Brought truck in for an alignment and have a print out of what was recommended and out of spec. I replaced all of it. Radiator hose, brake fluid filled, ball joints and upper control arm. Returned with all items replaced new and brake fluid filled. Received a quote to literally replace the radiator hose and flush brake fluid for over $600.. Again, I literally just installed a brand new radiator hose and added brake fluid. Brought my concerns to Jake. Said, we recommend replacement based on mileage. People that is the most dishonest thing I've personally come upon. I've been a 20+ year customer and I am not sure if I will ever come back. Pure Incompetence, Zero Communication -- Firestone Wasted My Time and Tried to Overcharge I made an appointment at Firestone to replace a low beam headlight on my 2013 Jetta SportWagen TDI. I was quoted around $20 for the bulb, and expected straightforward labor -- nothing unreasonable. I understand that some headlight replacements can be more involved, and I was open to that possibility. But what followed was a complete waste of time. They had my car for over an hour and 15 minutes before finally telling me they had to remove the bumper just to figure out which bulb the car needed. Not once did they engage me as the customer. No one asked if I knew the bulb type (I do -- it's H7). They didn't pull the VIN. They didn't even check the easily accessible passenger-side bulb to confirm. These are basic, common-sense steps that were totally skipped. Instead, they dismantled the car, wasted my time, and then quoted me $90 before tax for a simple headlight replacement -- over 4x the original estimate, without any explanation of the added cost. For comparison, my local VW dealership replaced the same bulb with an OEM part, labor, and tax for $60 total, done in under 30 minutes -- without pulling the bumper off. Of course I declined Firestone's service. The lack of communication, basic diagnostic skill, and outrageous pricing left me with zero confidence in their shop. I put new tires on my 98 Jeep Grand Cherokee Ltd. The car had just had new brakes, new shocks and a new steering gear box installed. The alignment was done very quickly. less than 30 minutes. Strange but ok. When I read the repair report, he directed me to the camber section (maybe caster) where he stated it could not be adjusted any further. both sides were negative while the standard was in the black. The ties rod ends, upper and lower ball joints were replaced less than 10k miles. I did all replacement except for the alignment and new tire installs. I'm experiencing a slight drifting problem from left to right and back again. I'm going to take her back and ask why that is happening as I am not happy with the car. I just didn't expect the camber (caster) would make her ride like that and really concerned it could not be adjusted out considering most of the front end was so low mileage. The customer service is shit and the service is questionable at best. DO NOT attempt to make an appointment online because it's extremely inaccurate and they will call you to tell you that there's no appointments available. Had my oil changed here 3 months ago. Went to service it myself in my driveway and the oil filter seems to be glued onto the housing. Quality in material for the filter they use seems to be the cheapest I've seen. And they still charge $120 for the most basic oil change on a 4 cylinder car. UPDATED BELOW: Terrible work (see photos attached). I lived in the area for a few years while attached to the military and I had only taken my car in for oil changes and the one time I had an engine light on I assumed they would do good work so I took it in to be fixed. The issue they said was my intake manifold needed to be replaced so I spent $1000 for the technician Kyle to completely fuck my car up. If you know anything about cars look at the photos and you can easily identify the problems; bolts not screwed in, parts not attached, parts cross threaded and pieces broken. Unfortunately I knew nothing about cars and didn't check their work so I didn't notice anything was wrong until I took a cross country trip to our next duty station and my cars check engine light and glow plug light came on almost immediately. At the time I had no idea it was firestones fault and I was desperately looking for a mechanic to help me which I didn't find until 30 driving hours later when we got to our destination for a trusted mechanic to kindly lay things out and tell me the severity of the issues. My car is a diesel engine and I was told by Firestone that Kyle (the mechanic) has been with their company for over 10 years and does excellent work so there is no way he screwed up, well, the proof is in the photos and it cost me over $2000 to fix my car to be safe on the road again. I sent the photos and new invoice to fix the damages to Firestone in hopes they would help me financially in which the manager Steve told me that he claims no responsibility for the damages and that the best he could do was send me to their claims department. Fast forward a few weeks because of negligence with Steve's communication I finally get a claim submitted and contacted by Chad. It took Chad a total of a day to tell me that because my car was already fixed that there was nothing he could do to help me because it's 'policy' requires a technician to be sent out and check the damages in person to see if it was actually their fault. At the time I am 5 months pregnant with doctors appointments, work & errands to run and my only car is in the shop for over two weeks. I got no compensation, no apology and pure horseshit from Firestone. I DO NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE!! Do not trust them. Do not trust their work. Do not trust them to be decent human beings in helping out when they fuck something up. Overall do not waste your money on this corrupt business. In regard to the response of this review, it is absolute bullshit to try and make them look better. When I emailed the requested information over I got a response that I will be in contact with the claims department which was a lie I have had no contact with Chad (my claims service representative) since that email and I do not expect to hear from him as he has already told me that because my vehicle was fixed before he could have a technician 'inspect' it that there is nothing they can do for me. Apparently I was supposed to be jobless & home bound for almost two months to wait for a representative to look at my vehicle and decide if it was firestones fault or not before they'd do anything to actually help me. I made an appointment online one week prior to buy a set of tires for my daughter's car. This is the second time I've bought tires here by the way. The first time was flawless. 30 minutes before the appointment I received a call saying they did not have the tires I requested in stock. First of all I HATE buying tires. The whole process is a pain. Anyway I assumed by making an appointment and getting confirmation that the store would ensure they had the stock to complete my job. Wrong. I was forced to leave my car there until the next day. If you make appointments wouldn't it stand to reason the store would ensure the tires were there for the job? This seemed lost on the employees. On a side note when I went back to get the car Kayla (employee) told me she had to make a special trip to get the fourth tire because she was not sure the tire was going to get there due to a driver shortage. Terrible work. I had very poor service in my car. I took it for an engine light problem 3 times to this facility, and they had charged me $1,300 and my card ended with a fried engine. I made a complaint to the headquarters, and they dined to give me back the money charged for a non-completed service. 3 people were looking at my car engine and no one could answer questions. First, they said it was a rat problem, after that the engine light keep showing, and the mechanic said take it to the dealer after 3 attempts to repair and by then my car was fried completely. No trained mechanics in this place. There was a woman chained outside the facility, because the service sox. We must, make the problem public so that there is justice for all who go there to get car problems solved not worsen. read more

I am enraged at their business practices & incompetent employees that we encountered. Charging for work not done, outright lying to customers, not starting on our car until a full day after the appointment when we were told it would be done by the EOD & then denying it all. And we went straight to the Manager. I had a wheel bearing go out in my truck and was VERY hesitant on bringing my truck to Firestone, due to the reviews. Unfortunately I had no option since they were the most convenient for walking distance to work. Brought the truck in and explained what was going on. They replaced the wheel bearing within a few hours and told me I needed an alignment. I agreed knowing I needed one. I got my truck back within 3 hours and was pleased with the work. Here is why only 4 stars. I feel that Firestone should encourage their staff to push Yelp reviews. Verses their internal survey. People like myself base most decisions from Yelp reviews. I dropped my car off for an oil change and new tires. I received a call that my car was ready for pickup. I drove my car two blocks away, and my car started to make loud noises and stopped in the middle of an intersection. I proceeded to push my car into the nearest parking lot and popped my hood. My oil cap was missing and there was smoke coming out of my engine. They had forgotten to fill my oil back up after draining it and ruined my engine. ( I have several witnesses) They then had a tow truck pick up my car and take it back to their shop. They told me it was a miracle and my engine was fine and "sincerely" apologized. I was told that my car had an emergency shut out in case of just such a situation. They gave me my car back the next day. My car was having problems driving. So I brought my car back to them. They flushed the oil and found metal shavings in my oil. This time they told me that when they drove it on the freeway the transmission was exhibiting issues. (My transmission has never exhibited issues when driving high speeds on the freeway.) They gave me my car back again and I tried to drive it and could not go above 30 miles an hour without my car making crazy noises and the engine knocking. I called them and they had me return my car to them and I demanded a rental, they promised they were going to put a new engine in my car and make things right. It has been three weeks and they said they are having a hard time finding an engine and told me replacing the engine is more money than my car is worth so now they are not replacing my engine. I am almost out of days for the rental, and no one has been contacting or communicating with me. This has been a HUGE inconvenience to me and my family. I have spent HOURS of my time contacting them trying to figure this out and keep getting the runaround. I have been promised multiple things that have yet to happen. Still waiting for the corporate to contact me, this is so sad that this is how we are treated after 17 years as loyal customers. I have been told that "we are lucky as most customers only receive a rental for no more than 48 hours!". I wonder how many customers have had their cars completely destroyed?! We've been going to the Smokey Point Firestone for quite a few years and have always been happy with the work. However, my last visit to find out why a sound near my tire was occuring, resulted in a "Diagnostic Service (engine analysis) that cost $141.00. While I was speaking with the lead technician, who had rudely interrupted the young technician who was originally helping me, I overheard another technician telling a new employee that they "make their big money on the diagnostics". This experience did not sit well with me. Our family has been using this Firestone repair shop for years, but the changes that have been occurring over the past several years at this shop don't seem to be positive ones. The attitude of the lead technician towards me was rather off putting, too. He would not look at me and talked to me like he was my father giving me a lecture. had my stepdaughter take in my 05 truck to get tuneup oil change and have wipers fixed thats it. they ended up doing a rear end fluid change that we didn't ask for using full synthetic which wasnt needed and very expensive! not to mention when they do a tune up they also charge for fuel system flush which apparently is part of there tune up but also not needed ofcourse charging more money again! they use to be a good place to go but now they in my opinion they are ripoff artists and take advantage of younger women! wont ever go back ! read more

Went in for a nail in my tire and left with a spare on my car. Was told that tire was fixed and went out to look at it and only had 16# of pressure in the tire. Manager tried to have me buy new tires. I recently had my regular inspection done at my local tire shop and was told my tires were good for another 20k. Crew was polite and courteous. read more

I made an appointment for a front end alignment and get an estimate for brakes. My appointment was at 1pm for the alignment. I showed up at 12:45. The guy told me around a hour or so. I come at 2:15 and they had not even started the alignment. They gave me an estimate of 1300$ for front and back brakes with rotors turned and 2 new calipers. I looked around and got the brakes done at a different company (Family owned mom and pop shop where all 55 reviews were 5 stars. It ended up costing me 500.00 for new front and back brakes and get the rotors turns. They said I did not need new calipers which was another 400$ savings. I will never go back to Firestone. read more

I give the staff 5 stars for friendliness. BUT when it comes down to giving a quote for what it takes to be able to drive away 1 star. Luckily I was able to drive home without having them do the work. My brakes were grinding and within a day they got worse. I had a caliper that froze. After the inspection the grand total was over $800. They told me I needed all new rotors all new brake pads new bearings and calipers. Again this was to drive away. Funny thing the front brakes were done about 6 months ago. With the help of a friend I got the one bad caliper done for $100 and my bearings were fine. Will do the other one soon so I don't run into the problem again. Oh and that quote was with a 10% discount. No I don't have a warranty oh well. Come on guys most of us don't have a 1.000 sitting in our pocket and when we ask to please fix the problem fix the problem. I'm updating this post cause they asked me to email them so they may assist me with the situation. I never received a reply. read more

I have a Hybrid Ford Focus vehicle. I went to get my car oil changed. This is a second time on the system information which shows on a hybrid service was not fully completed only 86% service. I have been to other locations including Ford always shows at100%. Marysville location shows 86% service was done on my vehicle even though they turn off the oil light it still will show you what was completed and it's always at 86% with the Marysville location they do not complete their oil change fully. I complainedat the Mill Creek office talked to Mikaela she tried to cover up saying they just didn't know or might have been error. Or they didn't turn off the oil light. I said, "No they turned off the light but, I still have a system information that shows completed or not. She offered to do it herself. I said no thanks. Gerry is my main man! I can call him up maybe 2 or 3 times a year with questions and he remembers who I am, the vehicle I drive whatever. His customer service is A++. When i need a repair or tires he always is finding me the best option for me and my money. He doesn't push or try to force you into things he really wants the best for you. Can't tell you how much I appreciate this guy! I'm so partial to him that even to set an appointment I will call to ask for him b/c he has always given me the best service and I won't get my vehicle worked on unless he's there b/c he always goes that extra mile to take care of me. Alot of places I never returned to b/c they were always treating me like i didn't know anything and were always trying to freak me out to buy more you know the "you're out of blinker fluid" kind of deal thinking out she's a female she won't know. In the past I was usually pretty happy with the service I got for my money but today I was caused great embarrassment. I racked a bill of $347 which is ok. Now, because of their terminal issues, none of our 3 cards were working. Those cards worked in every other store as we immediately verified. After one hour, the manager supposedly said that we couldn't have the car without immediate payment. I would have to walk to an ATM which is at whoknowswhere. Other customers were present. Took my truck to the Smokey Point Firestone. Had a Vibration in the front end. "Vibration" between 45 and 65 mph.. really bad between 50 and 55mph.. pretty sure its on the drivers side, seems like CV joint of front axle.. maybe strut. Had tires balanced and rotated.. did not fix" Total bill was over $1600.00... they did discount 10%.. Replace upper and lower ball joints, hub on drivers side and an alignment. Drove truck home STILL DOES THE EXACT SAME THING.. Vibration on Drivers side front between 50 and 55mph.. Makes side mirror shake... Guess $1500 doesn't warrant a test drive to make sure it's fixed. Still think real problem is Front Axle joint. Previously had to have front brake calipers replaced second time after 1 year and less than 10,000 miles... read more

They had now told us we need all new tires after we bought them from this store less than 2 years ago (approximately 15,000). I don't understand why the warranty isn't valid but they are telling me it isn't fully valid even though 60,000 miles warranty. Also, there are 3 other tire places in Smokey Point. Scheduled an appointment for 2pm to get my alignment done on my h3 hummer which needs to be done extremely bad so bad my tires have been damaged to the point where I've had a blow out. I arrived about 15 minutes late because life happens and checked in I asked if I could also get my oil changed while I was there and was told no that I would need to schedule another appointment for another day. My response was simple, " I can not this is my only day off and I do not know when my next one will be, so I'm ok with just the alignment." I am opening a business tomorrow and my work schedule is extremely demanding. I was told it would be about an hour maybe two and left my keys with them and proceeded to wander around the area for about an hour and a half before receiving a phone call saying that they weren't going to do my alignment today because it will take to long. What is the purpose of having an appointment if you cant follow through with it as a business? The sheer disregard for customer service is infuriating so still no oil change and no alignment and you wasted so much of my time I couldnt even get my oil changed elsewhere today. I've gotten my oil changed here for years, this last time I also asked for a tire rotation. They told me I had a nail in one of my tires and it couldn't be fixed. She recommended I replace all my tires. She gave me some quotes, some around $700. I was really upset and wanted a second opinion. I took my car to two other businesses, and both told me that I did not have a nail in any of my tires and they were perfectly fine. I had bad experience with them. I called them for brake service - i was told they have wonderful scheme going - get it done within 200$. I scheduled and left my car there. They called me after long time much later than expected. they told me you will be charged 600$ coz my car need full service. they told me to come after couple of hours. They were not done yet. They took another couple of hours and charged 700$ for brake service. I would rather go to my old car mechanic in Everett rather than coming here. I looked up at there cost. They charged couple of rotors for 170$ while auto zone have a same set for 60$. I dint looked up at prices of other parts. I saw people leaving them asking car parts prices. I guess that why.........So be smart in doing business with them. read more

While my vehicle was being repaired at this location and in the custody of Firestone, it was car-prowled, and a few hundred dollars of items were stolen from the car interior and exterior. There were no signs of forced entry, so either it was an inside job by staff or they left the vehicle unlocked overnight in the parking lot. I attempted to file a claim with their garagekeepers liability insurance, designed to cover this, and Firestone would not connect me with their insurance company and denied the theft occurred. It is too small of a loss for Marysville PD to investigate, and the officer told me that area is known for car prowls, so from their perspective, it sucks to be me. read more
