Matcha? you betcha!...I'm into Matcha Green Tea Donuts, Matcha Ice Cream cuz it's green as Google Android! What caught my attention to come here is for their Japanese Matcha Soy. They say Japanese Matcha is literally the healthiest drink nature has to offer. Well if it is, 7 Leaves make em' pretty good! The green tea flavor is there. The soy makes this drink milky and smooth, but this is a bit sweeter than other green tea drinks I've tried and it didn't have that boring dull taste. I'm not a fan of boba in my drinks but my gut feeling tells me to add em' because of that exciting "Matcha" feeling. The other drink I tried here too is the Sea Cream Jasmine Tea. This drink is not as sweet until you get to the Sea Cream topping. It's light due to the Jasmine flavor and it does have a twist of Green Tea. This choice is okay but you may want to cheat the natural stuff by adding some sugar. I walked out of Frost Bites a few door away only to follow the 7 Leaves for Matcha! and it was well worth it! I will be coming back for their Strawberry Hibiscus Tea and to try out the Sea Cream Coffee there. This place was called "Java Brew" before this place opened up and it was just an okay coffee spot. Even though I live in Cypress, I've been going to the Westminster and GG locations for a while. Parking at this 7LC is pretty much like the other locations. You have to wait or park on the street when the strip mall gets busy. I must note that the AC at this location is especially strong. They have around 12 high stools with tables and a few short chairs. There is also an outdoor patio area, which is a plus over the other locations. As for the drinks, it seems all the 7LC are consistently delicious. Prices are fair and the service is quick. read more

Once again this 7 Leaves Cafe review is solely bases off of the Matcha Green Tea (with boba of course). It tastes the same as the ones made at the various 7 Leaves in the Huntington Beach area which makes me happy! It is honestly a solid drink that I recommend to everyone to try at least once. The boba is on a good consistency. One of the main differences that I noticed is that they used crushed ice here as opposed to ice cubes that are used at the HB locations. The drink seemed to take a little while to get cold to my liking, but that is all just personal preference. The location on this particular 7 Leaves is directly across the street from Cypress College. I am sure that this is a prime location to reach the many students that attend college there, but the parking situation was horrendous. I looked around and none of the business looked super packed, but the parking lot was. There are quite a few spaces, but none that were available. Cars were hawking for spots, kind of reminded me of the mall during the holidays. I love that 7 leaves is expanding and this is the newest location! Of course everything is the same as the other two. Since I usually go to the one in Garden Grove I expected this one to be similar. It's a good place to study but not if you need your laptop. There's maybe one outlet you can use unlike the one in Garden Grove where there's outlet at almost every seating location. I got the green tea matcha and it was just as good as the other two locations. My favorite macaron here is definitely the salted caramel. A plus is that it's right next to frostbite. I've had this location bookmarked for a while now and have just not gotten around to checking this place out. I tried to visit this location a couple of days ago and the parking lot was so busy and full that I decided that it wasn't even worth it. I'm glad that I didn't give up and this time around we had food at a Thai place in the next complex over and just walked to the location. The service was super fast and I ordered the Mung Bean Milk tea...it was delicious. But people who don't enjoy a sweet treat as much as I do, maybe another option would be better suited. One of the good boba places! My favorite drink from 7 Leaves Cafe is their Mung Bean Milk Tea, not a lot of places have this drink. It sounds strange at first, but I decided to gave it a try and WOW, it's so good! Yes, it was sweet, but the amount of sweetness was perfect! There are a lot more different Flavored Tea, and Milk Tea, but I didn't have the chance to try. The staffs people are super friendly, they always smile at you. Damn this place has great drinks!! I have been here twice and both times I was very impressed. The menu is small but I think thats what makes the drinks so good. Not having a 100+ different items means they can concentrate on the quality of the teas and drinks instead of the variety. This means that you pretty much will get an outstanding drink everytime. So far my favorite drinks are the House Coffee (Vietnamese style) rich in flavor and not super sweet, and the Strawberry Hibiscus tea which has a distinct tea aroma and flavor that is very soothing. The service is great and the drinks come out really quick. The prices for the drinks are super reasonable and you can get ywo regular drinks here for the price of a Starbucks frappe. I've tried most drinks here and there isn't one I dislike. Here are my top 5: 1. Sea Cream Jasmine Tea -- Not too sweet, jasmine flavor is not overpowering. Pair this with egg pudding!!! 2. House Coffee with Sea Cream -- Coffee is strong but not bitter. Not too sweet and tastes nutty and natural. Pair this with egg pudding!!! 3. Mung Bean Milk Tea -- Sweeter than the first two, but still very good with little bits of mung bean! Pair this with boba and egg pudding! 4. Matcha Green Tea -- This is also sweet, not something I would get a lot but it's good! It almost tastes like Mung Bean to me for some reason. Pair this with boba and/or aloe vera. 5. Sunset Passion -- This is very fruity and tangy. Refreshing as it is, I would hope for it to be a little bit bitter but it's still good. Pair this with egg pudding! Remember I haven't tried every drink but I'm sure you won't be disappointed by any of them!!! For the macarons they're pretty good. I'm a macaron lover and their macarons are VERY fragile. The shell will break easily but they are actually very good. Still chewy and crispy and a little cakey. My favorite flavors were Pistachio, Rosewater, and Salted Caramel. All of them are buttercream fillings so it made the macarons more fluffy. I tried the vanilla chai and it kind of tasted like ube. The strawberry wasn't the best, but it's still edible. Came here for the first time with a friend today. We were buying paint from the nearby Home Depot and decided to walk over. Plenty of parking in the little center, so that should never be a problem. No line inside, but there were a good amount of people sitting down inside. I wasn't feeling very adventurous, so I went with my standard Taro tea with boba. There are so many elements I loved about this tea compared to some other Taro teas I've had before; including no fake purple coloring, small chunks of taro, and crushed ice. Super delicious-- I'll have to remember to shake it up a bit more before I pop my straw in, so the whole drink is an even temperature. Boba was cooked perfectly and tea had a great flavor. I've had 7 Leaves bookmarked for a long time. I finally pulled over and checked it out. One of the reasons I delayed my visit was because I expected a long wait. Every other tea place I've ever been to has been a long wait...but 7 Leaves was completely different. First of all, while I ordered my house iced coffee, I started checking in on my Yelp App, by the time I finished I had my coffee in my hand. That's AMAZING. Before my visit to 7 Leaves, my criteria for a great tea place was 1. Boba 2. Not Over Sweet. 7 Leaves knocked this out of the park and raised the bar. Tried this place as a recommendation from a friend because I'm such a boba fan. The boba here was creamy and chewy.... so much so, that I almost choked with my first sip. NOT that that was bad, just unexpected. Actually, the boba here IS really good. The texture, chewiness, creaminess and size are perfect. The only thing I wish they'd change is the ice that they use. They use the cheap crushed ice and it also fits through the straw, so I got a mouth full of boba AND ice at the same time. Kinda didn't know what to do that that point, but ... I made it work. The ice they use at my favorite place uses bigger chunks of ice (looks like from an ice machine) so they do NOT fit in the straw and you just get a mouth full of boba with your coffee/tea. I enjoyed reading about their different flavors of coffee & tea and ended up with the cafe su da, but the staff here was so friendly, they offered me samples of all the other flavors, too!! Super thrilled there's a 7 Leaves much closer to my house. The original Garden Grove location was very compact and had a ridiculous excuse of a parking lot. This one doesn't exactly have a great lot either but it definitely is roomier. Having opened across from Cypress College and sharing the same building as Frostbites, UFC Gym, Campus Billiards, etc. it's pretty much certain that teenagers, college students--practically anybody in the age 15-30 demographic will be making use of this establishment--but it doesn't really concern me. I follow the 'grab-n-go' mantra when it comes to coffee houses. Classic Thai tea is my typical poison when it comes to 7 Leaves. The drinks cost about $2.95 but they charge a little extra (40 cents to be exact) when you're feeling a little adventurous and want add-ins like boba or grass jelly. I've also tried the iced coffee, green matcha tea, sea cream jasmine tea (slightly sweet and very refreshing. My second choice) and strawberry hibiscus tea but for some reason I always revert back to my first love--that damn Thai tea. It's not too sweet but not watered down. The tea flavor is still present but not overwhelming. Always a nice choice to pursue. Want to know another favorite of mine at 7 Leaves? I'm sure you do. French macarons! Heaven's little sandwiches. I'm pretty sure I'm paying penance for something terrible I did. Otherwise, I would have tried 7 Leaves BEFORE I officially moved out of LA. I'm a little picky when it comes to my milk tea. That said, 7 Leaves is some of the best milk tea that I've had in SoCal. It rivals some of my favorites back home in the Bay Area. 7 Leaves excels in providing milk tea that actually tastes like tea. That, and their sea cream is heaven. A friend recommended the sea cream jasmine tea ($3), and after taking a sip, I had to order it. The cream is actually creamy rather than frothy and has a light saltiness that mixes perfectly with the bold jasmine flavor. The jasmine avoids being overly floral while still maintaining the taste of being real tea. I get my milk tea with half sugar wherever I go. Something I found very unusual was that they use different types of jasmine tea for different levels of sweetness. I thought this was fascinating! I've never seen that done at any other boba shops, where they just limit the amount of syrup/sweetener that they add to the drink (and this generally works fine). The tea that they use for the less-sweet version is not only cheaper (only TWO DOLLARS for a less-sweet sea cream jasmine tea!), but gave the drink an entirely different flavor. It almost tastes like a completely different drink. This isn't a negative, but it is something to keep in mind if you love the flavor of their regular sea cream jasmine tea. I noticed on their menu that their taro milk tea is made with freshly ground taro, something you rarely see, and that they carefully detail all their drinks with descriptions of the types of tea/other ingredients. It's great to see this level of detail and quality. The decor is clean and elegant. Lastly, but importantly, I received great service here. The girl who took my order was friendly, patient, and very helpful in explaining the difference in the variously sweetened teas we got (after we tried them and got confused if we had ordered wrong). Warning: You can get very addicted to these drinks as they are very tasty! You may want to ask for easy ice because one third the cup is ice, so after 4 sips that makes it about 75 cents a sip! I usually get 3 or 4 drinks.. It is still cheaper than Starbucks and the service is Ultra Ultra Fast and genuinely friendly. The place is clean and the only reason people hang out at Starbucks across the street from 7 leaves is probably because they have never had a drink from 7 leaves. I think the mung bean drink is definitely an acquired taste. I thought it was disgusting the first time I ever tried it and was super confused about why the reviews raved about them. But over time, after taking sips of my friends' drinks, I began to realize it was actually pretty scrumptious. I, however, still stick with the sea salt coffee. My girlfriend and I love it. Very friendly service and great drinks! This location was right next to a Frostbites that I was visiting so I decided to try it out since I've heard about it from other people but hadn't actually tried it yet. Their sea foam jasmine green tea was really good and refreshing - with the perfect amount of sweetness, creaminess, and just a hint of salt. It was similar to the sea salt jasmine green tea at 85 degree to me, but my boyfriend thought it might've been better. He got the strawberry hibiscus which I thought was very similar to the passion fruit tea at Starbucks, but a lot better and without the weird after taste (it might be just me who gets that weird after taste?). It also had pieces of fruit in there. The total ran me around $6-7? which wasn't bad at all. I heard that this location had cream pan's strawberry croissants but unfortunately they didn't have it when I was there :( Hopefully they'll have it the next time I come back. read more

Seriously, my new fave boba spot! I love how friendly the staff is. Customer service is everything. I was a regular at Phat Straw which is one building down but stopped going because their drinks are never consistent in taste. However, when I first discovered 7 leaves, I fell in love with their Jasmine Matcha Soy. I always add boba & grass jelly. And that just makes my drink perfect.
