Today at work I put all my tip money together and I was 10 bucks shy of paying my daycare bill. So here I am getting gas and two candy bars bag a chips for the kids, and I ask if they do cash back. She said yes only 10. PERFECT may I please have cash back? No because you are buying gas. Okay can I do it separately Yes. Start transaction Don't TAP it you have to insert the card Oh it already tapped. So.. You have to buy something else now. I reach for pistachio candy bar No that's 20.00 I'll sell you a bag for 10cents. I said, this is really a terrible way to upsell items. I buy the bag, she then asked do I want the bag. And then do I want the gas. I said, I'll buy the gas outside and no thank you. How can you improve this scenario 7-11? This sorta got me disregulated. Older guy working at 7 o'clock on on June 26th. 7/11 has a whole bunch of discounts on their drinks when you put your phone number in. He seemed to not realize how it works and I ended up walking him though it and got the discount. I then gave him cash to pay for both my drinks and my gas. I then went to the pump to get gas and realized he charged me for both drinks. Either he kept it for himself or he just isn't trained and that's not on him. I also got 2 taquitos and asked the lady if about getting one more for the $3 deal. She preceded to tell me there is no deal on the taquitos and charged me full price for the two. In the app I double check these prices and this lady is just over charging everyone. The prices she charged me were definitely not correct. On Thursday, September 10, 2020, at approximately 8:15am PST, I drove to this 7-11 store to re-inflate a tire on my vehicle which has recently developed a slow leak. In keeping with the spirit and practice of prudent social distancing, I telephoned the store and requested that the air pump in the parking lot be activated. The person who answered curtly responded, "You are here too much!" and then informed me that he refused to activate the air pump for me. I asked for this person's name and he refused to provide it. I then told him that I would notify 7-11 corporate headquarters of his actions. Soon thereafter, a store employee, who I must assume was the same person who rudely refused my request, emerged from the store with phone in hand to record video of me waiting in my car in the parking lot near the air pump. I then departed the scene and telephoned 7-11 corporate headquarters customer service and lodged a complaint with an employee named Brenda. This incident leaves me with several questions. Why did the employee refuse to activate the outside air pump for an admittedly frequent customer? Why did he make considerable effort to step outside the store to make a video recording of me in the 7-11 parking lot? Did he perceive me as a threat to property or people? Since 1999, California Business and Professions Code Section 13651 has required gas stations to provide free air and water to customers who purchase gasoline. The legislative intent underlying this law was to enhance public safety by facilitating motorists keeping their tires properly inflated and ensuring adequate water levels in their radiators and windshield washer reservoirs. I realize that I did not purchase gas on that day immediately before my request, but I have previously purchased gas at that 7-11 store dozens of times in large amounts. The treatment I received is a terrible way to build and maintain customer loyalty, even if the proprietor's refusal to provide compressed air (air!) was technically within the letter of the law. Does he derive comfort from being within the specific black letter statutory guidelines of California law, at the cost of alienating a loyal customer, incurring unwanted corporate scrutiny and inquiry from 7-11 headquarters in Dallas, and receiving negative publicity from social media posts like this one? Any experienced small business owner is aware that not all expenses are reflected on a balance sheet. .In conclusion, I have until this point not articulated the fact that I am a woman of African American descent. I cannot state with certainty that this employee's actions were motivated by my race or gender. But I must ask that had I been a white male in a similar situation, would I have received the same treatment?? And I'm so delighted to see Amazon's fleet of delivery vans driving past your gas station on a daily basis to visit the Shell in Bressi Ranch. We have lived across the street from this branch for over 20 years. The GM and his wife are extremely pleasant when ever I see them. The STAFF, Hispanic Lady (11:00am 3/5/22) is extremely RUDE. After spending hundreds of dollars monthly on fuel, She rudely ask me to pay $.60 for a cup of ICE and I used my own cup. I said I'm a frequent customer for 20 years and she said you need to pay $.60 for the ICE. I went on Gas Guru and found this chain gas station offering cheapest gas in the Vista/San Marcos area (I'm always a bit wary of the local gas stations. Heard something about credit card info got stolen or something like that) so I gave this 7-Eleven a try. I drove on Palomar all the time and didn't notice the existence of a 7-11! It turns out that it's tucked at the back behind the fast food joint on Business Park Dr and Palomar, where the secret Target is. I cannot write anything about the service there as I didn't need any at the moment. The gas was really cheap. The gas station was well-lit. It is just a bit inconvenient since it's not on Palomar so you need to turn into Business Park; the left turn light there can be a bit of a wait. read more

This store is AWFUL! Its always a mess, and the staff, (well mostly the "manager" named Moji) is super RUDE! When I was in there today, he came up to the counter where another clerk was helping a woman of color, and told her to stop fighting with the clerk, or she could just get out! I entered this establishment thoughtfully and respectfully. I was immediately met with an awful stench comming from the cashier. Although body Oder is normal, you should never work at an establishment and fear for the safety of the products inside. As I walked to the slurped machine and filled up my cup. Came here for gas. Told the lady at the counter my card only swipes as credit. All she would say is "declined". I told her I understood but there was no button on my end to select credit. She pushed buttons and told me to swipe again and would just keep saying "declined", latterly nothing else but that word. I told her it was not my card but her system. She looked at me like I was stupid and said my card declined again. All she had to do was tell me I couldn't use the card or all she had to do was select credit on her screen. When I told him it was in the truck he said "sorry, its the new policy" So I walked out to my truck walked back in a put my ID on the counter and it slide towards him. I went into this 7-Eleven a few days ago to pick up a couple of snacks. When I went to pay my wife reminded me that we were going to pay with cash. We went on our way back home (Murrieta). When we got home I realized that I had lost my wallet and could not remember for the life of me where I had left it, because of course I ALWAYS put it back in my pocket...After a long night of calling around to all the places we had been to asking if they had seen anything we came up with nothing. I canceled all of my credit/debit cards as well. I was sure that where ever my wallet ended up it was long gone. Then today as I got to work I got a phone call from USAA (one of my banks) that someone had contacted them letting me know that my wallet was located at this 7-Eleven. After speaking with who I think is the manager I had to CONVINCE him to release my wallet to my wife because she will be down in that area and I work in Irvine. I appreciate the hard time that I got from him to release my wallet, and am even more appreciative that he took the time to call around to find me. All in all, it's a really crappy feeling to lose a wallet specially with a bunch of important documents within. I'm thankful that there are still decent people out there! read more

Definitely the worst 7-Eleven in all of San Diego. As with all the other reviewers, I will not go into this store. I even own a business in this center and will drive 2-5 miles to another one on my way to and from work. The people behind the counter are rude, ignorant, and lazy. I was cussed out in Spanish today ... I am bilingual and she thought I didn't understand what she was saying. I was overcharged today and when I asked that she check the price, she just repeated the price and said "that's the price" even though I know that she was wrong. I handed her the money because I didn't want to argue and she put the change down on the counter making me have to pick up the change that she placed away from where I was standing. I refuse to go into this store again and only wish there were more ways to dissuade others from going to this 7-Eleven. Maybe then they would get serious about the necessity for good customer service. If I could give it a lower grade I would ...
