July 4th! Absolutely awful experience at this 7-Eleven. I came in just to grab a drink, and the place was total chaos. Some (yt people to be more exact) customers were blatantly cutting in line, shoving others aside & STEALING!! like they owned the place. It felt completely unsafe and disrespectful. Staff didn't intervene which made the situation worse. I've never seen such a lack of basic courtesy in a public place. I won't be coming back here. read more

I usually don't make reports but once I came here everything seemed fine but I told the guy working where is this specific item but he ignored me and was in a bad mood so I thought it was one of those day but I came back the next day and he was talking on his phone ignoring me and mad looking at me and then I told him if you have halls that were right next to him that I didn't see he looked down right at them and said we don't sale them. I came in at 7:30 tonight to the 7-11 in dollar hill (I should mention I have lived up the street from this place all my life) I love all the new workers that come in, and have always been treated with kindness and respect. Tonight I entered in my debit card number wrong, the guy in the pictures got mad at me and said "only cash" I respectfully said, I'm sorry I entered my debit card number wrong (I switch between my husbands and I debit card) but he got so frustrated. So I gave him cash...as I was walking out I felt so hurt that he treated me so badly and turned around and said "you didn't need to be so rude about that, I'm in here once a week, please show me some kindness" well he lost it on me. He followed me out to my car, was saying derogatory things to me and tried to film my license plate number. This is me filming him back, while he tried to...honestly I don't know what he was trying to do. I have the footage on my phone, and I would like to speak to the owner about this guy. I love 7-11 and it has always been a staple in our lives, we just live up the road...but this guy was so mean and lost it when I confronted him. I'm a woman in my 30's and I guarantee he would not have treated me that way if I had been with husband. I have all the footage on my phone, and I encourage the owner to check his cameras around 7:30 on Nov 22. My boyfriend and I went in to get a drink and snacks like we do at every 711. The man at the register was staring at me the entire time so my boyfriend said something and asked him nicely to stop since I was getting uncomfortable. He then denied my boyfriend's real ID and claimed it was fake until we asked to call the cops to prove it and explain everything else and he immediately gave it back while screaming at us to leave. He refused to let us buy our things but i'm not too upset considering the payment method was a scam and steals your credit card information. Not only was he inappropriate but he doesn't even know how to tell what a real ID looks like which is concerning. Shouldn't have a violet man with anger issues working at a register in such a nice area. very disappointing read more

It's weird finding a 7-11 in this part of town. Next to a B&B and a bunch of other lodges. The lone staff was warm and gracious. Clean store. Organized aisle and packed with basic stuff that we needed. read more

I was surprised to find a 7-11 all the way out here - and it's not in town proper. It's several miles out of Tahoe City proper - North of the City - but still has a Tahoe City address. This is quite the little destination at night in the off season. I went in to stock up on items for my kitchen for the coming week - mostly drinks and snacks - and there was quite the line here for everything, including movie rentals. I can't imagine what this place is like during the busy tourist season. read more

If you are bike riding clockwise around Lake Tahoe, 72 miles, and start at Heavenly Village in South Lake Tahoe, then Emerald Bay, this 7-eleven is pretty much half-way around the lake and a great place to take a break and re-load your water and other foodstuffs without being far away from your baby (bike). The staff was friendly and they have a nice bathroom for cyclists. They have a shaded area in front to relax and stretch out. They made my ride, and I thank them for being there when I needed them. I popped a tire and ended up stuck in front of this 711 for 2 days. I bought whatever necessities I needed and was treated poorly. Ended up snowed in after spending Christmas vacation here so on 12/26 around noon or so we needed to get some food and supplies asap for our kids so we could bunker down into our hotel. Shelves were pretty empty so we asked for a gallon of milk because we could see them in the back of the fridge. The guy refused to refill anything. Of the $75 I spent on food no joke half turned out to be expired, frozen white castle cheeseburgers were spoiled and smelled gross I was panic buying and didn't think to stop and check. 7-11 where we are from never has this problem. Guy working the counter was on his phone the whole time and every time we tried to ask him something he looked at us like we were stupid and basically ignored us and kept talking. If it weren't for this snow storm and difficulty driving around, I would be back in there with all the rotten food getting my refund! Wish I could give them 0 stars because this was just horrible. read more

Worst 7 around the lake , never stocked on anything like coffee first thing in the morning

Unlike all other restaurants and shops in Tahoe City, the staff here is not friendly, and it almost seems like they'd rather you not come in for interrupting their phone call or whatever they are doing behind the counter. Our Rewards number never seems to work, so they up charge us ($1.49 for a soda instead of the $.49 poster in the window). I'll just re-sign up each time! What a game. It is conveniently located by our house when we're walking, but if you're driving, I'd recommend going a few miles north or south (7-11s are ubiquitous in the region) but I can't speak to whether or not the staffs there are equally cranky. read more

This place is by far the best and only place in town for late night dining! Their staff is amazing, and impressively keep food warm and ready to serve around the clock, like 24 hours a day. Oh I will be back for the little Buffalo Weiners, you betcha! read more

My family and I come here a lot whenever we need a soda or slurpee fix. Staff isn't overly friendly but they are quick at ringing you up and they keep the place clean and well stocked. Best 711 I've ever been to. read more

Some of the worst customer service I've ever had. I was trying to buy a nicotine product and was asked for ID. No problem, I'm 22 and have a California driver's license. I've never had any issues with this ID or buying 21+ products. The cashier was questioning my age and asked me to remove my mask. I complied just to be rung up without the nicotine product. I tried to pay but realized what I wanted wasn't rung up. When I asked him to ring it up he said something about calling someone to verify my ID. He showed me the phone and he was dialing 911. I told him that wasn't necessary and that he should just scan my ID. Instead another cashier rung me up again without the nicotine product and told me "they didn't believe I was 21 so they wouldn't sell it to me." I refused to buy the other items and left very frustrated. They were rude and tried twice to charge me for an item they wouldn't sell me. I left and went to the next 7/11 down the road just to be met with more issues as this store had clearly called the next store. They asked if I wanted the product before I asked for it and questioned me again about my age. I simply told them to scan my ID. I said I would just go somewhere else if they wouldn't let me purchase something I can legally purchase and then was given better service. Trying to call 911 on me for using my actual California driver's license is beyond ridiculous and not only was my time wasted but all the other people in the store had to wait. I've never encountered something like this and find it extremely unprofessional. I would NOT recommend this 7/11 there is another one 5 minutes down the road that is cleaner and has far better customer service. I truly wish I could give less than one star, worst service I've ever received. read more

Typical 7-11 however this one is unkept and a little dirty. Went for some basic nachos and both chili and cheese were empty spitting like crap with dry residue from the nozzle so I threw the nachos away and instead of apologizing for not having the chili/cheese ready available for customers and changing it I got charged for it...
