Why? DD gives two $10 grocery credits 2 times a month if you have DashPass. Between the hubby and I, we have $40 in credits each month. You can't stack them to buy something big, but it's nice for small things. Can place a $12 order and just pay the diff of $2. The guy here is super sweet. I think he actually recognizes me now. Last pick up he's like DD? Sometimes they give me a different flavored White Claw or Truly, but I don't really care that much. Especially since I'm only paying a few bucks for two seltzers and a bag of chips. Parking is plentiful as there is a lot. I was overcharged for cigarettes, even though I had proof that I was double-charged. Both times I dealt directly with the manager. The manager promised he would review the security footage and call me back after confirming my purchase. He never called. A week later, I went back into the store with my wife and asked him if he had called me back. He wasn't being cooperative and was clearly blowing us off, acting like we were wasting his time while he focused on other customers. As we were leaving, I flipped him off and said something like, "Thanks for robbing us, asshole." That's when the manager yelled, "Come back in here, motherf*cker." I went back inside, recording it and he immediately started telling us to leave. So we left and got into our car. The manager then came outside and filmed our license plate. About 15 minutes later, the police were knocking at our door. The officer told us that this store had previously been busted for overcharging customers for cigarettes. The owner of the store where I now buy my cigarettes confirmed the same thing. BTW -- I've known the previous owner's brother, "Mike," for over 30 years. He and his family were best friends with my mother, who went to India with them twice--once for their wedding. I can't thank Sukk enough my bf had went into 711 prior when we went for our snowboarding/ casino trip and the cashier employee did not deposit his 500$ to his chime card and had said he couldn't give us a receipt or anything that he deposited it. Well this went on for months till they got new management and Sukk called me she made it right and paid my bf his 500$ we can't thank her enough! She is the most kind and Sweet lady. Horrible service. I had been riding a road bike for nearly three hours, went in to get a 16 oz bottle of Gatorade. They had larger bottles, which wouldn't fit my bike's holder. I paused as I was in the store for a minute to look up another convenient store on my phone. The owner approached me with "Hey, do you want anything?" Before I even responded, he goes, "take your bike out". What was even more surprising was how angry he got before I even uttered a word. I could have had a perfectly legitimate reason, but he obviously didn't care. After reading other reviews, his two star rating is well representative of his enduring horrible attitude. Everything is so disgusting from the floors, storage areas for straws and lids, top of the machines and food areas. The outside is constantly covered in garbage and filth. It's a 7-11. Slurpee heaven. Perfect for a place to stop after a hike in the Desolation Wilderness for a snack or ice cold drink or a nice and clean bathroom. They do have a Redbox if you're in need of a movie for the night. Staff are not exactly the most outgoing and friendliest, but I can't knock them - they must get a stream of non-stop tourists coming in all day and night asking for the bathroom and dragging Tahoe filth in. read more

I used to live a couple blocks from this 7-Eleven, and I kinda miss that convenience. I still go here occasionally, and I like it because it's removed from the craziness of the Y and the main drag. Be carful with your money at this store!... they like to pocket money! A few months ago I bought a pack of cigs and they over charged me one dollar and kept it... didn't realize till I got home and never said anything cause it was just a buck. Well today I wanted to test the lady working... so I asked for a pack of cigs and handed her 10 bucks... she didn't tell me how much just handed me change and I literally with my own eyes saw her put a dollar in her pocket... unbelievable! Honestly this is the best 7-11 in town. The others are dirty and in sketchy areas (yes tahoe has sketchy areas). It's by far the cleanest 7-11 around. The other reviews say that the staff isn't friendly. I don't feel that's true at all. I know retailers have a huge problem with theft and when I go in there they are always busy and they have to keep an eye on everyone.
