I love this place. Has all the same food options as the Duluth taphouse. I like the small plates with a small price. The ingredients could be of a higher quality, but it's bar food. However, the wait staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. I personally like the beer selection here better than the Duluth side. Parking is super easy and free (unlike Duluth). It's an awesome bar with a great atmosphere. This place is the only reason I go to Superior. read more

My boyfriend and I stopped through here because we stayed in Duluth the night before and he wanted to say he had been to Wisconsin. We had two requirements: craft beer and cheese curds. This place delivered on both fronts! The bartender, who was also the GM, was a wealth of beer knowledge and gave us multiple samples before settling on different local, unique, microbrews. She did well trying to get us to describe the kind of beer we wanted. I tried a few different breweries that I had never heard of and was very impressed by their selection. The cheese curds were fried and came with some form of aioli dipping sauce. They were salty and hot and everything I want when I want little flaming balls of lactose in my mouth. Nailed it! I will be back in the area for work in the near future, and I will be eating her again. I'm also open to trying their other locations, which I was told had completely different selections as far as beer is concerned. I tried this place because they won the "hamburger contest". I loved the interior and that's where it ended. The hamburger was dry, the bun was ice cold and the "fried onions" were cold. What is it with places these days that need these "bready buns". The runner up in the hamburger contest does no better. My lunch partner didn't get what he ordered. AND - for a bar - why do you serve diet coke in a can? Not impressed and I won't be back. Too many better places. Sorry.... I have to be honest. read more

DO NOT get the French fries here. Slim cut and very greasy. The oil was way too cold which soaked in making them gut bombs. The taco enchiladas were a C- at best. Couple that with not having their advertised beers and there is little reason to come here. They really need to step up their game to get my business if ever. read more

Last weekend was our first time here. Disappointed that we hadn't been there sooner. Staff was patient polite and very helpful. Lots of great menu selections. It's not just burgers and fries but well thought out burger menu and fries with choices of seasonings. Many other menu choices too. Kudos for all the awesome vegetarian selections. Including burgers with a veggie patty instead of meat. One of my favorite veggie burgers in years. The starter selection is great we had the beer cheese wontons with chili sauce. That was a fun twist that tasted terrific. The food we ordered was all fresh and delicious. The reward card was great and we already have a lot of money saved for our next visit. 7 West in Superior is one of my favorite places to visit. Let me start off by saying- I'm not really a "burger girl"..but.. We are regulars pretty much every Tuesday which is 2 for $20 (2 burgers - or taco orders, 2 fries, and 2 beers for $20). Their burgers are pretty dang good! I love having a wide, rotating selection of beers to choose from- I especially enjoy fruit beers and ciders. The waitresses are personable and very attentive. Majority of their menu selections are excellent! My favorite is the Taphouse burger. Their beercheese is amazing! Try the beercheese wontons! The only items I've had that were disappointing is the black n bleu burger (dry and lacking overall) and shrimp creole tacos (they need to use bigger shrimp-not salad shrimp). Sign up for their rewards card and you earn 10% back (30% on Sundays). It really pays once you visit a few times!! I'm surprised to see a few reviews having bad experiences with service..of course..it's a taphouse bar that specializes in beer- not a 5 star elegant restaurant- who cares if your soda came in a can-can't please everyone. read more

First time at 7 West Taphouse in Superior, less than impressed. Let me start out by saying we are not picky eaters and would rarely spend the time to write a review but this place was so disappointing! Our server had zero personality, when we asked about the specials she pointed to a board on the wall (how about being a good waitress and telling your patrons about the specials?) The shrimp tacos were ridiculous, the shrimp they use are cooked salad shrimp, the size of pencil erasers! Tasteless. Fries were luke warm at best, Their veggie burger is just a frozen patty. Wait staff never checked in on us after serving our food (party of 7), had to go up to the bar to ask for the items the waitress forgot. I could go on and on but nobody wants to read a overly long review...out of 7 of us we all agreed we would NEVER go back! The only good thing I can say is the decor is nice and I can appreciate the old building however the rest is garbage. It's too bad, I was hoping Superior would finally get a decent establishment.
