I was in the mood for Cajun fries and saw online that they had them on the menu so I called them in for a pickup order. Over the phone was easy to order and picking them up was a breeze. When I finally tasted them, WOW they are #1 Cajun fries I've ever had. They had just enough of a kick to get your nostrils flowing a bit but not even to where it burned your whole mouth. Cooked to perfect with just the right amount of seasoning. If I'm in the area again, I'll be stopping right on by for another order! read more

The service was the only positive thing of our visit. In the group we had 2 burgers, chicken tenders, and 2 salads. It took quite some time for our meal to come out. Based on the temperature of the "hot" food when it arrived, it had likely been sitting a while. Burgers and fries had very little heat in them. Chicken tenders were already cold. Burgers were both over cooked and not very well seasoned. We sent one plate back and it was returned to us less than 2 minutes later, marginally warmer than the first time and still extremely over cooked. The buns were somewhat dry and stale. Salads tasted good, but its salad. Would not recommend. There has to be a better place in Superior to eat. read more

This review is all about cheese curds. Fried cheese curds, to be specific. Two orders of fried cheese curds, because I already knew one would not be enough. I was of course correct. Two was about right because as stuffed full of cheese curds as I already was by the time I got here, when am I ever in Wisconsin? More curds. I'm sure beer, other food, etc. is all good. They were very quick with my order and they have a nice system to get to-go orders out the door. Very cool atmosphere inside. But I'm pretty sure if I ever come back to Superior, I will sit here, get my 5 orders of cheese curds, and enjoy some cheese and beer. I love Wisconsin. read more

Could have been possibly the worst food I've had in a long while. The downside was that I was so hungry, I had to eat it. I ordered the one-eyed Jack burger. The extensive menu of burgers and tacos looked of that Midwest Plain vibe of 0 creativity. Most items were $8.99 or higher a la carte with 3.99 upgrade charge for fries. Nothing was special on the menu so I went with an odd pick of burger, egg, on a pretzel bun. I guess I assumed there would be other things, but no just a few pickles. I also ordered a side of cheese curds( I mean when in Wisconsin how could I not) right...wrong. The cheese curds were $7 and as tasty as Wisconsin Cow dingleberries. The largest curd the size of a nickel. Solid basket! When the burger came out, I could see immediately my hopes on even an average meal were short lived. Maybe it was road kill or maybe it was the cardboard taste of the pretzel. But the combo has me thinking I'd be better off eating a 1990's phone book. Thankfully they have a ton of beer which I didn't have, but their selections looked great, and I wish I drank for my caloric intake this evening. read more

My husband and I were visiting the Duluth-Superior area, and we chose to eat at 7 West TapHouse based on Yelp! reviews. The taphouse is in a historic dentist's office in the Tower Street district, and the tin ceiling and brick walls add to the inviting nature of the space. It wasn't too crowded when we arrived, with only one waitress (Katie) on the floor. She was SUPER busy but very kind and helped us out a lot with the menu. When I wasn't sure about which beer to choose, she gave me a sample of one of the seasonal beers (Castle Danger Maple Marzen) and it was so yummy that I ordered a full glass! We started our meal with cheese curds, which were perfectly done: deep-fried but light without being greasy, still springy, and SO tasty!! The Taproom dipping sauce was a great blend, reminiscent of a thousand-island dressing. I had the cream cheese and green olive hamburger--what an interesting and tasty combination!--and a starter salad, and my husband had the #7 West OMG melt, which was delicious! It was a memorable meal in memorable surroundings, and we'll definitely be back to the TapHouse on our next trip to the area. read more

If you're craving French fries or tater tots, you can stop trolling Yelp and just head directly here, because you have found the POTATO MECCA. They take their taters seriously here! Beer battered fries in any number of flavors, plus you can order like a dozen different dipping sauces. My husband and I joke that the one thing we missed during the pandemic was tater tots and French fries (but we're only half joking). And they have fish tacos (pro tip, get the sweet sauce on the side)! None of these are ever quite right when we make them at home. 7 West gets all these things right, and makes a killer wild rice veggie burger to boot. To top it off, we were able to order take out effortlessly and they gave us great fast service with zero errors. I only wish the stupid pandemic would chill out so we could taste some of the amazing beers they have on tap! This place is the best burger joint in town. It offers various patty substitutions like veggie burgers. I was really impressed by our waitress who memorized our entire order (which had some complicated additions), and the speed that our food came out was great! My only negative is that the fries cost extra. It's nice that the burgers are cheap enough that the price of the fries aren't too much of a hassle, but it's just a bit odd that you have to pay extra. I travel all over the greater Midwest for work, and had heard good things about this place, so I thought I'd give it a try. I called in a to go order on 1/22 and picked it up at 4:30. Everything was ready and correct. I got a side salad which was good, Korean BBQ Pork tacos and fries with cheese queso sauces! I highly recommend getting Korean BBQ Pork tacos! Some of best I've ever had! The only thing I personally would change is to have the fries a little crispier. For me they were a little soggy. The reviews we read said "lots of beers" "clean bathrooms" & great food. Well 2 out of three were true. They do have a lot of different beers, and it is a nice clean place, but our food was terrible. Frozen burger patties, we had both a beef and turkey burger- yuk. Canned mushrooms and bland cheese. We ordered the fries with Parmesan seasoning- which means fries doused with that popcorn seasoning. Definitely not a good choice. Service was good. read more

Had a fun time stopping in this place for a few quick ice cold beers and an appitizer snacks with my family. The place was very busy, but a fun atmosphere. Maybe not the greatest choice if you have really young children. It was a little louder of a place, but it was also 6:30ish pm so during prime time dinner. Either way it was not a big deal to us.... We were just happy to be in a clean atmosphere, have a friendly server, with good smelling and looking food. I found this place as my family was passing through town. I based our stop off other reviews and we are glad we did. We were not dissapointed! I was very happy to see a very impressive and extensive beer menu. Lots of local choices to choose from. This was perfect for me not being from the area, to get an opportunity to try some of these local area favorites. The best part was they offered everything in flights so we could try a few more and not have to drink an entire pint. Food was tasty as well. Finished up a two week backpacking trip and was looking forward to a hot meal! The burger and fries were good- loved the different dipping sauce options. However, the service was upsetting. Very few full tables in the restaurant but still took 15+ minutes to bring part of my meal that she forgot about after delivering most of it. Received the check but no itemized bill - had to request and wait another 15+ minutes for that as well. Overall, decent stop but nothing to reroute a trip over! read more

Had lunch in Superior today with my wife. Had there California Burger, which was great . Wife and I shared there std. in house fries, which in my view leaves a lot to be made better. Not anywhere near top of the line for regular std. fries. Last, but not the only gripe, they have only iced coffee, not hot coffee. Being a coffee drinker, I find that a big letdown and it will effect choices in the future. Not offering hot coffee is a big deal to this guy. I might, but I doubt if I'll visit any of there beer halls in the future. read more

I really wanted to like this place, to support a Superior restaurant. The decor is quite nice - a blend of contemporary style with old-school. The tin ceiling is great. As for the food.... if you want salt, this is the place for you. Waaaay too much salt in my burger. Aside from that, it wasn't particularly flavorful. The onion rings were nothing special, and rather expensive considering the sparse offering on my plate. I went for an early lunch, so eschewed a beer in favor of a soda. Was a little surprised to receive a can rather than fountain drinks. This meant paying $2 for a meager can of coke. C'mon. Maybe I wouldn't have minded, except when my bill came I saw I was also charged for the dipping sauce that I was offered for my onion rings. Add it all up and it wasn't cheap. Note: burger does not come with fries or anything- it's all extra. I will try again sometime. Maybe the cook just wasn't paying attention, having an off day or something. I love this place. Has all the same food options as the Duluth taphouse. I like the small plates with a small price. The ingredients could be of a higher quality, but it's bar food. However, the wait staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. I personally like the beer selection here better than the Duluth side. Parking is super easy and free (unlike Duluth). It's an awesome bar with a great atmosphere. This place is the only reason I go to Superior. read more
