandwich and unfortunately it was expired. Also, there was guy standing in black turban and line was too long. He was taking so much time to process payment of people as if he never cared about the line. One person even said that he was getting late but guy in turban didn't care to listen at all. I have not seen that kind of rudeness anywhere specially in the morning. It was all people waiting in line and all chaos there and people standing outside the store. Today was the first and last time I will visit this 7-Eleven. I needed an ATM that does not charge a fee and cash in a scratch ticket on Clairemont Mesa Blvd. I found this 7-Eleven on Google Maps and was happy it was so close to Shawline Street where I was shopping. The female attendant was pleasant when I entered and asked if there was an ATM. She smiled and said yes, down on the left. I then took my scratcher and checked to make sure it was a winner for another ticket. I still gave it to the attendant and started looking at other scratches. I put my my money on the counter in exact amounts for my new scratches. Two single doĺars for two one dollar scratches, one $5 bill for a five dollar scratcher and two more single dollars far a $2 dollar scratcher. Total $9 dollars and my scratcher that had a free $1 ticket​​​. Got my four scratchers and left without my free tickets because a customer was waiting to buy some Lotto tickets, so I left. I only realized that I never got a ticket or a dollar for my original scratcher.the nice thing is I won $20 dollars on the $5 dollar scratcher the other three were duds. I return to 7-Eleven to get my scratcher that I received and my $20 winner ticket. As I start to tell the attendant that she forgot to give me the dollar, she was , argumentative, angry, nasty and yelling about the camera, her manager and to come back on Monday to see the recording of her giving me a dollar! It was not the dollar, but the principal of the thing. Bad customer service, not listening to a calm, composed customer, yelling in a threatening manner was much more offensive than her cutting ne off and being so nasty. I stopped try to explain and she left me standing at the register, helped another customer and I said, "I am a customer"! I was not rude, I just shut up got my $20 dollar winnings and decided $20 was still better than the $1 she refused to give me. I forgave her and thought that she had a bad day, or needed a vacation. Bottom line, not everyone can work with the public without it getting to them at some point. Take a break, or get another job. It's just not worth it these days to stand up for the truth sometimes. Nice 7-Eleven. Staf is pretty friendly. I did not realize there are 3 7-Elevens on Convoy till a friend pointed it out to me while driving down Convoy. Parking is a little tigher here than other two. I never thought I'd be yelping about a 7-11 but this particular one (and only this particular one) deserves honorary mention. This particular location is exceptional. Exceptionally clean, exceptionally organized and exceptionally staffed. It is the best convenience store I have been to in my entire life (and far superior to any other 7-11's). In addition, their coffee station is wonderful and looks very fresh, clean and innovative (different, unique). They do have a tendency to run out of Splenda so if they improve inventory management on this front, then it's absolute perfection. It is also a major bonus that this location has a bathroom as many 7-11's do not have a public restroom. Furthermore, it also has a gas station which is only an amenity at a few select 7-11's. As a final note, Nancy, a store clerk, deserves special mention in my review as her personality, charm and unwavering ability to provide a great customer experience each and EVERY time ultimately propelled me to write this review - she is that awesome. Infectiously cheerful and accomodating, she truly epitomizes what outstanding customer service is. The young Latino man that works on weekday mornings (I think his name is Jorge but I may be wrong) is also very, very good as well. The only (minor) con with this store, aside from the inconsistent Splenda inventory, is that I guess they do on-the-job company training at this location so you'll see a group of employees being trained in the middle of the floor on a weekday morning. Also, before leaving after you buy food, TASTE IT, to see if it isn't old or stale. This is absolutely the cleanest 7-Eleven in the area. Their gas prices are reasonable and they always have their shelves stacked.

Something I noticed is that 7-11's tend to be near 24 Hour Fitness locations. That rule doesn't apply here. You'll also notice that 7-11's no longer keep the hours of their namesake. Often times gas stations close the lobby and everything must be done through a speakerbox making getting drinks, cigarette's awkward and ATM width drawl impossible. With gas stations within earshot and walking distance the gas prices are within a few cents of all others in the area, but since I usually come down here for food I usually head north to the 52 where I stop here. It allows me to get in and out without extra turnoffs or double yellow breaks. They have their lobby open much later than every other station around. It's kind of new and pretty clean, but the set up is generic. I can't say I love or hate them, but past midnight, 1, 2am convenience is key. read more

Well first I Came here to fill my Gas because they do have a Gas Station here at this one . The price for gas here is a couple of cents cheaper then the Rival across the street Shell . And 7-Eleven is a good spot for coffee and if your on the go and just want to pick up a quick snack or even a Big Gulp Drink . I like coming here for there Slurpees it is not a bad price here . The one thing that I notice is getting in and out of this location because when it gets busy then it is hard to drive around the Gas Pumps and there are cars everywhere !! It can be a Pain !! I find it hilarious that even when all these 7-Elevens are all over the place, they're still not close to ME!!! Well this one is not that far from where I live, probably a 5 min. drive, but STILL!! I really like this 7-Eleven. The outside of the store is clean. Has gas pumps here. Good competitor for Shell right across the street. The inside of this 7-Eleven, pretty standard. Everything stocked up neatly on the shelves, organized by section. Typical warmer for hotdogs, nachos, rolled tacos. Duh...don't forget to get a slushy!!! The most important thing for me is the ATM machine. The ATM machine is Citibank, but I bank with Mission Federal. By far the worst place to visit. I am 26 weeks pregnant and the guy with a hand tattoo literally refused to let me use the restroom. He blamed it on COVID but how inhumane to literally refuse someone a bathroom. He literally stood in the door/ stall until I walked. Okay, I know 1 star ... but this is why, I have been going here since I Transferred to a new job in my company for a year now. A year ago a guy named Michael worked the shift at 4:30 cool guy I would stop there for my coffee, and a snack for the lunch box. ALWAYS had the store fully stocked, GREETED you as soon as you can in the door. Could tell he Worked to make the store look clean stocked, and coffee pots (ALL OF THEM!! 10+) ready, chips candy bars were all nice and neat. Usally mopping, stopping before you were at the counter waiting. THEN... he switched to the next shift, The chick that replaced him was really good, maybe not a greeting as you walk in the store, and might stand at the register to pay. She was pretty good, friendly, and would know you as a local. SINCE then, She was replaced, fired, quit, something by a guy that got his shift changed to fill in and he would be a better employee if just sat on a stool say "hello welcome to 7/11... " drooping on himself. I like 7-11 and their coffee, inexpensive and consistent. This morning though I think when I poured a dark roast, it was something else, I think they mixed up the brew. All this aside, this 7-11 is my favorite stop, because it's near my work, large, busy, and the clerk by the name of Francisco is a cool guy. When I pick up my java, I always try my luck with a lotto ticket or two, the reason I like the clerk, he gave me a bit of advice how to play the Daily 3 ticket, usually I just play it straight, but he gave me the friendly tip to either play Straight, Box, or Straight/Box. This 7-11 currently charges $1.39 for a regular size coffee refill while every other 7-11 that I've been to, perhaps 10 different locations only charge $0.99 for the same size coffee refill. I always thought that all 7-11s were pricing their items the same. $1.39 is still a good deal for coffee, but $0.99 is a better deal. read more

This is a pretty standard 7 eleven as far as clean. Seems like a brand new one as well. But the reason it holds a place in my heart is because I used their ATM, took all my bills out MINUS one 20 dollar bill and started to walk to my car. This review is entirely directed at an "employee" at this location, not the store itself. I visited this location often when I worked over here a few years ago and never had a bad experience until this weekend. I have been in both days this weekend to have the unfortunate experience with the woman on her afternoon shift. She glared at me when I went up to the register after I greeted HER with a friendly "hello", in which I did not receive a reply to. She did not tell me my total, I had to find out how much I owed from the cash register...the only actual words that came out of her mouth was a rude "thank you", which felt like more of a subtle "get out of my face". I thought maybe this woman was having a bad day? Nope, same thing happened today except at first I didn't even think anyone was working. I came in, followed by another gentleman, and waited at the cash register for five minutes while she left the store unmanned to come out and act just the way she did yesterday to both of us.
