    Charro beans side dish, superb!
    Alice A.

Driving back to Denver and stopped in Strasburg to avoid rush hour. Was headed to Subway when we saw this place with a full parking lot. It was packed at 6:30 on a Wednesday night. We snagged the last table. Lots of Latino patrons so must be good right? We were not disappointed. The comp chips were delivered pronto and hot with medium heat salsa. We got the carne molcajete to share between the two of us and it could have fed 4! It was all delicious but the charro beans were surprisingly flavorful. No wonder since it's stewed with pork skin, bacon, and sausage. The rice was good too. i Usually sides are bland at best. The waitress didn't even charge for extra tortillas. The place is nicely decorated too. We will stop here again next time.

    House margaritas

This restaurant is a spectacular place to have lunch and dinner. My first time visiting was for lunch last year. I was impressed with the great service and the quesadilla. The drink that I purchased was delicious but was not a margarita. Unfortunately, I cannot remember the name of the drink. The second time coming here was for Cinco de Mayo, and also a celebration of myself, and my two friends. We all landed the jobs that we applied to. The ambience of the restaurant was very lively due to the Cinco de Mayo celebration. We had the house margaritas which were on special for the same price as a 12 ounce margarita but was 18 ounces. The margaritas were not as strong as I would have preferred. They tasted more like margarita mix than a well balanced drink. We shared the fajita combo. The combo had shrimp, chicken, beef, and I believe pork. It also came with a bowl of soup, Spanish rice, some sides, and tortillas. The fajitas were marinated to perfection. My friends loved my suggestion to come to this restaurant. We will all definitely be coming back again for the rest of the items on the menu.

This is a casual restaurant serving traditional Mexican fare (you can tell by the name) and margaritas in a lively festive atmosphere. The menu covers the staples; tacos, burritos, enchiladas, fajitas, etc. They also offer some vegetarian and vegan options. The plates I've ordered have arrived with fresh and flavorful ingredients delivered by a friendly wait staff. I've had the beef enchiladas with rice and beans and both the steak and chicken fajitas (love the tortillas). Tasty salsa with nacho chips to round it out. Good stuff. Easy parking.

Mediocre pricey food Ordered a Chile verde and a veg burrito to go Both served wet which i cant stand Flavors were bland and forgettable Mediocre chips and commercial salsa Probably better to dine in

    This is $9. FFS

A "side" of guacamole is apparently $9. Because I ordered guacamole, and what came was less than a quarter cup of guacamole. I didn't order a side. But $9 for a tiny container is ridiculous. I called and the staff said that was what they serve. Pathetic.

The sweet potato still my favorite dish, but I hand to day the queso funfido from the happy hour menu was a close 2nd. If you go 2-5pm, I can't recommend this enough. You have to get it. Same as my 1st time going, I love this restaurant for their great dishes and flavor profiles. I absolutely feel like I'm paying for the food, and not any atmosphere or showsmenship, which for me is an important factor when recommending a restaurant. Only small detail, we got the ceviche as our 4th dish. Given that is sweet due to the coconut milk, I feel this should have been last as a kind-of desert-like dish. Either way, still an absolute gem and must in town

The quality has never slipped and every menu change feels exciting and somehow even better than the last. The standouts are always the scallops and the sweet potato! Not ashamed to say I think about these two dishes all the time... And whatever fish they feature as a main is consistently incredible (it's been halibut recently). The chef's counter is hands-down the best experience. It's intimate and such a fun way to interact with the chefs. Also love that they offer an NA sparkling rosé! This is honestly pretty rare. This place deserves every bit of recognition and praise it gets. One of the most consistently exceptional dining experiences in Denver!!

The food was delicious! We got $2 chips and salsa off the happy hour menu and the queso con soyrizo (not on HH menu) which was served with warm tortillas. Honestly we probably didn't need all that because the tacos were so good I could've just filled up on more of the tacos, but still was a great meal! I ordered the lengua, pastor, and taco special (breaded shrimp). They were all so good. Think taco quality of a good street taco spot but with the ambiance of a cute tex mex bar. The bartender was great and made a solid marg ($8 on happy hour). You get a great deal on taco Tuesday but I'm sure you'd get great service and quality any day of the week!

Then you are driving the neighborhood hoping to find a spot. Finally parked and walked to the restaurant. Host told me it would be 30 minutes but the actual wait was 50 minutes. Spend so much time parking and then waiting, at what point do you give up and leave empty handed? Restaurant is VERY LOUD. Finally got a table and ordered OFF MENU. Server agreed to substitute shrimp for my enchiladas and they were good! Fresh corn tortillas were the highlight. Ordered tres leches cake and enjoyed it too. Was a nice meal but just not worth all the hassle.
