They were a great resource and will be missed. Quick call ahead to get a sense of the 1st-timer experience and it worked out good. Book online is fairly smooth, pull up to the front, quick check-in inside the spiffy decorated lobby with fun "gear-head" projects and stuff and then they guide you into your designated garage bay. For all 1st-time users of their bays (and facility), they provide a really decent run-down of the rules & tools you need to be aware of. Given the size & scope of just the tools, most DIY'ers can do just about any size job on their vehicle. I just wanted a bare minimum hour to have a nice chill inspection of my car which helps those of us who like to get a peace of mind and sense of simple empowerment. I didn't wrench on anything; just raised it on the lift, grabbed a stool and inspected the whole under body with the portable light. I also confirmed a previous courtesy shop inspection's leaky CV boot on front-right axle. The young man who guided me around from start-finish was super chill and demonstrated a good professionalism about him. I think the owner came by briefly and he was great. Feedback: Would love to see a bit more "auto shop decor" (banners, etc) and not many rolling stools. Still fairly new so hopefully in the coming months we may see some cool changes. Probably comparing apples to oranges here but it's just a tiny bit too gritty for me. Bathroom isn't bad either. A great community resource worth checking out. Because you have some freedom in your bay, just respect the guidelines and do your thing. You may also strike up fun conversation with your neighbors and stuff.

In my case I booked a 2 hour time slot to accomplish an oil change and an exhaust swap. Couldn't perform the exhaust swap so I only used one hour of time but was still charged for 2 hours. Shop was not busy at all so it's not like I was taking a bay from someone .Keep this in mind when booking multi hour time slots. Shop is great though, clean , has just about every tool you would need.

He took a great time at understanding exactly what we wanted to pay, got us to that number, got us the exact 1500 that we wanted and off we went. When the Silverado literally came off the shipping truck, he gave us updated photos and let us know when it was available to go see it. We fell in love and got it immediately. THANK YOU ERIK! My car had been giving me some intermittent stalling issues and one morning simply would not start…read more I had it towed to GP Automotive as they had good reviews and were located close to me. This was in February. They investigated and found a lot of parts they wanted to replace. My car being older (2005) I wasn't totally shocked by this but I asked for assurances that this would fix the problem and that the car would be reliable. They assured me this would take care of the issue. It cost $4200. Less than 300 miles later the car again died on me (intermittent stall) and I brought it back to GP Automotive (They hardly remembered me and misremembered the make and transmission of my car). They called me after a few days, said they were unable to reproduce the issue (so, no fix), and that I could pick the car up. I told them to take pride in their work and to please resolve the issue, reminding them that they had already charged me more than $4,000 and that the car was still not fixed, and that I was well within my rights to leave them a less-than-stellar review. They quickly agreed to redouble their efforts. They had the car from mid-May through to the end of July when they finally decided to replace two additional parts (they could still not confirm what the cause of the issue was) for an another $600. In that time frame I reached out for updates 15 times. They reached out to me three times. Again, less than 200 miles from pickup, the car died on me today. I will never return to GP automotive. You should never bring your vehicle there either. P.S. I would like to personally call out Nick for being extremely unreliable with updates, unrealistic on timeframes, and inaccurate in his quotes.

When we got the car back, the fan belt was making noise and the interior fan didn't work. We assumed they had not put it all back together correctly and so took it back to get the situation corrected. They wanted another 1200 dollars to fix it. They said it was just a coincidence that these things went bad at the same time. We said we would get a second opinion. It was after that, they told us that a 900 dollar part they had replaced previously, was defective and they would replace it free of charge. Like they were doing us a favor. Long story short, the fan mysteriously started working after we picked it up and the fan noise eventually went away on its own. Second opinion mechanic couldn't find anything wrong. The whole experience and comments from the guy at the front desk made this all feel very shady.

He advertised this package on Facebook Marketplace but the money was processed on a credit card through his business KPro Auto making it a business transaction. He gave me a verbal ok to pick it up in a "month or two" because I'm a U.S. Navy Service Disabled Veteran and needed help from my son (who is a U.S. Army Service Disabled Veteran wounded in Syria 2023) to move it all. Jim didn't lift a finger to help at all. He mostly stood around and arrogantly made wisecracks about our automotive ignorance. After picking up the trucks and assorted parts, I had a change in plans and did not take delivery of the old original engines, one was very rusty on the inside. Jim (the owner) refused to refund me, in part I suspect because he was insulted and embarrassed that I found broken glass in his home made honey(that's when relations broke down). I paid in full for everything ahead of time and have receipts to prove it. I don't owe him a penny. No labor on his part was involved. He also gave me 2 counterfeit Bills of Sale for the trucks with fraudulent signatures of the prior owners. DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE! JIM IS A VERY SHADY DISHONEST CHARACTER! He still refuses to refund my $1000.
