Update: first time was great, so I returned for color and cut. The color was good, although she reuses the same gloves for color on EVERYONE. The cut was bad: it looks like I have 2 layers, one halfway up at the nape of my neck and the other, the length of my hair. Will probably need to cut a lot of it to blend the layers and correct it. I don't get haircuts very often cuz I'm nervous about people cutting my hair, and I'm very picky about hair stylists, I hate going into a "glam shop" and getting a snooty hairdresser who overprices the cuts. 702 is a very quaint, small shop without all the extra bs. So, after reading great reviews, I decided to try this place for a haircut. Espaida cut my hair. The layers were great in the front. All I did was "ask" her if it was short enough in the back, because I couldn't see it he mirror, so she says, "I'll just cut more off." She completely RUINED the entire haircut by just lopping off the bottom, not even tapering it! It looked HIDEOUS! It stuck out in the back like a shelf. I called her to fix it and left 3 messages because they don't answer the phone! Not one callback in 2 days! I finally had to go elsewhere and get a whole new haircut, a lot shorter than I wanted, but a lot better too. This place is a dark, depressing dump. Idk why reviews mention such a bargain, but they still charge $45 for a haircut. Obviously, I do not recommend this awful place.. read more

I recently visited Las Vegas and needed a good hair stylist to homogenize the color of my hair. I changed the color of my hair during the pandemic and did this in SJ California. The lady who did this was good, but then, we moved an hour away from SJ and the place ended up being far away for me. During my last visit to Vegas (Around July 5th or 6th of this year), my niece recommended me 702 Hair Studio, so, I made and appointment. I showed up around 3:00pm and Maritza took care of me. Not only did she do an amazing job with my hair, but she also went above and beyond her duties by staying a little late until she completed her work. The results were fabulous.... She made me look like a movie star. My hair color looked so homogenous, and the style was fantastic. Plus, she added some lighter areas on the top that made my hairdo look in style, trending, modern, etc. The volume she created with my hair looked incredible. I couldn't believe that was my hair. So beautiful and shiny. I wholeheartedly recommend any man or woman to come to 702 Hair Studio in Vegas, their service is great, and they make you feel like a movie star when they're done with you. So I completely over processed my hair almost two years ago with hair color and hair tools and product and not to mention stress- my hair had no hope, it was only a couple inches long because it kept breaking off I couldn't do anything to it because of how dead it was, it was horrible. Thanks to Ms. Maritza and Aura my hair is alive again! It shines and has grown and I can wear it without having to style it put heat in it! Aura did a couple of Botox treatments and after the first one I was able to run my fingers through my hair again, literally brought tears to my eyes. After having had someone in California do my hair for over 35 years, I moved to Las Vegas several years ago and was hesitant in trying to look for a new salon/stylist to take over the services I was used to. A random visit to the salon and meeting Maritza (who btw, was cordial in spending a few minutes answering my questions) I booked my appointment with her. So far, I have seen Maritza several times. . .and each time she works wonders on color, conditioning and cut. . .and the prices of services are great. She is truly a professional and very knowledgeable on her craft. It is important for you to call and speak to her about the services you require, salon prices, etc., however she will need to evaluate the condition of your hair and coordinate the plan on what you would like her to do. I was able to come in the next day as I requested. This lady is one of the best I've ever encountered. Maritza is fantastic -- the last place I had gone had done all sorts of stuff that wasn't what I wanted, and Maritza took the time to understand exactly what I wanted, explained what was currently going on in my hair, and was very upfront about what she could fix and what would just take time (she fixed basically everything). She also helped me understand what to ask for in the future to keep everything how I like it. Absolutely a great stylist, and a super reasonable price. 702 Hair Studio is a LIFE SAVER. Long story: I'm a model and did a 4 hour underwater photo shoot in a pool. I didn't realize that the pool was filled with chlorine and it completely saturated my hair and stripped the color out. I thought I had gotten the chlorine out enough to dye my hair again and I was SO wrong. It ended up turning my hair almost black! This happened right before the first day of a model convention and I almost completely missed my first day of work (I was a booth model selling calendars for a local animal charity). A friend Michelle introduced me to 702 and THANK THE GODS because they completely saved me! Not only did they salvage my hair; they got me back to a beautiful red with enough time to finish working that day. MIRACLE WORKERS. Everyone treated me like family and worked on my hair simultaneously just to make sure I got to my convention at a decent time. Talk about above and beyond! What a pleasant surprise. Coming from Hawaii where my stylist knew exactly how I like my haircut was a bit of a challenge in finding a new stylist. I tried different places and was mildly satisfied. In the reviews for Salon 702 Mauritza was mentioned quite often. I called and left a message. Mauritza returned my call and I thought great the number one stylists has returned my call. Mauritza was very nice but she recommended Esbaider as my stylist. Well she didn't steer me wrong because Esbaider was very knowledgeable and talented. She had the most beautiful hair and color. Esbaider was quick, efficient and very accommodating. I was impressed with Esbaider and recommended her to my neighbor who was able to get her haircut because a very nice gentleman in the building who owns a Pet Grooming business gave up his appointment for her. Very nice people in the building. Esbaider is a great stylists and you will love her. If you have any need for a pet groomer I would not hesitate to take my precious pet to the owner of the pet Grooming business in the same building. Not only did I receive a great haircut, but she fixed my amateur pandemic efforts. I really appreciated that she listened to what I wanted and cut my hair accordingly. I live in California, but usually get my hair done at a salon in Las Vegas. Unfortunately, due to COVID, the salon I usually go to closed and I had to quickly find a replacement. I yelped the closest salons to my moms house and found this salon with a decent amount of reviews for the stars it had. I made an appointment for 9am. When I got there I was greeted and everyone was super friendly. The owner, Maritza, was nice and had me sit with another lady. At first I got a little worried because when I showed the girl the picture of what I wanted she seemed cofused and called Maritza right away. Maritza looked at it and told me that the picture was just highlights, but it said it was a balayage. I quickly googled the difference and didn't see anything big so I said ok. I sat there for 6 hours for highlights and a cut and the whole time the girl kept calling Maritza and because she was speaking Spanish, and I don't understand Spanish, made it seem like she was worried about the way the color was coming out. She kept tsk tsk every time she took off the foil like it wasn't right. Anyway, fast forward to the ending I don't hate what I got, but it wasn't what I wanted or expected. The color is pretty, but again not what I wanted or expected. The picture on the left is what I wanted and the right is how it turned out. Not ugly at all, just not what I thought I was getting. The service itself was nice and staff was friendly, but if you can't do what I ask for just tell me that so I can find a salon that can. Thank you to the lady who did my hair though.
