I really wanted to like Paris Baguette but other than great service and mostly fair prices, my visit was a disappointment. First off, great marketing with the name and logo. Who doesn't love Paris? Who isn't a fan of baguettes? And when you think of a great bakery, Parisian treats come to mind. Similar to 85 Degrees in layout and business model (grab room temperature sweets and savories what you want from cases), and coffee, cakes, slices in refrigerated cases. PB also has an extensive drink list made to order. However unlike 85 Degrees, nothing is restocked after opening. I came around 5pm on Sunday. The baked food cases were more than half empty gone. Same for most of baked goods along back wall, including cookies and bread. Their baguettes seemed fresh but lacked enough crunch that I like. PB also has prepackaged meals - sandwiches and wraps. Starting at $9, I'm not taking a risk buying potentially a mediocre meal given my dissatisfaction with the pastries. They have fancy sweets like Dubai Chocolate Mochi Donuts, and Orange Cronut. Raspberry Nutella Round Croissant. You've seen them, shaped like wheels. Mine tasted a day old. The raspberry filling was too sweet and thick. (Artificial) Crab Cake - Big with good crunch but tasted much better the first time I had it. Mixed with veggies. Almond croissant- An example of deceptively good appearance. While flaky, it didn't taste buttery or light and airy. And the almond filling just tasted sweet. No trace of almond. The space is big and pretty cozy. Tables outsides on both sides of the business. Kudos for having both customer and pick up parking spaces. I'm willing to give them one more try. My sweet tooth wants to think they sell a few good items. read more

Order was placed ahead of arrival. The ham and cheese croissant was sold out so it was exchanged with sausage roll. The cake box had sticky finger prints and cake residues left by the workers there. It gave me the instant ick. The service here is ok. They seem to just not have the patience or courtesy for anyone no matter when I visit. Parking can be a challenge due to Costco customers parking close to the bakery. Be really careful of your surroundings. The blueberry chiffon cake was not too sweet and I thought it was delicious. Definitely would be an occasional treat as it was close to a whopping $8 for a tiny smooshed cake. Same with the sausage roll. It had a strong chorizo like taste and it was rather greasy. Not something I want to get again. Although I live not far from the bakery, I will not be a frequent visitor here. read more

I've been coming to this location since it opened. Today I met Tim. He was in training. I was paying for my order and he asked me if I wanted something to drink. I said no. As I walked out I was thinking an iced mocha wild be good. So I went back in an ordered an iced mocha. He was shown by a young lady how to make my iced mocha. The young lady training him was sturn with him. For me if someone is friendly and trying their best that's a 10 to me. I told him I was going to Yelp him. His smile was worth gold. The Paris baguette in cypress is a relatively new location that I just found out. I normally go to the Cerritos location but the chocolate mousse salted caramel cake is a specific cake that Cerritos didn't offer but this cypress location did. Normally I order thru the phone but the cypress location doesn't take phone orders, all orders must be submitted online. No biggie, I placed my online order and my picked up my order at the specified time. Pickup was quick and easy. The staff was pleasant and they followed my online instructions to add a customized happy bday writing to the cake. This location has reserved parking right in front of the baker just for Paris baguette customers which is a big plus especially when it's raining. I did have some initial reservations about ordering from this location due to the reviews from other yelpers but I personally had a experience. read more

Glad another Paris Baguette opened in the area even if it is a little farther away than the Cerritos location. This Paris Baguette recently opened a few months ago in Cypress. It's in an L-shaped building across from the Costco on the northwest corner of Katella and Walker. If you recall where Italia's Pizza Kitchen and India Grill were, that's where Paris Baguette is now. I had a few rewards loaded onto my Paris Baguette account and was debating to myself which one to use. Should I go for the free drink with any purchase, or the free pastry with any beverage purchase? There were a couple other rewards like $5 Medium Coffee & Pastry Combo and $2 off a sandwich, salad, or wrap; however, neither of those would have worked for me, at least at the time of my visit. I was greeted upon entry by the female employees working the register to the right. There is a display case in the middle of the bakery, but there are also other selections along the back wall, like other baked goods and refrigerated food items. The cashier seemed to be on it because she was ready to take my order even though I had only taken a glimpse at their selection of baked goods. Either that, or she was ready to answer any question I had. I saw a handful of pastries that were pretty pricey, like about $7 or $8, and I definitely didn't want a heavy pastry right before my dinner, so that ruled out the free pastry with any beverage purchase reward. I could always save it for a later visit. I almost left without buying anything, but that all changed when I asked about the Refresher drinks. After the cashier described the drinks to me, her co-worker actually had a couple of them ready for another customer and showed them to me to help me make a decision. Heads up customer service right there! Since it was 6 PM when I went, I definitely didn't want a caffeinated drink, but they assured me there was no caffeine in these drinks. Therefore, my next goal was to find a small pastry that I could use for my "any purchase" to earn the free refresher drink, which comes in either strawberry or mango flavor. I looked around the display case and didn't really find anything of interest. The rear wall didn't have anything that appealed to me either. However, I noticed three wooden trays of wrapped breads, each of which were $2.99. I figured they'd be lighter than the baked goods in the display case, and so I was sold on a bread. I noticed there were stickers on each bread indicating the best by date, and it's worth mentioning that the red bean bread would actually remain good until the following day whereas the other breads' best by dates were that very same day. For that reason, I almost chose a red bean bread, but I settled for the Choux Cream Bread simply because it was the last one they had in stock lol. After grabbing a tray and tongs, I placed the last remaining Choux Cream Bread on the tray. I then went up to the register, but there were a couple of customers in line. It took a while before it was finally my turn to pay and redeem my reward. Even though the strawberry flavor has more calories than the mango flavor, I was feeling more like strawberry at the time, so that's what I went with. It took a few minutes for them to prepare my drink because they had a half dozen other drinks to make for other customers in the bakery. A little slow, but understandable. However, I was okay with the wait because at the corner of the front counter, they had samples of chocolate cake, so I treated myself to one. It was nice! Not too heavy and not as sweet as it appeared! However, when the employee finished making my drink, she simply said "lemonade", and I wasn't totally sure it was mine until I saw the words "Lemonade Refresher" on my receipt. Oh, so that drink is mine after all! lol I took the bread and drink to a table by the window, where I enjoyed some me time. I liked how the bread was nice and fluffy, and the cream had just the right amount of flavor without being overly sweet. However, I wish the distribution was better. Like there was way more cream in the middle, but almost no cream on one of the edges. The Strawberry Lemonade Refresher wasn't too bad either, but the strawberry flavor didn't come out as strong. I think the cashier mentioned there was strawberry puree in the drink, but I didn't taste much of it. I also thought there was a little too much ice in my drink. But overall, it was decent enough for me to get some peace and quiet after a tough day of work and being out and about afterwards. My receipt says Anna B, but I can't tell if she was the cashier or the employee who made my drink. Either way, they provided decent enough service to all the customers, including myself. My receipt also says this Paris Baguette is in Los Alamitos, which would be true if it were on the south side of Katella. Overall, not a bad visit to this Paris Baguette! We are excited to have another business like Paris Baguette come to Cypress. It's a perfect cafe/bakery. Coffee is made with Lavazza - what a brand to partner with! Lattes were our choice along with our pastel de nata (Portuguese custard tart) and salted butter twist. And of course an almond croissant for later. They were delish! Tart was not too sweet. And Husband loved the salted butter. Person for dipping in the latte. The bakery aims to please anyone and everyone. There are sweet pastries/baked goods and savory ones like curry pan - one of my favorite savories! It's a fairly large footprint for a cafe. We went around 10am and the seating area was already packed. There was one table left and we grabbed it. I think, maybe, there should be more 2-seater tables as I observed there are more 2 party groups than 4. Anyway, just my 2 cents. Service was pretty quick with the lattes. Much appreciation. A little mouse at TJs asked me if I have tried this place yet. Oh yea PB was already opened in their brand new shinny location in Cypress. Located in the Costco shopping center. I had no choice but to make a stop. This get it yourself, self serve style bakery is great. It allows cutomers like myself who has trouble ordering walk aimlessly around the display cases full of items ready to grab. I must of done 4 laps looking at everything. I saw a lot of crossiant style treats, mochi style donuts, cream filled cronuts, fruity items. Everything was fresh and quickly restocked. Just grab a tray and a tongs then go for it. They also have a few savory items. Including a delicious curry filled bread, ham and cheese bread, garlic mini crossiants, hotdog/sausage bread, etc. Along with tuna, egg salad, turkey, etc. sandwiches to grab. Cakes and single slices are behind the counter. Drink menu was extensive. Plenty of hot and cold options. Prices are very reasonable. I ordered the Chocolate hazlenut nutella latte. It was very rich with chocolate and topped with whip cream. Next time I will try a drink with less chocolate. They have an app that offers rewards and free items. Parking is terrible. They have specific spots clearly marked for the few shops in the corner but those Costco peeps must have blinders on because they still park in those spots. Luckily I arrived before Costco opened, but when I left the lot was full. So far I am a fan! They open at 6:00am. Perfect timing before I go to work. 4.5 stars and rounding up. I have always enjoyed Paris Baguette for many years now and so glad a new store popped up closer to me. This place is very clean and new. The desserts all looked picture perfect and so fresh. The desserts do cost a little more than other places but some desserts are really delicious and worth the extra cost. I have gone to the location in Fullerton and have been obsessed. When this new location finally opened, I knew I had to visit. So while we were on our way to work at an all day expo, we decided to stop by to buy some pastries and coffee. Of course, the inside is beautiful and staff is great. A couple of items I got were various mochi donuts, chocolate croissant, blueberry cream cheese pastry, cinnamon apple pie, and a twisted donut. My favorite was the Milk and Cereal Mochi donut. The donut is sprinkled with a vanilla glaze with Fruity Pebble sprinkles. We also got some savory treats like the 4 cheese quiche and the pastry frank. Everything was delicious including my Hot Chai Latte with oat milk. So if you are in the area, I highly recommend stopping by to try some goodies out. The ingredients are fresh and flavor is on point. You will definitely enjoy your visit at your neighborhood bakery cafe. A welcome (and delicious) addition to the neighborhood that's got us all saying oui oui! BUT... the coffee? Let's just say my vanilla cream cold brew had me wondering if someone accidentally used dishwater (but I already spent $6.5 so I had to guzzle it down). Definitely not the cream of the crop--Starbucks across the street or Black Dot one plaza over are way more brew-talented. Also, parking is a full-contact sport. It's in the same plaza as Costco, so bring your patience and maybe a helmet. I discovered this new place in Cypress, while traversing Katella (near Costco). This is a bakery cafe with a great selection of pastries, sandwiches, breads and coffee/tea. I tried the Buffalo Chicken Cheese sandwich. I asked for it to be warmed. Excellent! A Raspberry Almond Croissant was a delicious dessert treat. (Although a bit messy.) Everything is freshly baked on the premises. All is beautifully displayed in self-service cases. The women at the service counter were only too happy to answer my questions. Finally opened in Cypress location right in front of Costco. It was yesterday they opened the bakery. I stopped by 10:30 this morning after I shopped the foods at Costco. Not many customers so far....no big Advertising to open here. I only saw the baloons w grand opening banner. The space is tiny compared to Buena Park location because it was our fave pizzeria before. Sadly they moved Costa Mesa. We missed the pizza for a while. Haha... The ambiance is cozy, bright and café vibe. Coffee is a little better than Buena Park but not the Starbuck's cappuccino. 20% is missing....something. Smells buttery as soon as I got to the entrance. I can have breakfast on weekend. My hubby got small cappuccino, I picked crab meat croquette and cinnamon apple pie. I know the taste and flavors in the past. Wow!! They finally opened yesterday. I was waiting for a while to have French Korean bakery café in Cypress. My wife and I shopped at the Costco around 10 and stopped by the new PB. Don't need to drive. The space is tiny compared to other locations. Looks decent, organized, brand new look. Two great things for pros, First, location is great in front of Costco. Second, we can buy fresh baked breads, pastries, and cakes and eat inside dining area having coffee, tea, other drinks right near home and Costco. You don't need to go to another coffee shop in Trader Joe's mall across from the Costco or Starbuck's. Cons: Parking: terrible, tough to park after the Costco opens. Getting worse after they built new huge townhouses right next to the Costco. Space: tiny For the tip, download the PB App and get the 1st reward, free pastry w any purchases. The more you get, the more you get the rewards, free pastry, drink, roll cake, whole cake, and etc. My wife and I like French pastry bakeries like Paris Baguette, Tous Les Jours, and Jewish bakery Katella bakery in our area. The quality and prices are more than 4 stars for all 3 different bakeries Cafés. Love all!! To be honest, we like the closest location not to drive more than a mile. Our fave pastries are apple pie, croquettes, sliced NY cheesecake, and cream cheese pastry. Hope they have big opening event to promote like other PB locations. So quiet for the grand opening. One additional comment about the coffee, We are loyal customers at Starbuck's for years and noticed the coffee taste has something missing, especially my cappuccino, no idea why??? They have free WiFi, plenty of comfortable seating and the coffee is also really good. I had the pistachio latte, my daughter had the strawberry lemonade and a bunch of pastries to go. I had the cookie croissant, the cheese danish croissant, a strawberry custard croissant and a strawberry custard topped chocolate chip pastry. All amazing. I always love these server yourself pastry shop and this one was fantastic an amazing selection, (wish I took some photos but my family was to excited) we got 2 hotdogs rolls, 1 hashbrown ham and cheeLorraine, quiche lorraine, sweet milk bun, and a few others I don't remember and they still had a ton more we have to try. The girls behind they counter were so inviting just like the place had fun conversation while they counted up everything we bought. The pastries look lovely & while some just have only a hint of ingredients found inside they are fresh & taste good. We tried a round, vanilla custard filled pastry, a strawberry croissant (5.39) & a ham & cheese pastry for $4.39. We didn't see the prepared breakfast sandwich's but will try those next time. You can have these heated, so ask the cashier. You get a tray & with tongs you choose your food items from wall displays & museum worthy acrylic cases & pay at the counter. The LavAzza brand coffee is a hit! The Cafe Mocha was really smooth. Price-wise the coffee & beverages aren't as expensive as other coffee houses so that's our focus from here on in. You can also get their app for specials. I wish the parking was easier as this is a great place to meet a friend or stop in for a coffee & treat but Costco dominates the giant parking lot like a T-Rex dominates a Chihuahua. I like this place. I've never had any issues with customer service. The pastries and cakes are consistently good especially the blueberry chiffon cake. I had a breakfast sandwich once and it was tasty (if you don't toast it, it won't be tasty). The mochi donuts are great too! Now, it may sound like I come here often, but the truth is I do. I can't help it I like cake. Sometimes the tables are covered in pastry crumbles, but the employees can't control messy customers (you know who you are). This was my first visit to a Paris Baguette. I was blown away by the pastries. The display cases are full of beautiful confections. We bought a variety of items to sample. 3 slices of cake. 1 slice of red velvet. 1 slice of chocolate chiffon cake and 1 slice of chocolate Ganache. The red velvet was the best by a landslide!!! It was moist and decadent with cream cheese frosting. We bought 2 cookies. 1 triple chocolate chip and one white chocolate macadamia nut. The white chocolate macadamia nut was the best item we bought overall. It was delicious. We also got one brownie. It was a little dry. Both chocolate cakes were light as air but kind of bland in flavor. We also purchased a loaf of sliced sourdough. That I will try for toast at breakfast. I would definitely try more pastries like the pain au chocolate. They had pre-made sandwiches that looked yummy. It was well worth the visit. The packaging was very nice! Great store overall, one small suggestion is a sign that says please use headphones when phone volume is on. Additionally the wooden bench/cushion area moves all together at once and is very flimsy. So if one person is anxiously shaking their leg we all feel it even from quite a ways down. With these two issues it's a little difficult to do work in here. Also your own personal hotspot does not seem to work. read more
